DarkAngelGrl22567 10 Posted September 13, 2009 His voice shocked the heck outta me when I first played. I was used to small, innocent Sora's voice that was all squeaky and it would break in places. And this guy sounds like he grew up over night... I was like O.O "What happened to his voice?!" LoL. It's only slightly deeper than the Sora in KH2. It's the same voice actor which I thought was weird... Maybe he was 'adjusting' his voice a bit??? I dunno, but it seemed like everyone's voice changed in RE:CoM and KH2. He just sounds like a 30 year old.. not like that cute little kid in KH1 Exactlly, sure empotion was there WAY better then that hack McCarthey as Ventus. but still, They jsut should of replaced Haley with an actor who oh,IDK SOUNDS LIKE KH1 SORA,SINCE IT COMES RIGHT DARN AFTER THE FIRST ONE! But his voice was permanently changed via puberty sometime between 2002-2006, so he was unable to produce that voice. Actually, KH2 Sora's voice is noticeably higher pitched than his real voice. But I digress. Honestly, I was okay with it (though that was because I saw the opening scene online before I actually got the game so I had more time to adjust). I mean, it was hard to get used to, but at least it wasn't as bad as Mena Suvari. Hayley Joel Osment is a great voice actor, and has proven himself to be THE voice for Sora, but he can't do his young voice anymore, so people will complain that he doesn't sound right. But if they DID get another voice that could sound younger, you know what would happen? Fans of the game would be upset that HJO isn't voicing Sora.
