Kingdom Hearts 3D confirmed for digital release on eShop

Nintendo have confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] will receive a digital release on Nintendo 3DS' eShop. This confirmation comes from Joystiq, who heard the news from Nintendo in a E3 investor presentation. A list of titles confirmed for a digital release can be seen below.

Update: Joystiq have added that Nintendo have included an update to the announcement. Apparently, the digital release announcement "refers to first-party titles only". As Kingdom Hearts 3D is not a first-party title, it seems they were mistaken in announcing that Kingdom Hearts 3D receive a digital release.

i like physical copies of games better for most games, but this is cool, esp if this is a sign that they are making Birth By Sleep a download on PSN so when i get a PS Vita i don't need to keep my PSP just for Birth By Sleep, i would still keep BBS copy, but not the PSP prob and why get the digital copy instead of getting a Physical Copy if you like KH so much that you follow this website, i mean esp for Pre-order bonuses, and Mark of Mastery Edition
D**n x'D now I don't know if I want Mirror of fate and 3D physical

im tempted to get the digital copy to avoid tax, but i also really want it in physical copy since i currently dont have any 3DS games.

anyone know how much space 3D will take up? would be interesting to see how much space a 3DS cartridge has

KH3D is a pretty big game I think, it might take up about 2GB+ of space. They did say they were using 4GB cartridges, right?

And just because it's on the eshop doesn't make it tax-free. All the games I've bought on the eshop have had tax :(
i would it want to get this because im getting the MoM edition.
I don't like the idea. I would much rather have a physical copy. KH3D would take ages to download plus it would take up your SD card.
Wait, the whole game? That would take up way too much space on an SD card.
I want the demo but I'm not going to get the digital copy. It's like itunes where you can't recover the songs you buy.
I wonder if it'll release the same day as the physical release or not.
people who buy the digital copy aren't real fans /shotshotshot.
id like to get the demo but i don't want too many spoilers, so im goin for the real deal (game).

i agree, now that i think about it, since the game is so amazing , it might take lots of space acording to the demos ive already downloaded.

it is said the demo comes with flick rush as well and you can battle people online that has the demo as well
so this means you can buy it off the eshop and have it digital on your 3DS...wow cool

Yeah me too, I watched a little of the demo at E3, and literally about 45 seconds into the demo Sora gave some story details away, and I hate myself for watching it

Update: Nintendo added text to the explanation of the slide, to say "refers to first-party titles only" in regards to the dual digital/retail releases. It was just a super misleading slide, then

What could this mean and does this lower our chances of seeing BBS on PSN someday? It's never coming, I know...
NOOO BUT WASN'T IT CONFIRMED BEFORE???
History was going to be made with KH series too :(
That's not good...I heard a rumour that game companies are trying to go towards downloadable only games (doubt they are planning THAT anymore, got so much crap for it) If that happened I wonder how Disney would go for that....then again that rumour was spread almost 2 years ago..
FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!! What wrong with Nintendo. Don't matter to me, cause I'm getting the physical one.

History was going to be made with KH series too :(

Now history repeats itself.
I blame Disney for this mislead.
What the hell, Nintendo confirmed it! How can they do something like that and call it a slide?
Hell no, guys. It was confirmed by NINTENDO at E3. It HAS to come out.
IT HAS TO.

I blame Disney for this mislead.

... what
No seriously. Why would you even think that?
The blame is clearly on Nintendo here.

Nintendo does these kind of things :/
Pffft, good thing I prefer the physical copies. xD Too bad for those that wanted to download it though. : O
