Kingdom Hearts 3D "Mark of Mastery" Collector's Edition announced

DChiuch

Square Enix have announced a collector's edition for Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] in North America, called the Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] MARK OF MASTERY EDITION. This set will release on North America on July 31, 2012 for a price of US$54.99! It contains the following:

- Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] Game, the seventh entry into the series
- 12 Kingdom Hearts 3D Art Cards with chronicled art from the full series
- 5 Augmented Reality (AR) Cards that unlock rare Dream Eaters
- 360° display viewer for in-game Dream Eaters
- Nintendo 3DS Protector Case specially designed for Kingdom Hearts 3D

Some of the Dream Eaters that this bundle unlocks are Meowjesty, Frootz Cat and Kab Kannon, the last two of which have of course just had their English names revealed from this. A photo of the Mark of Mastery bundle can be seen below. It looks amazing, definitely worth it!

Update 1: The Kingdom Hearts Facebook page have uploaded a large version of the boxart for the Mark of Mastery Edition of Kingdom Hearts 3D. You can see this below. (Click for a much larger image!)

Update 2: An Amazon page has now been created for pre-order for US fans. The price is listed as $54.99, a mere $15 more than the game by itself. Thanks to Loki from KH13 for the find.

Update 3: Thanks to Nobody from KH13, we now know that GameStop have created a pre-order page for the Mark of Mastery Collection's edition of Kingdom Hearts 3D. Great news for those who wish to purchase it!

My 10th anniversary box now feels less valuable D:

Ah well, at least I can keep it sealed now (for collectors purposes, and possible re-selling value) and still enjoy the contents if it comes to the PAL region. It's awesome that English fans get these bonus's aswell without having to re-buy Re:coded and Days again!

So last week I pre-ordered KH3D from Gamestop and instead of the minimum $5 that I usually do, I paid in full out of excitement. Is it possible to change my pre-order to this (if it's at Gamestop) or get my money back to go towards this instead? Or is it too late...

This set looks sooooo great!!!

-----

If the game +3DS bundle doesn't come out in germany, I buy this.

If both are coming out here, I can't choose, what I buy (maybe both?) =O

But if nothing of them are coming out, I buy an aqua-blue 3DS (have no 3DS) and KH 3D of course ^^

When Gamestop have the Mark of Mastery edition avaliable for pre-order just go into the store you pre-ordered the game at and ask them to change it to that edition. They should be able to change it, no hassles, and you wont lose any of your money towards the game. Edited by Tsunamo

Predictable. I called this a while ago when the game was announced for a release 11 days after Europe.

I'll still be holding off my pre-order in case it gets announced for Europe after all SE did wait a while to even announce the pre-order bonus for Theatrhythm so I can hope. After all we have to get something for the 10th Anniversary otherwise that is just mean :(

Still it's pretty cool. Congrats NA, but we still get the game before you guys :PxD

This won't come to Europe, since many people have already preordered the normal KH3D. Also, 31 July is a release date that shouts: "Placeholder". Maybe USA still has a chance of releasing KH3D earlier, but most probably after Europe release, since this time USA will have this special edition.

I don't see why people pre-ordering the normal edition of the game would stop its chances of coming to Europe, and all they have to do is change the pre-order to this edition, it really doesn't make much of a difference. And how do you know many people have pre-ordered it? You don't know that for sure.

Where have you been the past few weeks? xD The July 31st date was confirmed by Square-Enix's American branch themselves, it's not a placeholder.

Sweet! I might get this! I just hope it comes out in europe, which I see no reason why not.

I like how they're including the all 12 art cards like in japan, despite the fact we dont get final mixes, and in europes case at least, no RE:COM. But if they didnt, I'd be more angrier with them, I just think it kinda funny, its liking rubbing our faces in it, ha ha.

I wonder how much it'll be in UK though... According to a currency converter, it SHOULD be £35, which is DEFINATELY reasonable for me, but for UK, a lot of things seem to be the same price or a TINY bit lower, which I'm fed up for really. I'm not paying £50 for it though.

Never really cared for this sort of stuff. TheAR cards would be cool if they actually unlocked content you couldn't get anywhere else, but you just need a picture of the card...

I was kinda considering getting it because it's the anniversary, but naaah. Gotta save my money.
