i think it's because he can't have anyone look him in the eye because he is ashamed about taking the dark path

lol maybe he has eyes in the back of his cuz when he fight he tends to spin alot so hes lookin thru the back of his head when he spins and thinks about where they'd strike next O.o

Well in CoM it sounds like he has a really good sence of smell I always thought he could like sniff out the Heartless and Nobodies then when he's fighting he lisins and gose on instint.

Keep in mind that Heartless are hearts. Riku has Ansem SoD in him, like you said. Ansem SoD is a Heartless; he is the heart of Apprentice Xehanort. Therefore, Riku has Apprentice Xehanort's heart within him

I still don't get this guy. I mean, sure you wear a blindfold to keep the darkness from taking over, or more specificaly, Ansem AKA Xehanort AKA Xehanort's Heartless -_-

 

But seriously, he wears it when he fights!!! For god's sake Riku, TAKE IT OFF!!!! It makes me feel like a blind guy fighting heartless. His blindfold bugs me a lot when he fights. Especially when I play as him. And everytime I see this image next to his heath, sometimes I just want to facepalm. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. But it's riduclous. HOW DOES HE SEE THROUGH THAT THING!!!!

Ever heard of something like that before ? This, close-your-eyes-and-you'll-see-everything-clearer have been used in a lot of story as I've read, this is the 3rd well maybe it's an essence of meditation. and I've tried it, it was a bit working for me! just say it's concentration thing

He doesn't have super smell, he can just sense darkness, because of his connections to darkness.

But Riku has had at least 11 years of combat experience, skills that have been honed over time, even if most of it was just sparring with the other kids. He can probably hear their movement, feel the vibrations caused by them, that kind of stuff.

It really seems unlikely a kid would listen to vibrations during a fight. I'm thinking Riku can just sense everything, because everybody has some darkness in them.

I have no idea how on earth he isn't bumping into walls. It doesn't bother me too much, though. I mean, after all, no one's eating or sleeping or going to the bathroom and are magically changing clothes. Riku being able to fight blindfolded, to me, isn't a huge leap. I mean, it's a GAME. Anything can happen. Like mice talking.

I would think that he would always run into walls, attack walls, and enemies would kill him more easily but maybe his blindfold has special powers that lets him see through the blindfold, or Riku simply has ESP of where to go

I've noticed it, thought about it, and forgot about it. I'm sure they have some kind of reason for it.

Though I see your point. Maybe he looks through bottom. Or it's not as dark as you think. Like sunglasses.

I like this blindfold,its a big style for Riku.Riku in Days in my favorite Riku,I never liked Riku since Days.
