What do you think the title BBS really means?

Well, how they're chosen will probably be more to do with their Masters, however the title of the game... I'm assuming it has something to do with unbirths? Maybe like, how when Heartless get a full form [like xehanort's heartless or sora after kairi] from their light or w/e, unbirths can get it from... i dunno. kinda rambling.

Or maybe it has something to do with the beings with hearts of pure light.

Or the dive to the heart, even; since that's kinda a dream, right? Maybe the birth of a keyblade master comes from the deep-dive sleep?

I thought about this alot and: (READ THIS)

Xehanort was in a coma before Ansem found him. So Evil/Darkness/whatever made Xehanort like he was probably was born into Terra during that coma making him Xehanort.

I like where you are going with that. I think on the KH wiki it said that Nomura stated that Unbirths are the opposite of the living. Maybe death? I just wonder what the Unbirth motives are, because with Heartless they just rashly attacked because all feeling and emotions were gone and Nobodies yearned for a heart so what are the Unbirths after I wonder? Maybe Unbirths were supposed to be born, maybe future keyblade masters or people but something horrible happened? I don't want to ramble either, but I just wish this weren't so confusing. :[

The young man has served me ever since I nursed him back from death's door some years ago.

He had lost all his memories at the time, but later showed remarkable intellectual curiosity and readily absorbed my teachings, gaining deep wisdom. Any mental immaturity is surely due to his young age.

If I explore Xehanort's heart with psychological test, I may be able to recall the past locked away within. My apprentice Even has also shown great interest in Xehanort's memories.

And that would make sense. Unbirth - they weren't really born; they're a copy.

I'm going with the theory that Unbirths are like, failed clones-- that way BBS WOULD connect with everything else really well. Plus Xion would be an unbirth [since she's not a nobody she has to be something], and so would Repliku.

That is a really nice and pretty solid theory if it is all connected. I am behind your theory lol. I am sure that Repliku and Xion were not the firsts to be clones so there is still some background to that.

Well, if we follow the line that in each game the bad guy is the main enemy -- Xehanort heartless, Xehanort nobody-- then in BBS, Master Xehanort is an unbirth.

So yeah, people woulda had failed clones before, i guess. Hence unbirths.

They never said he was in a coma tho. Ansem found "Xehanort" without memories; not in a coma.

I agree that unbirths are probably clones. It makes sense when you connect most of the info form the games.

I believe Sora was awake when he stabbed himself with the Keyblade and his heart was released and Kairi began to awake when Sora performed that act and Namine was born from Sora and Kairi's heart combined. I guess it could be true that Roxas might have been born when Sora was fading into the darkness and that he was asleep or gone in that scene and Kairi brought him back.

I think Birth by Sleep's meaning has to do with the awakening of hearts.

At the beginning of Birth by Sleep, Master Xehanort sets Ven down on the tree with the paopu fruit. At that time Ventus is in a coma like state, due to his heart being incomplete from the birth of Vanitas. His incomplete heart then joins with Sora's newborn heart, allowing him to wake up, or in other terms be reborn.

My theory is that sleep is just another way to describe a person whose heart hasn't awoken, or isn't complete. Ansem the Wise then says in Blank Points, "Everything is born from sleep." What I think he means is that everyone awakens, or is born, when their heart is created/whole. Ventus fell back into sleep when his heart was destroyed after the fight with Vanitas and the destruction of the x-blade. And the only way for him to wake up is for his heart to be complete. If he does wake up, he'd be "reborn" once again.

And sorry if that confuses you, it sounded a lot better in my head <_<;...
