Hello there 
Allow me to introduce myself. I am a humble islander - residing in Britain for most of the year and an even smaller isle for the rest - who goes by the name of Jack. I am currently a student of musical composition and analysis, as well as an avid follower of many things geeky, amongst which falls the series that brings us all here. Having used this site as one of my main sources for news about our beloved franchise for some time, I've finally seen fit to create an account and become part of the community. In my time here, I hope I can make some positive contributions, however small.

Anyone else think that the "meteor" in the DDD footage looks a lot like the Giant Peach?

You mean from the beginning of the first game? I thought that was just a Gummi Block?
All I know is, having re-watched the film in question recently, the supposed meteor and the Peach look fairly similar in terms of colour and texture.
