Roleplay (CANCELED) Kingdom Hearts: Fade Into Light

Recommended Posts

Rei answered Saki by executing a perfect dropkick at his face, whicheck would throw him out of the room.

"NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!"

[Aboard the Dawn]

Rei's passionate response to Saki was just disruptive enough to stir Luna back from the realm of dreamland. Oddly enough for her though, she didn't feel tired at all; as if the overwhelming feeling of needing a nap was more of a formality rather than a requirement for her recovery. That's weird. Was this what my instructor called 'battle fatigue?' Maybe he was right after all... Just a minute or two and it's all gone. Deciding that it would be best to know more about the students that she will be fighting alongside with, the timid healer quickly rolled off the bed and finally started making her way out. Before she reached the door however, it suddenly hit her that the room that she was in was exactly like her room back at the base where she was training at before transferring to the academy.

The novelty of her surroundings caused Luna to panic. "W-w-was it all a dream?!" she cried out as she quickly changed direction, diving into the nearby closet first in an odd attempt to verify if all this was real. Sure enough, her standard issued clothes along with her personal outfits were there, along with her very personal bra collection in the usual pile in one of the drawers. Her left eye twitched; she was certain that everything that had happened at the academy was real, and in a last ditch attempt to confirm that where she was in was just a replica, accessed a super secretive place that only she knew among one of the drawers. Rummaging around in it, she breathed a huge sigh of relief; a certain item in question was in fact missing, confirming her hunch that this room she was in was a replica. What the object in question was is something that Luna doesn't want any of the players to know, so we will just have to leave it at that...

Relieved that everything that had happened to her wasn't some dream, Luna finally made her way out of the room, still wrapped snugly in her newfound blanket. The doors opened, and she was greeted with the sight of the interior of Zion's ship. "Thank goodness..." she whispered to herself, and quickly shuffled into the gym where the other students were gathered. Some were inside, fighting virtual heartless enemies, while others just watched. She wasn't sure how to break the ice with the other students now that she had arrived, and quickly found the whole ordeal awkward. Her efforts weren't for naught however, as she managed to watch Harmony and Gaku fight, noting their individual styles.

"Um... if you say so," Indy said while giving a nervous laugh. Given that Rei seemed angry, he knew better than to do anything to upset her any more. Instead, he sat down on the bed. "Do you think... we'll run into any of those Seekers again soon?" he asked to change the subject.

Meanwhile, Riku responded to Zion. "We don't have any solid evidence of any places they could be, but as a starting point, we figured that a world that's been almost deserted for a long time now might be a good place for these people to stay at... We'd like you to go investigate Traverse Town first. Just look around the town to see if you can find any clues. In the meantime, we'll look to see if we can find any reports of people that match these Seekers. Good luck." The transmission ended, leaving Riku's orders simple and short.

Rei flopped down beside her boyfriend.

"Well...I think we probably will, honestly." She suddenly grabbed Indy's hands. "We'll find her. I promise."

Zion nodded. "Setting course now. I'll let you know if we find anything."

Indy sighed. I was hoping she wouldn't figure out why I asked that... He paused for a moment, trying to hide his face. "R-right... Thanks," he said in a quiet tone and gripped her hand back.

The ship sped off towards Traverse Town, and reached it within a considerably short amount of time. As it approached the town, a glimpse of the First District could be seen: the once-bustling world now seemed to be practically empty. There was no one to be seen in the First District: the outdoor cafe was entirely deserted but still in place, and the signs were no longer bright. The ship pulled into a large, empty stretch of land on the other side of the large door leading into the First District and landed. With the ship now stopped, the students would be ready to disembark and enter the city...

Finishing off the slightly overpowered Behemoth as the boss of the Thousand Heartless Battle, Gaku and Harmony went inside the booth to check the settings. "The settings has been modified to include a Behemoth Heartless at the end of the fight. It seems like whoever went inside the booth changed the settings while I was knocked into the battlefield." Harmony said. Gaku did a quick scan inside the gym to find Max, Joel, Kyle and Alvis training in the gym section. "It's likely those guys over there" Gaku pointed towards the gym. He began to chuckle a bit. "Harmony. I got an idea. . ."

The two walked outside of the hallway and went past the three that were preoccupied with their training. Near the entrance of the gym, the two turned around. "Very funny you morons. Go chill out. Harmony?" Gaku gestured. "Yeah. . . Freeze!" Harmony said as she sent blizzard towards the trainees except Kyle entrapping their bodies except their heads in a block of ice. "It'll thaw out in ten minutes. We should be landing by then" Harmony said. The two left the gym leaving Joel, Alvis and Max by themselves incased by a block of ice.

Ten minutes has passed when the ship landed in Traverse Town. Gaku and Harmony left the ship and walked into the First District. "This place seems. . . melancholy." Harmony said while looking at the emptiness of the district. "it's due to Traverse Town being used as the station for people who lost their worlds. Because of Sora and his group, the world's are stabilized once again, and the people who inhibited this place left to their original worlds." Gaku lectured Harmony and others who are nearby. Gaku walked to the middle of the courtyard. "Emptiness and. . ." Gaku's words trailed off remembered his memories of his father, Neku. When Shibuya fell, he ended up here in the Dream Realm with his group. He met Sora around here in this district. He wouldn't have became a Keyblade Master if it weren't for Sora. . . He wouldn't have died if it weren't for him meeting Sora. Gaku thought.

"Did the ship stop?"

"I think so."

"Well, let's go check it out!"

"Saki, wait! Sheesh, I need a leash for you..."

As Saki and Paki got off the ship, a sight of nostalgia struck them both. The view of their home world brought numerous memories back all at once. "W-We're in...Traverse Town." Paki said. "Traverse Town...Our home." Saki added with the feeling of disbelief. His eyes were beginning to be filled with teary water. "We're back home..." He sniffled a bit and wiped his tears away. After being gone for so long, the twins forgot what it was like to be at home. The First world they visited...

Was Home Sweet Home.

Saki gasped with sudden realization. "Wait...Paki. You know what this means?" The Red-head began to make the brightest smile he could possibly make. "We'll get to see Nana again...We'll see Nana one more time!" He exclaimed with joy and glee. "To see Nana again...Heh." The pink-haired made a simple smirk. "Seeing that woman after 3 years. I wouldn't mind."

Tsubaki hummed quietly to herself, she had been wandering around the ship aimlessly, after she had checked out her room. Now that it felt like the ship had landed she made her way out, following behind Paki, and Saki, and letting out a low whistle as she looked out at the town.

"This is another world huh?" Tsubaki asked, mostly to herself, making her way up to Gaku, and Harmony, she smirked a bit. "This town reminds me of my love life, am I right?" She asked, mostly to Harmony, she seemed most receptive to jokes. "Get it? Cause it's empty... Yeah, not sad at all." She said, smiling a bit, and stretching. "So why are we here exactly?" She asked, this time towards Gaku, since he seemed to actually pay attention to important things.

[Traverse Town]

Luna's acute sense of hearing allowed her to notice that the ship's engine were slowly idling until she was pretty sure they were just on standby. "I think we've landed." she announced to the group, and the disembarking students confirmed her suspicions. She followed them, and soon found herself in the First District of Traverse Town.

What immediately struck her as odd was the emptiness of the place. There were no people to be seen, and that alone made Luna on edge.

"Wait...Paki. You know what this means? We'll get to see Nana again...We'll see Nana one more time! To see Nana again...Heh."

"Seeing that woman after 3 years. I wouldn't mind."

"Something's not right here..." Luna quietly remarked to anyone who cared to listen to her. "Where is everybody?" Emphasizing her point, the unmistakable sound of her keyblade being summoned echoed the district as she gripped the weapon firmly. Spotting the cafe, she promptly made her way over to start an investigation, looking for signs of recent activity and trying to figure out why it the district was so... empty.

After a while, Indy stepped out of the ship into Traverse Town. Walking into the streets of a world he'd only heard and read about before gave him a strange feeling; he'd spent his whole life in Radiant Garden, but now, he was in an entirely different world. One that seemed nothing like the small yet active town he'd been told about in his studies. As he strolled about, he heard Luna's question. "I guess that this world hasn't seen much use ever since Master Sora and the others stopped Xehanort... it's supposed to be a home for the people that lost their worlds, but as far as we know, all of those have been restored. Guess that means that there's no one to stick around and watch over the place." He also heard a little bit of the conversation held by Saki and Paki. "Except for the woman they're talking about, I guess," he added.

The tables and chairs in the cafe were all left untouched from the way they were when the town was occupied. However, a thin sheet of dust occupied them and everything else in the cafe. Indy walked over to one of the tables and leaned against a chair. "This place is like a ghost town now... Hopefully without the ghosts, that is," he said aloud, though it wasn't necessarily aimed at the other students. I wonder what it would've been like to be here back when it was more lively..."

As the students continued to look in the cafe for clues, Nobodies suddenly appeared, trapping the students within the dining area. Clusters of Dragoons, Berserkers, Assassins, and Samurai all prepared to attack the group of Keyblade wielders...

"Where did they come from?!" Indy asked, summoning his Keyblade. He barely rolled out of the way of a Dragoons attack and shot a Fire spell at its back, then ran over to it and slashed at the creature a few times, destroying it. "Be careful, everyone!"

Gaku and Harmony's guards immediately went up when the Nobodies begin to spawn in the area. "Look out!" Harmony yelled as she slashed one of the Dragoons down. "Maybe they want to be tour guides? Thanks, but I'll have to turn down the offer." Gaku joked as he performed a reversal behind the dusk and slashed it down. He immediately went up against two of the Berserkers combo attacking the two, then bounced off of its weapon and delivered to Dark Fire spells obliterating the Berserkers. Harmony entered a standoff against the Samurai and drew her keyblade a la Zantetsuken motion immediately obliterating the Samurai as she chained her combo against the Assassin finishing it off with a Blizzard. "Whew! Not bad!" Harmony said.

Alvis managed to melt himself out of the ice that encased him with Fire. He then melted the others out. "I guess I should've seen that coming when I started hanging out with you guys."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Joel asked.

"Nothing, really. Anyway, looks like we're gonna land soon. Let's end this sparring session for now." Part of the reason Alvis said this was because he didn't want Max to try to suplex him again.

Once they were on terra firma, Joel looked around and pointed out the mailbox.

"I've heard that there's this huge area where all the mail goes."

"I thought it was just a normal mailbox and that underground mail place was an alteration caused by the world being asleep," Alvis said.

"Well, it wouldn't hurt to check it out anyway," Joel countered.

"... Fair enough."

Before Joel could examine the mailbox well enough, swarms of Nobodies appeared.

"Looks like it's fighting time!" Joel shouted. He cast a few rapid-fire Gravity spells at some Dragoons, causing them to fall to the ground, which made them easy pickings for Joel's Keyblade.

"Hmm... It would probably be easier if we could round them all up!" he shouted to Max, thinking that they should do a combination move.

Alvis Stopped a Berserker that was charging toward him. Within the time that the Nobody was frozen, Alvis dealt several punches to it. Once it was unfrozen, the force of Alvis's attacks sent it flying backwards into some Samurai. It had also lost its grip on its claymore, leaving it next to Alvis.

Alvis grabbed the hilt of the claymore and dragged it behind him as he closed the distance between him and the Berserker, slowly becoming enveloped in an aura.

"Magna Storm!"

With a burst of strength, Alvis wildly swung the claymore around, killing the Samurais in the vicinity. He then finished his assault by hurling the claymore at the Berserker, impaling and killing it.

(Too lazy to think of sparring flashback.)

(Also aura was because of the Berserk/Magna Storm RC.)

Tsubaki groaned in annoyance, as she summoned her Keyblade, she dodge rolled towards a Samurai, who prepared to attack her. Tsubaki smirked, and swung her Keyblade at him, matching his own attack, and sending the two into a standoff, Tsubaki reacted first, and rushed forwards, with a Zantetsuken, she smirked and behind her the Samurai's top half fell away from his bottom, before both halves faded into complete nothingness.

"Hey guys I did that thing where I slice it in half with my Keyblade, and it doesn't react until I- Oh crap!" Tsubaki yelled as a Dragoon aimed an attack at her head, making the blonde lean back to avoid getting hit. "Let me finish!" Tsubaki yelled at the Dragoon, before she hit it with her Keyblade a few times, until it vanished, Tsubaki then let out a sigh. "Well, that moments over..." Tsubaki muttered bitterly, before she looked around, at the others fighting.

"Indy! Gaku! Harmony!" Tsubaki yelled as she cast Aero on the three of them, before casting it on herself, and running out of magic entirely. She let out a sigh, and went to take out more nobodies.

Rei threw herself forward, slashing down a few Samurais before landing. She had flown a bit, and now in the middle, began to hack and slash through the Nobodies around her, spinning around a Dragoon before punching it in the back, unleashing Ruin. Thrown forward, she continued her attack, keeping an eye on Indy as she fought. She wondered where her mother was...wasn't like her to be away for long.

Probably asleep or something ridiculous.

[Traverse Town]

Luna nodded quietly at Indy's response to her question. It made a lot of sense, allowing her to relax a little as she continued her investigation. The layer of dust on the furniture gave her all the evidence she needed to confirm Indy's remark; if there was any recent activity, it would have been obvious. She was careful not to disturb the place, only leaning in to get a closer inspection of things when needed rather than moving anything around. After careful inspection of the area, she was just about to announce 'all clear' when the sounds of spawning nobodies caught her immediate attention.

So much for no activity... she thought to herself as she turned to face the new threats. She was quick to assess the area and the situation; there were plenty of tables and chairs around the place that could be turned over to make some cover or thrown as a weapon. But, she noticed, it could pose a fire risk to everyone in the area and the building itself. They were smart to attack us here. This may be outdoors, but it looks like fire magic can't be used here without having it hurt us as well. Just as she completed her line of thought, Indy's fire spell screamed past her, undoing her entire line of thought. Wanting to take the battle to the wide open area in the middle of First District, she made a point to use the environment to her advantage as a barstool flew towards a nearby berserker, followed by her own keyblade as she attacked it with a strike raid.

Paki groaned in utter annoyance, then summoned her keyblade and charged into the field, holding off some samurais and dragoons. After slicing through and Samurai, she scoffed. "If you guys are smarter than Heartless, then you should know when to actually quit and get out of our way." She said bluntly. A Dragoon was charging downwards aiming to strike the girl with its spear. "....Stop." The Dragoon then froze in mid-air. "I'm gettin' tired of this..." Paki closed her eyes, de-summoning her keyblade.

Once opened, her eyes were now pink and her hands turned into sharp claws. She raised one hand and slashed diagonally. She then put her hands in her pockets and walked away. She took a deep breath, and the Dragoon was no more. Paki opened her eyes, which were back to normal.

"Saki....What. The Hell. Are you doing?"

That whole time...Saki was just sitting there at the cafe table with his legs crossed on the table and his arms behind his head with his eyes closed like he didn't have a care in the world.

"Relaxing."

"Why?"

"The Roleplayer couldn't think of anything else for me to do." He said.

"...Never thought I'd say it...But the best excuse you've so far in this story."

"Works like a charm. Hehehehehe!"

The efforts of the Keyblade wielders helped in reducing the numbers of Nobodies, leaving an opening to help those who were trapped in the dining area escape into a more open space. Tsubaki's Aero spell helped to keep him protected, but Indy still waited behind an overturned table for a good opening. Once he found a clear path out, he took off. "Come on, everyone! Let's get out into the town, we won't be at as much of a disadvantage there," he called out to his fellow students as he dashed through the opening, slashing at an Assassin that tried to dive into his way, then following up with a point-blank Fire spell. He kept moving as it dissipated, allowing him to get out on time. A Samurai tried to fill in the gap, and Indy focused on taking it out. His Keyblade clashed with its sword, keeping the two at a stalemate for a while. "Come on everyone, hurry up! I've got it held off!" He shouted again.

Ina growled as the last storage chest in the former Moogle Shop in Traverse Town turned out empty too. She slammed the lid shut and kicked the chest, eliciting a small yelp of pain from her. She limped to the latter and climbed down into what once was Cid's Accessory Shop. She had heard rumors that there was still a stock pile of synthesized items, and had come running.

"Well, that was a waste of time." She muttered.

Maybe she could use this as a home later, but that was a future she might not even see. She headed for the door, but stopped suddenly when she heard noises outside. Limping silently to the door, Ina opened it a hair to look outside, where she saw a group of people around her age milling about. Her eyes narrowing, she reached behind her and pulled out her chakram. If these were the idjits that killed Mal, she might be able to kill one before having to run.

As she was planning her attach, Nobodies popped in and attacked the group, who responded with Keyblade. She remembered some Nobodies attacking Mal and her before the a-holes showed their faces. Sooo, these teens weren't enemies? She knew there was some sort of school for Keybladers out there, but she never much cared about it. Now, if these guys were students from there, she might enroll out of gratitude.

After taking stock of positions and angles, Ina noticed one of the wielders in blade lock with a Samurai Nobody, calling for the rest to run.

"There we go." The Keyblade Survivor said with a grin.

Using her unhurt foot, she kicked the door to the accessory shop, rearing back to throw her chakram

"Heads up!" She yelled out, then let her chakram fly.

As the disc sliced through the air, Ina warped out into the square, next to a Dusk. In a swirl of darkness, her Keyblade was out and she sliced through the lessor Nobody. Casually, she raised her right hand and caught her chakram, which had nicked a Dragoon in midair, bounced off a light poll, redirected an attacking Assassin before heading to where she warped to.

"Hello, new buddies!" She yelled to everyone in a friendly tone. "I'm Ina and would like to invite you all to follow Flame boy's advice"

She gestured to Indy, then threw her chakram again to finish off the Dragoon she nicked before.

"and leave these zeroes behind."

Catching movement in the corner of her eye, Ina dived out of the way of a rampaging Berserker. She tried to hit it mid roll with a bolt of Dark Fire, but missed.

"Don't worry about me!" She called out. "I'll follow after ya and then we can get to know each other."

Absently catching her rebounding chakram, she gripped both her weapons tighter as she charged the Berserker Nobody.

[Traverse Town]

Luna wasted no time in making a beeline to the exit of the place. Battle senses kicked in as seconds turned into minutes in her eyes. She watched as Indy entered a stalemate battle with the nobodies, and a figure out of the corner of her eyes. A chakram flew past her, far enough for her to know that whoever threw it wasn't deliberately targeting any of the students. The sounds of battle, coupled with the frenzied state of the situation, meant that she couldn’t locate the source of the thrown chakram using either sight or sound.

Deciding it would be best to worry about it later, Luna focused her efforts in making a mad dash out towards the open area of First District in hopes of securing the area for the other students once they made it back out.

Long since gone is this land.

But I don't give a flying firetruck.

A girl, short, with light brown hair and crimson eyes walked into the last scene, awkwardly shrugging. She wore a dark red school girl outfit and black boots. She walked. And walked. And yelled at everyone to gather their attention.

A spotlight from the sky descended upon her with little delay.

And in this moment, they realize their time was wasted. As a mighty burp echoed from the otherwise average looking girl. Loud enough to shatter an ear drum, it echoed off of every surface. It smelled like a mixture of cream soda, a bag of cheese flavored chips, and a very greasy pizza.

With that, she walked away, allowing this realm to return to its death once more.

Blame @Shulk for telling me to do this.
