Okaay... Soo today i went to the mall with my family and while my sister were looking for clothes (as usual) i decided to take a look at the videogame store. While looking around i found out about a contest where the winner gets a 3DS! So you had to draw a castle... SO i drew one.

I think its a bit crappy

I think I have a chronic doodling problem, so I might as well share the results of it. Only one piece for now!
Terra and incarnations of him and Xehanort. I didn't feel like drawing Master Xehanort. Also, there was another drawing on the other side of paper that the scanner barely picked up on.

I think you need to take a step back, take a deep breath, and take a look at your attitude.

You're not the only one that lost. Lots of people entered this contest, and lots of people didn't win. Do you see them being a sore loser and throwing a pity party because of it? No.

The thing is about contests, is that you have to be good at what the contest is about. Daniel wouldn't just choose someone because they said they put a lot of effort into their entry even though there are better entries put into the contest. Because that's not fair to the others. Everyone puts effort in their entries. It takes a lot of work to get at the level that the winner (and runner-ups) are at. You just don't wake up one morning and decide to poop out art. You practice each day. You try to find your own drawing style.

And the thing is, there is always going to be someone that's better than you. So instead of reacting negatively, congratulate them. Congratulate them for winning, congratulate them for the effort they put into their work, and congratulate them for the effort they put in to get to that level of skill. If you want to get better, you could even ask them for advice on how to get better.

But even though you didn't win, that doesn't mean you should just throw a tantrum and try to delete your account (which you can't do, only Daniel can which I don't think he will --he never does).

Don't see this as a loss, but as an opportunity. Set your goals to try and be as good as the others. Instead of giving it 100% try giving 110%. Just that little extra effort will go a long way in the long run. But don't copy their artwork or style. Try to grow as your own artist. Draw what you want and how you want. Also, if you want to get better, draw for fun and not competition. As long as you like what you create, then nothing else matters. Then maybe as you improve you'll enter a contest and win. If you do, then accept it with humbleness. Because seriously with the attitude you've got going on right now is only wrecking yourself.

id rather not all 3 entries were godlike.... course id rather i won. i think it should be fair not "oh well you cant draw as well as this guy so screw the fact that you tried you will never amount to anything you are worthless and you dont deserve to win ever"

I'd rather I won too, but they thought the other guy was better then me, so, no big deal, it just makes me want to improve even more. And I guess that's what you should be thinking too OO you should see them and think something like: "wow, they are good, I want to improve my art so I can compete with them in the next contest or something"

You shouldn't put yourself down like that, no one said that you can't win, it's just that there are people out there that are better than you, and me and all the other guys... Doesn't mean you can't be better then them with some practice.

I'm on a course where I make Signs, hopefully I'll be as good as the pros by christmas!

Heres a little bit of my work so far, I'm still getting the hang of the curved letters cause I need to draw them out large and free hand first!

I'm getting sick of this Afro Circus thing. Even the commercials for Madagascar 3 just seem obnoxious.

Wow, just watching the 1st minute only pissed me off. If that was my grandmother(not that she had to be), I'd be prepared to go to jail for what I would do to them.

A few more Deadpool panels I drew months ago and even a few pictures from 3 years ago!. Oh and hopefully the pictures should be easier to see this time, if not I tried my best!
