HD 1.5 ReMIX Limited Edition unboxing video released

Sora96

Updated September 11, 2013, see below.

A YouTube user has uploaded an unboxing of the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX Limited Edition. The video shows the Limited Edition's special case and artbook. You can watch it below.

The artbook contains a special message from series director Tetsuya Nomura, and this message can be read below.

Over 10 years have passed since we released the first Kingdom Hearts game. My only regret was never releasing Kingdom Hearts Final Mix overseas, so i am very pleased to now give fans everywhere a chance to play it, this time in its best format - full high- definition.

Revisiting the first game, i don't think it feels like a 10 year-old game, despite some unrefined elements. Everything was new experience for me back then. It was extremely challenging to create a completely new game system and series. However, i think Kingdom Hearts Final Mix still feels like a new game because the passion of our creative efforts i still felt in the game itself to this day.

The Kingdom Hearts Series would not have lasted this long without the incredible support from you, the fans. Response to your passion towards the Kingdom Hearts series, i will continue to create something you can all enjoy playing for the next several decades.

Tetsuya Nomura

Update: Square Enix North America have uploaded their own unboxing video of the Limited Edition of HD 1.5 ReMIX. You can watch it below.

Update 2: Square Enix Europe have uploaded their own unboxing video of the Limited Edition of HD 1.5 ReMIX. You can watch it below.

Once again, I've been duped out of something "special." Unless of course, copies here that get the artbook are like this and we get the dynamic theme code on a receipt. I kind of doubt that first part though.

Fool. I'm sure will get scans of all those photos on this site. Right, DChiuch?

If someone scans the artbook we'll upload them to the gallery.

I thought NA gets the same thing, since I ordered the limited edition on "USA" Amazon?

I preordered from GameStop before either bonus was announced and was told I'd receive both. GameStop doesn't have a Limited Edition, nor is it showing the preorder bonus, but both the Official KH Facebook page and GameStop are still advertising both.

Fool. Oh great, now DChiuch isn't going to reply to me. I like it when he talks to me. Thanks a lot, Sora96. Thanks. A lot.

Seriously though, that could be cool. I could be a little photoshop happy with those.

Um, how do you know that the US version won't get it? And what's it matter? You'll still get the artbook if you pre-ordered. Sides, Japan probably has an even better version than Europe (sorry UK fans).

Because the artbook is the case! Is it a problem to want something?

No, it isn't wrong to want something. It IS wrong, however, to whine about how someone else has something "better" or "different" from what you have (or are going to get in this case), and that your's isn't good enough. Final Mix was one thing, but this is an art book. Half the stuff is images we've seen a million times, and the rest, you're going to get anyway.

I'll admit, having that case as the book (or was it vice-versa?) would be awesome, but the knowledge that I'm getting the same contents as everyone else is just as satisfying. But if it means that much to you, I'm sure there's still enough time to get it online, if you have that much money that is.

It seems cool, but it's not really something I'm especially interested in owning.  Besides, I don't even own a PS3 at the moment so even if I did preorder it, I'd have to wait a while before playing it.

Gamestop is only advertising the theme now.

Not everywhere I go. The artbook's never mentioned on the site anymore, but all advertisement for the game that goes to GameStop, advertises the book.

At least he was nice enough to go through the book for those of us who got screwed by GameStop. >_>

I also liked how the message from Nomura mentioned "several decades". At least we know he plans to keep it going for that long.
