Wii/DS Wi-Fi Friend Code Thread

Posted

Ok, so a while ago MasterRevolver made the PSN account name thread. after that, i tried to make a PSN and XBL Gamertag thread, but it got locked because it was too similar to MasterRevolver's thread.

So recently i just found Deathskull3000's XBL thread, luckily that hasn't seemed to be locked.

But there's still one Mainstream system without a thread, the Nintendo Wii. if you have a wii, and any games you can play online with friends using the friend code system, put your friend codes here.

System:

Game:

Friend Code:

Use the template above to post your code. if there is a game you have a friend code which isn't up here, just put a star by 'game' and i'll add it on to the list

Wii

Mario Kart: Koolkingdom1 2579-3893-3893

Animal Crossing:

Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Koolkingdom1 3266-6052-6498

DS

Mario Kart:

Animal Crossing:

New Super Mario Bros.:

LoZ Phantom Hourglass:

Cooking Mama:

I've never used the Wi-Fi on my DS, because my home network has an extremely long password that is near to impossible to get hold of. If i ever get it, i'll put up my friend codes.

Tommorrow I will put up my Mario kart friend code. Animal crossing is my sisters game, and i find it really boring, so there's no point putting it up.

Remember: for the friend code system to work, the two people must ENTER EACHOTHER'S FRIEND CODE. That means that if you are entering a friend code onto here, add all the others of the same game so that they can add you back

Geez, isn't the PSN/XBL system so much simpler?

How To Get Your Freind Code

Step 1: Make sure a wi-fi connection is estabilished (check below if you don't already have one)

Step 2: Search on the game for a friend code section: this could be inside multiplayer, options, or in the game itself (if the game has no multiplayer, you won't be able to get a friend code for it)

Step 3: Obtain your friend code: once you've found it, write it down so you won't have to look for it all over again

How to connect Wi-Fi

DS

Step 1: Go into the Wi-Fi multiplayer section of your game, or options in some cases

Step 2: Either select 'Search for an Access Point' (Recommended by a long way), or 'Manual Setup' if you have all the details of the network infront of you.

If you choose manual setup, fill in the info and your done, these steps will continue assuming you chose search for an access point

Step 3:Pick A Network Fron't the ones that show up. make sure that the internet connection you pick belongs to you or your family, because you don't want to use a neighbor's connection.

now if it has an open padlock next to it, you will have been connected and your done. if it shows a locked one, you'll need to find the password to the connection. i can't help you there, so ask your parents or someone to find it.

Wii

Step 1: this is similar, so i'll only go through the first couple of steps. From the wii menu, go to the wii options menu in the bottom left corner.

Step 2: go to the wii system settings option

Step 3: click next until you find an option called 'wiiconnect24' and click on that.

Step 4: Go through steps 2 and 3 for the DS

Cooking Mama FTW!!! I dunno how to I use the Wi-Fi on the DS though...xD If I do I'll put up my DS Friend Code (That's if I know what my code is, and where to find it...xD)

lol same.

the only werid thing is, why put wi-fi on a DS if you play it when your not at home and nowhere near your network

Cuz maybe there are other places with Wi-Fi and you can go there? O_o

but if you're in a car, or if the place you're at has a password for their wi-fi, you can't exactly go 'can you go to the trouble of finding the password to your wi-fi connection so that i can use it for the hour that i'm here?'

I'd put mine on here...But I dont think my parents would like that.

And they dont even know I'm on here.

So sorry. I would but can't! D8

why wouldn't your parents like it?

it's not like you can even talk to eachother while connected

^ I know but...My parents are to overprotetived(gosh I can spell! xD) sometimes. So They'd kill me if I did. D8

ANIMAL CROSSING DS! As soon as I get my Friend Code, I'll put it up!

One question: How do you get a friend code?

  • Author

good question... i'll put that up in the first post

Smash Brawl now added to the list

Super smash bros can be played using a friend code [ if you have the game too. ]
