KeybladeMasterDeadpoolio 55 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) I think that Unchained X is the worst game in the whole franchise. That's right, I think that Re: Chain Of Memories, 358/2 Days, Re: Coded, and Dream Drop Distance are all better than this piece of crap because of one simple thing: you don't have to be Bruce flipping Wayne to play them. Now I know that it's a mobile game and mobile games tend to be Pay To Win but seriously, Square Enix? Were you really that hard up for cash? I mean, the fact that you have to buy all the good medals instead of being able to earn them in the game itself is bad enough but did you have to make it so damn random that only people with billion dollar incomes can afford to dump enough into it just to get anything half decent? And then there's the levels. Now, I know what you'll say, "just grind and you'll level up in no time". Except I can't grind because the damn AP gauge runs out too quickly and I have to wait twelve hours for it to refill! How the hell are there players that are level 250 when all I can barely manage is a measly 180? I downloaded it the very second it became available in North America! Either I must be insanely unlucky or I'm the only financially challenged player in a Union full of trust fund kids! And the worst part? I can't stop playing or else I'm going to miss all of the crucial plot points! Firetruck you, Square Enix, you colossal greedy assholes! Robbie the Wise 5,050 Posted September 17, 2016 I think it's deplorable that Nomura has made such a heavily canon game into this money-grubbing-pay-to-win game. 4 Dio Brando, Sendou Aichi, HarLea Quinn and 1 other reacted to this

Hell, I was hoping that I would at least get Xemnas but all I got was the same old crap I've been getting every time I try! I'm especially hoping that I can somehow get a Namine medal because it seems to be the only way to beat those stupid Adamantite Orb challenges.

Oh you poor thing Did you atleast get one of the new medals? I would've been happy with a Roxas, Ansem or Monster-Marluxia... I don't usually play much, I just log in once a day to grab my jewels and then I use my jewels to grab a pack whenever the epic carnival comes around. Aww man, that really sucks yeah, I'll admit that the draw I did today was one of my better draws that I've ever drawn. My previous draws were very much like yours. I don't mind paying for my Jewels, but the problem is they are so damn expensive. I live in Australia so the currency conversion makes jewels much more pricey. I have never bought any jewels and I don't intend to since with the same money I could buy myself a nice meal or some new clothes or even watch a movie with some friends. If Square Enix made it so it was $5 for 3000 jewels, I wouldn't mind coz that would mean I'm paying 50 cents per medal (and honestly they should be worth even less than that) Spending $23 on 10 'imaginary' medals only buys self satisfaction that is short lived and will VERY likely send the KHUx player into a vicious spiral of purchasing jewels with a relentless addiction to pursue that one rare medal; while Square Enix are waiting with their pockets wide open to catch the cash that crystalises from our tears. They also fail to realise that there are liddle kids playing too...and really they want to squeeze that money out of the pocket money of kids? Thats just harsh and wrong. Not to mention that the RNG is quite rigged to favour the Pay2win players, therefore accumulating 3000 jewels by free 2 play players still doesn't guarantee any good medals. Headphone Jack 1,147 Posted September 17, 2016 well consider this a wake up call. don't spend money on F2P mobile games designed by companies with the intent to profit off of them. it's not worth whatever story comes with the game to constantly pay for in game items. personally, my maximum limit would be $5 on a mobile game. if it gets to the point where i've spent more than $5 on in app purchases then i'm done. we have the internet so you'd be better off reading a summary or watching a playthrough. i think Everglow8444 has been doing a playthrough for KH:X so there you go. and it's free. 2 Kittenz and Dio Brando reacted to this

I want to prove to myself that I can still do it but to be stopped this close to the endgame of it all is just so maddening. I want to see it all to the end with my very own eyes and hands, not by someone else doing it for me. 3 rosco258, Kittenz and Joker reacted to this
WayfindersDestiny 172 Posted September 17, 2016 I've spent more than I'd like to admit trying to get any of the new medals, especially when there was a chance to get the BBS trio medal, and ended up without. Tried again so get one of the new ones so I can get the 358/2 Days Trio, and got 10 awful medals. Karistan 0 Posted September 17, 2016 You just have to accept this game as it is, I've got the worst luck in the entire game. With 127 medals purchased, only Mickey BC in the guaranteed draw, Pooh in its draw (70% to get a booster) and Minnie recently, the rest of the medal is guilted event ones and some story, and 3 358 Trio from the event. And I'm doing a great job, I did all Adamantites Pt.4 with a friend's guilted Mickey. You have to purchase the avatar boards, because most of them have epic skills, just like Attack Prize Plus... This is gonna be the first event in which I don't earn the nice reward, btw. Always scored top 5000 at HS and 2500 at Coliseum, but now is so hard to score enough points. Also Lv200 is a damn joke, are you even doing raid bosses?
KeybladeMasterDeadpoolio 55 Posted September 17, 2016 You sure? I thought the deal guarantees at least one of the new Medals. It must not be true because every time that I try to do one of these deals I always get ripped off and screwed over. I try to fight the raid bosses but I rarely find them because doing missions to make them appear drains my AP gauge too quickly. And even if I do manage to get a higher level raid boss and if I somehow manage to beat it, the amount of experience that I get is so little that you need a microscope to see the meter go up. Karistan 0 Posted September 17, 2016 There is no luck, just spend your resources well. This draw was useless, the Tier 3 medals are for 1-turn kills but they need to be guilted, and don't hope for any Tier 4. Draw only for things that will benefit you at least at 60% chance, like the 100 Acres and Beast Castle one, and guaranteed ones, if you're not aiming for HighScore: the one right now is skippable. Just do the event raid boss, right now, destroy all of its parts, and you should get 50k Lux. Let it regenerate in 3 mins and do it again. Work with your party to cast +5% bonus at the same time. You can do adamantites with Olympia and Mickey BC or Divine Rose and Xigbar, and then an Illustrated friend medal...

LightKeyDarkBlade 72 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) It must not be true because every time that I try to do one of these deals I always get ripped off and screwed over. That's weird. I haven't pulled the current deal yet but I got at least one new Medal from each of the previous Epic Medal Carnivals whenever it's mentioned a guarantee. Though I have pretty weak Medals as well without any Guilt level 4 Medal, and I always suck at the High Score Challenges. There must be a bug in your case. There has to be at least one new Medal. But the publisher AND developer of the game is Square Enix so they ARE to blame for the game's microtransactions well that's true but AFAIK SE branch has their own right to handle their games on their region. like adjusting price and content. for example, while an online game might share a same name, different region has different pricing to adjust with region's economy or which content get released now or later. SE NA actually can lower or raise their price.
Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) 3,859 Posted September 17, 2016 Good thing I stopped playing after a week or two. I saw this coming from so far away mate. But I've got something to ask, isn't it possible to just stick to the story and don't give a shit about the rankings and stuff? I think it should be possible to finish (at least) most of the main story with the drive forms and those few medals they give you as a gift (Aqua 0.2 for example). In the time I played I only did like one pull or two and got nothing. I realized it was useless and just stuck to the event missions, where you can also get fairly decent medals (you can't get the dark ones I don't think, I stopped playing way before those were included). Karistan 0 Posted September 17, 2016 They gave us plenty of good medals through events. Riku 3D, Queen of Hearts, Sora 3D and Shadow could be guilted by EVERYONE and they're fairly better than simple Jewel medals in multipliers (not counting Tier 4), reaching 4.87 (first three ones, 4 cost) and 5.16 (colorless, 1 cost). This Sweethearted Beast, for example, can reach a really nice multiplier (2.95), and even with its lowest one (2.36) he's on par with guilted story ones, who are better than 0-dots jewel medals. Sweethearted Beast Max-guilted deals a similar damage Paine Max-guilted (2.99), costing 1 less and also curing, so stop listening to those who say to skip this event: the only 0-dotted medal better than this guilted one is Sora Illustrated, and if you have it you can also use that to also buff SH Beast, and will deal even more doing so. I want to see it all to the end with my very own eyes and hands, not by someone else doing it for me. hey i understand what you mean. i'm also like that. whenever i'm playing a game and i come to a roadblock, i refuse to look up a guide because i feel as though it would cheapen my experience with the game. that being said, i also have some exceptions to that rule, such as companies essentially putting up paywalls. if i have to continuously spend money on a game to even stand a chance of winning (not even to secure progress, just money to gain the possibility of progressing), then i'm more likely to throw up my arms and say "Ok at this point this is out of my control and it's not worth spending more money on this thing when there's no promising i'll even be able to advance." in that situation, one could say that the company behind the game has already cheapened the experience and at that point it's not even worth beating yourself up over. that's a fine mindset to have (wanting to prove to yourself that you can beat a game by yourself, i mean) but it just doesn't hold up against a game designed to extract money from it's players. it's not your fault so you shouldn't feel bad about looking up the story online.
