Rules
Each players deck must consist of between 41 and 60 playing cards. This must include exactly one "Player" card. To win the game, a player must decrease their opponent's Heart Points to 0 or reach a world level of 13 or higher. The game is turned-based, with each turn consisting of four phases.
The first phase of a player's turn is the "draw phase". Here, the player draws cards from their deck until they have a hand of six cards. If a player must draw when their deck has no cards left, then the player's discard pile is shuffled, and the result becomes the player's deck.
The second phase of a player's turn is the "action phase". Here, the player can play any World, Friend, Magic, Magic/Friend or Dark cards. The player may also choose to battle any Dark cards that are situation on their own World cards.
The third phase of a player's turn is the "challenge phase". During this phase, a player may challenge their opponent. The winner of the challenge loses HP as a result.
The fourth phase of a player's turn is the "discard phase". During this phase, a player may discard any unwanted cards from their own hand. Also, cards that participated in a battle or challenge during the turn must be discarded.
A player's "Player" card is a special card that stays in play for the entire game. The card has a level, a HP value, an attack value, and a magic value. To begin the game, the player with the Player card of the lowest level goes first.
Friend cards, which are played during the action phase, have a level, a support value, and a magic value. A Friend card who's level is more than one above the highest level Friend or Magic/Friend card on the player's field cannot be played. Also, if a player plays a Friend card with the same name as a friend card already in play, then the card in play is sent to the discard pile.
Magic cards have an effect, and once played, they are sent to the discard pile. In order to play a Magic card, the player must have a Player or Friend card in play that has a magic value equal to or greater than that of the Magic card's level. Magic/Friend cards work the same as Magic cards, but once on the field, are treated as Friend cards.
World cards, which can be played once per turn, are placed on top of each other. When a player plays a World card, they gain 1 HP. If the combined level of World cards reaches thirteen, then the player wins the game. World cards cannot be played if there are Dark cards on top of the World card pile.
Dark cards, which have a level and a power value, are played on top of the player's opponent's World card pile. The number of Dark cards that can be played is equal to the combined level of World card's in the pile. A Dark card may only be played if its level is equal to or less than the opponent's combined level of World cards in play.
Attack cards, which have a support value, are played during battles or challenges. They boost the attack value of the Player card by its support value, and after usage, are sent to the discard pile.
Equipment cards work the same as Attack cards, but are not discarded after usage. Instead, they stay attached to the Player card. A Player card usually may only have one Equipment card attached, but some Player cards allow more. If an Equipment card with the same name as a card already in play is played, then the card already in play is discarded.
Form cards, like Equipment cards, are played on top of the Player card. These give, as specified by the card's text, new stats and effects to the player card.
