April 7, 201015 yr I like that thinking of the keyblade belonging to one with a strong heart and since Xemnas doesn't have a heart, he can't wield it. Roxas had a part of Ven inside of him to look like ven and thus wield the keyblade. Xion could never truly wield the keyblade as she was just a puppet. I wonder if Xehanort ever whipped out the keyblade on ATW. He was probably able to wield it and thus able to turn himself and the others into nobodies.

They don't have hearts. Well in Roxas's case: He did have a heart, Ventus's in particular. At the end of Birth By Sleep in the Last Episode (However, I actually believe it is in the secret ending...), it shows Sora standing on his Pillar of Awakening (I believe that would be a proper term for it) upon which he sees a heart floating towards him, which is Ventus's. They have a brief conversation, and upon the end Ventus's heart asks if it could rest within Sora, which Sora accepts because he wants to be helpful. Time passes, and in Hollow Bastion, Sora uses the Keyblade of People's Hearts (The Keyblade Riku gained possession of, made of six of the seven Princesses of Light's hearts) to release Kairi's heart from inside of him, releasing his own heart and Ventus's in the process. Sora's heart turns into a Shadow Heartless while Ventus's heart either stays in Sora's body (Which becomes Roxas) or migrates out and back into Sora's body again (I consider the first to be the most likely theory, but both would work). This is the reason why Roxas looks like Ventus rather than Sora; while in Sora's body, Ventus's heart was using Sora as a place to recover and nothing more, having no present need for a body to control, thus leaving Sora's body as it was. However, there is another case where there was a heart inside someone and it affected that person's appearance. This case would be the case of Riku and Ansem SoD (Seeker of Darkness). Ansem SoD was looking for a body of darkness to take for his own so that he would not fade away into darkness (That is just a theory, there could be other reasons, and that might not be one of them, but it is a possibility), similar to the case of MX (Master Xehanort) and Terra, except with MX he was getting old and needed a younger body. The situation with Riku and Ansem SoD was generally the same case. When Ansem SoD took full possession of Riku's body, his heart (Heartless are hearts in all technicalities) was in a general sense more powerful than Riku's, thus having somewhat of a physical effect on his body, and making Riku look like Ansem SoD. The reason I went into that lengthy explanation is because this is technically the same situation with Roxas. When Ventus's heart entered Roxas, it was the only heart inside, thus having the greatest effect on Sora's body. Because of this, Roxas looks like Ventus, having a heart, yet still a technical Nobody. The reason why Roxas was still a technical Nobody is because Ventus's heart was still incomplete. That is basically all there is to say about that. In Xion's case: I would like to believe that she did have a heart, but I cannot be certain, as I don't recall any scenes of her crying. However, there is one situation that might make it possible for her to have a heart. This situation would be that of the other 'successful' Replica (That we know of) made by the Organization, Replica Riku. In parts of the game Chain of Memories, it is suggested that 'Repliku' has a heart of some sort. Repliku and some members of the Organization talk about it. With this in mind, it could be supposed that Replica's created by the Organization were made with hearts, and if this is true, then it could be possible that Xion also has a heart of some sort. The hearts made for these Replica's might just possibly be artificial. I am not sure how it would be done, but it is still a possibility (Remember, Noruma has given this series lots of twists and turns, so this could just possibly be one of those twists). Keep in mind the Emblem Heartless, they are artificially created Heartless that were made by AtW's (Ansem the Wise) group of scientists, most likely after AtW was cast aside. It isn't entirely known how they were made, but they were in fact made no doubt. Considering that, it is possible that they could some how make a heart, probably not a real one, but it would still be a possibility.
October 2, 201015 yr Well mates, if I do recall, an interview with Nomura stated that, yes, Xemnas could use the keyblade, in fact, he could have used two keyblades. For he is the Nobody of the fused Terra and Master Xehanort. They became Terranort, then commited suicide, and then became Xemnas. But for some reason Xemnas decides not to use the keyblade himself, perhaps to go along with the plans, for because, it was not until Roxas was found that the Organization could get hearts, for their "goal" was to get their own hearts from Kingdom Hearts. But if they knew Xemnas could use the keyblade then....things would go not according to plan, they would urge Xemnas to go along to kill heartless. Instead of Roxas and Xion, for we know Xemnas's original plans, right?

Still, I get the feeling from the story so far that Xemnas might also be a special Nobody. You heard it from Nomura himself. Xemnas is a special Nobody. Now how does this relate to the topic? Let me explain. Xemnas, more or less, was created under the same conditions Roxas was created under. Roxas, being born as the result of a Nobody with a Keyblade Wielders heart. This is what makes him special. Oh, but look. Xemnas was born the same way! But with three Keyblade Wielders heart in his Somebodies possession when he was created. Who is to say that Xemnas didn't hold onto one of those hearts? People might say, "Well, why did Nomura say that Xemnas didn't want to use his Keyblade?". Xemnas might have just been lazy, and would've preferred someone else to slay Heartless than him. Or. Him being able to wield a Keyblade would blow his cover, revealing him not to be a true Nobody. So he could have posed a Nobody just to get the others under his control, so he can create Kingdom Hearts. In KH2, his true motives are revealed. They are actually almost the same motives of Master Xehanort. Xemnas didn't want a heart, he wanted to use the power of Kingdom Hearts to change the world.

All Nobodies are born the same way. I fail to see how a Keyblade would blow his cover. Xigbar already know he's Xehanort, and Terra, either of which could wield a keyblade. The Organization had no trouble believing Roxas was a True Nobody despite him wielding the keyblade. I guess the 'lazyness' thing might work, but he seems downright reliant on Sora, Riku, Mickey and Roxas collecting hearts. And when the Organization is gone, why doesn't he pull out his keyblade to try and take down Riku and Sora? I think that's everything.
