#1938638 Mother Gothel will (might) be important to KH3's plot (partially)

Posted by SRKTVAMDGRLXN on 14 April 2017 - 09:42 PM

That possibility certainly exists. However, Disney villains haven't really been important to the main plot, with the exception of Maleficent. Others like Jafar only contributed in the first game.

Still, seeing another Disney villain be important to the plot would be nice. Especially with Mother Grothel's backstory, it would make things interesting.

Lol, regardless if The Keyblade War happened 400/500 years ago or 1000 years ago, I'm sure she knows something about it that neither the old coot nor his vessels knows. She is older than the entire KH cast (except from a really few characters like Hades, who is a god, Genie, Chernabog, possibly Ventus and others).

That's a good point. She goes to the flower for centuries and stays alive for all that time. It does make you wonder if indeed she has any idea about the Keyblade War. I am leaning toward no, but you never know.

Well, they shouldn't, but KH characters somehow know there are other worlds and events that took place in them (e.g King Triton somehow knew about The Keyblade War back in KH1, Master Xehanort informed Maleficent back in BBS about outside worlds).

For those who have no idea who I'm talking about, she's the main antagonist of Disney's 2010 hit animated feature Tangled. And, since a world based on this film has been confirmed to appear in KH3, she will undoubtedly appear in Corona's Kingdom (or whetever Rapunzel's world will be called) in KH3 as the main antagonist.

Now, let's get to the point of this thread. Think about it for a second: as Flynn Rider told us in the prologue of the movie, Mother Gothel has been selfishly using the Golden Flower's magical healing power for HUNDREDS OF YEARS (he doesn't say exactly how many years, but many fans speculate it's about 400/500 years) and became completely overprotective of this item to the point of kidnapping an infant Rapunzel, isolating themselves in a tower and raising the girl as her own daughter only to abuse the magical power of Rapunzel's hair. Now, there is a reason why I highlighted and caps-locked the words "HUNDREDS OF YEARS". Why I did this, you may ask yourselves? It's simple. The answer is quite simple, with three words: The Keyblade War.

Since this old lady has been living for so many (hundreds of) years, Master Xehanort (and/or any of his 12 vessels) will probably visit this world to ask her if she knows anything about The Keyblade War (which, in my opinion, she surely has heard some stuff about it, considering how old she is).

Anyway, let me hear your opinions, please.

#1920492 A Possible 2018 Release Window For Kingdom Hearts III?

Posted by SRKTVAMDGRLXN on 22 January 2017 - 09:34 PM

2018 in general

Seriously, dude, if KH3 doesn't come out in 2018, people will literally try to burn Square Enix to the ground. I mean: what have they been doing all this time?

I would love that to be the date but in the back of my mind i know it'll be later than that.

Later than what? 2018 or MARCH 2018?

Yeah, c'mon: Fighting Heartless underwater was one of the things I loved the most about the first game. Right, sensei?

#1920481 A Possible 2018 Release Window For Kingdom Hearts III?

Posted by SRKTVAMDGRLXN on 22 January 2017 - 09:24 PM

Hey there everyone, how's it going!?  So then, as we all know, Nomura was interviewed a little while back, and when asked upon Kingdom Hearts III's development, his answer made it sound like the game might not release this year.  With that said, now all of us are speculating the game's release to be 2018, at the earliest, and 2019 at the latest.  I'd like to think that 2018 would be the year for Kingdom Hearts III, and I think there's actually a nice way that Nomura could reveal, at the very least, the release window!

Let's think toward E3. Now, since this is the 15th Anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts series, I'm expecting this year will be like 2015 in terms of the overflow of Kingdom Hearts III news we'll most likely receive. Now then, we could get a trailer at E3 that shows all kinds of amazing story and gameplay aspects, and then, at the very end, we get a "Coming 2018" release window!  Now, if I'm talking about a specific date, I think that March of 2018 would be nice!  That way, from E3 to March of 2018, we'd have to wait 9 months for the game to release, and that would no doubt make our minds blow up with hype and excitement!  Of course, the release date could be just as easily revealed at Tokyo Game Show, Jump Festa or D23, since I recall Nomura saying that he might do something for D23!  But yes, March 2018 sounds ideal, but I'm guessing we'll probably get a "Coming 2018" release window instead, and I'd be okay with that, cuz I'd know the game would come out next year, ya know?

What are your thoughts on this, everyone? :3

First of all: now you really believe it won't come out in 2017 anymore, right? (Just kidding)

Second: If, and I will say it again, IF it comes out this year, it will probably be in the last weeks of December.

Third: Honestly, guys, I'm one of those persons who seriously doubted KH3 would be released this year due to various reasons (if you want to know what these reasons are, just ask me). But, Key-san and everybody else, remember one thing: WE'RE STILL IN JANUARY. MANY THINGS COULD HAPPEN UNTIL DECEMBER ARRIVES, AND WHO KNOWS, MAYBE KH3 MIGHT (again, MIGHT) be released in the very ending of this year. So, you can keep your hopes up, everybody, but please, NOT TOO UP, OK?

And finally: If KH3 is not released this year: WHAT A WAY TO CELEBRATE THE SERIES'S 15TH BIRTHDAY, huh?

Hmm, not really, actually. I'm open to any world returning! Heck, I'd be fine with Atlantica returning, too! (I didn't mind the whole musical thing Atlantica had in KHII! If you ask me, that version of Atlantica actually embraced the whole musical aspect of Disney films, ya know?)

You liked it more than KH1 Atlantica?

Well, Disney worlds that I think might return are:

  • Port Royal! (Only this time, it would be called something along the lines of The Caribbean Sea, since from Dead Man's Chest onwards, there are much more locales aside from Port Royal, so it wouldn't make sense calling it Port Royal again.  With all the new areas, it could be considered a new world!)
  • The Hundred Acre Wood! (The Book Of Pooh has always been in the numbered entries of the series, so I think it only fitting that it returns for III!)
  • The Pride Lands! (Because I'd love to see the story of Simba's Pride play out, since the whole thematic of Kovu and his darkness fits in with the Kingdom Hearts Universe pretty well!)
  • Halloweentown! (As with Port Royal, there's the other holiday doors aside from Christmastown, so we could visit the other holiday towns, and those areas could count for a new world! Plus, I wanna see Jack and the gang again in glorious Kingdom Shader form! :3)
  • Agrabah! (Since we already know that Mt. Olympus will mark yet another KH game to feature a world based on Disney's Hercules, then it's safe to assume Agrabah will follow suit, too! Like Olympus, Agrabah's a staple of the Xehanort Saga at this point! X3)

I see. Key-san, is there any Disney world(s) you don't want to return?

#1920336 Which should I get? PS4 or PS4 Slim?

Posted by SRKTVAMDGRLXN on 22 January 2017 - 03:24 PM

It's the same as the difference between the PS4 and the PS4 pro.

Again, thank you so much, good sir.

#1920330 Which should I get? PS4 or PS4 Slim?

There is no difference between the PS4 and the PS4 slim in terms of hardware. They are both the same machine, the Slim is just a smaller version physically, since the OG PS4 is quite big.

The PS4 Pro supports 4K gaming, which is best if you have a 4K TV. If you don't have a 4K TV there is no point in buying one. Certain games can also run at higher frame rates, 0.2 on the Pro is at 60fps. 4K gaming is 4000 pixels, it's the highest resolution you can get at the moment hence your picture quality will be very very crisp.

The PS4 and the PS4 Slim do not support 4K gaming.

All right, thank you so much, good sir. Also, do you know the difference between the regular XBox One and XBox One S?

The hardware? You know the specs are exactly the same right?

What's the difference between PS4, PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro, please?

Olympus Colisseum, 100 Acre Wood or Tron.

OK, but, what about Agrabah? They still need to finish Aladdin's trilogy.

Don't worry I haven't seen any spoiilers from 0.2. At the end of KH2 yeah.
Beauty & The Beast for example. Atlantica is probably done aswell.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing Atlantica again (as long as it becomes a "playable" world again, just like KH1 and Re: CoM).

Hmm, I don't remember! I know that the interview was from 2015, but the one who always has instant links to these interviews is Flaming Lea, so if anything, you should ask her! X3

Well, that's true, but remember, he said mostly, as in, there may be at least a few worlds, possibly up to three or four, that are returning worlds! And I'm pretty sure that original worlds such as Radiant Garden, Castle Oblivion and other notable ones should return, ya know?

What about you, Key-san? Which Disney worlds might return, in your opinion?

#1919503 Name "your world" (give it a name) here.

Posted by SRKTVAMDGRLXN on 19 January 2017 - 09:05 PM

Yes, he did say that.  Now, Mount Olympus technically counts as new, since we've never seen that area of Olympus in the KH games before, so it could be that we revisit some previous worlds, but in entirely different areas that were never accessed in the other games, ya know? That way, it retains its "new" status, ya know?

OK, but which one?

#1919501 Square Enix will stream Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix's Secret...

Posted by SRKTVAMDGRLXN on 19 January 2017 - 09:03 PM

Thanks for this news, Leamax, it's definitely interesting!

Hmm, so Square's gonna stream the Secret Episode for BBS, huh?  This is actually pretty cool, but at the same time, I can't help but wonder if this has some other purpose in mind!  Like, maybe they'll say something about Kingdom Hearts III near the end of their stream?  Hmm, maybe I'm just imagining things...

Man, if they do that, I swear I'll...

Yep, like Radiant Garden indeed! So it's not out of the realm of possibility that Pirates coming back would come with a name change for its world, ya know?

And thanks! I appreciate the compliment! ^^

You're welcome. Speaking of which, what did Nomura-san say exactly? That (aside from Mount Olympus, of course) ALL the Disney worlds would be new or that ALMOST ALL the Disney worlds would be new?
