PlayStation 4 Pro announced, boasting improved game performance

Considering how they're opting to boast 60 frames per second in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, it wouldn't surprise me if they were trying to work towards those kind of high specs for KH 2.8 and KH3 as well, and certainly for Final Fantasy XV. I hope they end up doing so for all of them, they definitely deserve it.

Those aren't a list of PS4 Pro games... They are just a list of upcoming games in general.

Sony has ordered developers to create two variants of the same game from the day that the PlayStation 4 Neo is released. That means, there will be a PS4 version and a PS4 Pro version of the same game.

Think of it like Twilight Princess.There was one dedicated to the GameCube whilst the other one was dedicated to the Nintendo Wii. That's how it's all gonna work out.

I don't know why it wouldn't enhance the games. The only potential problem I could see happening is the lighting. The conference talked about dynamic lighting happening with all of the games. On numerous occasions Nomura and Yasue have mentioned how important the lighting system will be for the look of KH3 and the Disney worlds. The PS4 Pro could help or hurt the work they've already done.

But I'm not really a tech guy so who knows.

I certainly hope they'll be able to hit 60 FPS in A Fragmentary Passage. During the press conference, Crystal Dynamics stated that they'd be able to bring Rise of the Tomb Raider "north of 45 FPS" when running in high-framerate mode. However, that's a game that's already been released, not one that's one-month out of the launch window. So it's hard to tell either way if Square will be able to optimize 2.8, at the very least, to run at high framerates. I certainly am hopeful, though. I'll be picking up a PS4 Pro on launch day and testing it with FFXV, personally. I want to get an idea of the direction Square will take it.

I'd be likely to buy the Pro, if only because I was waiting for the obligatory mid-system lifespan update before doing so.

I might get it eventually, but I want to see how developers utilize it first. I can live without 60fps.

I'd hope the pro version of FFXV just focuses on keeping a steady 30fps.

And well, honestly, while this is cool for those who want to get into 4K gaming, I'll honestly give this a pass.  I'm already happy with my regular PS4, and as such, I won't be getting the Pro.  But I hope that everyone who gets it enjoys it!
