ive heard that the secret boss of bbs is only playable through critical mode can it also go through beginner or normal like kh2 with sephoroth cuz im starting on normal and still wanna fight him. and can i still play the last episode with normal.

There's nothing to confirm either option, though you could only fight the Lingering Sentiment in Critical mode (I think?)

well, maybe im wrong, but that should be true

I know Tetsuya Nomura announced it was a very difficult boss, but he never said anything about having to choose one mode to beat the boss. I think no matter what you choose you'll fight him.

for Vanitas' Sentiment you can fight him after you beat Last Episode which is for Normal Proud and Critical. But for the Secret Boss, it is only for Critical Mode

I should think you can play him on any difficulty other than Beginner, like Vanitas' Sentiment. Even the Lingering Sentiment in KHIIFM+ could be fought on Beginner.

The boss battle probably takes place out of the storyline because Land of Departure should be destroyed. So Ven and Terra should have access to it.

 

Maybe it's a Mirage Arena secret boss. The battle does take place in the same area that the LoD Mirage Arena rounds are in. Kinda like Sepheroth in KH1. Also in KH2, Sepheroth had no recollection of meeting Sora, so the KH1 battle never really took place (storyline-wise).

I dunno? It just came to my head as I was reading this, but it is a good idea. That the way there's no Back to the Future Xemnas, because the Mirage Arena isn't part of the storyline (if it was, Ven's search for Terra would have been a lot easier).
