Axeken 181 Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) As the topic title says, Is it worth playing the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained x? I'm already playing it but I would like to know if it's worth finishing all available missions? Is the JAP version further in the story than the International (INT) version? If so how far? I don't mind playing it in Japanese even if I can't read it. The way I see the x[chi] series is similar to manga and anime: x[chi] is the manga, Jap Unchained x are the raw episodes, INT Unchained x is the like the dubbed version of the episodes, and Back Cover will be like a recap film (eg Attack on Titan – Part 1:Crimson Bow and Arrow & Attack on Titan – Part 2: Wings of Freedom). That's just how I wrap my head around the x[chi] sub-brand. EDIT: Sorry if there's already a topic on this. I couldn't find one Edited September 12, 2016 by Axeken
tsumigami 47 Posted September 12, 2016 it's depend on what you sought on playing JP UX. if you go for story, currently there's not much different between JP UX and X (chi) except several filler in JP UX. watch X (chi) translated story would be sufficient. though it will be different once Castle of Dreams released. if global UX follows their schedule, then the gap between Global and JP will become bigger.say JP UX is now on quest 570, while Global UX is 450. SE NA said that they will release Skuld quest at JAN (that is quest 526 batch). which mean global UX will have 3 quest batch update till DEC (Global will reach quest 525 on DEC). then on JAN,from quest 526 and on it will be 15 quests/batch. that would take another 3 quest batch for Global UX to catch up with current JP. Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted September 12, 2016 Eh, since Unchained International is supposed to get everywhere where the Japanese version is eventually, I'd say that shouldn't be your main incentive for playing it. However, their server is supposed to be better than ours, with lower prices on jewels, more daily jewel missions, better chances at getting the medals you want, and for the epic medal deals you only have to buy them 5 times until they just give you the main advertised medal. Basically the Japanese server treats the player better than the International one does, which is stupid, but if you're willing to look past the lack of English in a largely text-dependent game then it might be worth playing for that reason. 1 WayfindersDestiny reacted to this

Thank you! These are the facts that I needed. I've been looking everywhere for JP's quest no. I've only played about 15 quests and I've already got over 5000 free gems; something I didn't get for like, i feel, 150+ quests in. Also the different medals are fun to use. And the ones with voice acting are super cool. Id much rather just wait for the English version to catch up It seems at this rate it may not for a long while. I think I've decided to play the JP version to replay the game and see what the differences are first hand. Thanks fior everyone's input Edited September 12, 2016 by Axeken
