A year has passed since the fall of the Korbenic Empire.  A war had been waged between the empire and its rebels, promoted by surrounding territories free from the empire’s reign.  The late emperor, Korben, sought to create a world filled with law, rule, and justice, but at the cost of so many lives.  Those deemed inferior were slaughtered or experimented upon, and magic by birth was considered a curse rather than a blessing.  Elves and those possessing magic were raided and slaughtered, or brought into the imperial labs for experimentation.  The world had already been faltering, and it only plummeted further at the development of tanzynite: a chemical substance produced by imperial labs that had the power to sustain one’s life, augment their abilities or create them, or, in some cases of prolonged use, kill.  The dawn of the Korbenic Era was one filled with oppression, blood, and poverty; the world cried for this tyrant to reach his demise, a calling to which was answered.

 

Eclaire Tonnerre, ex-general of the Empire, organized and orchestrated the Order of Lux to battle the Korbenic Empire.  She was a brave warrior who fought for true peace and justice, wishing to recreate the government into a republic rather than an empire.  Unfortunately her army was weakened during the war, and traitors lived within her midst that she was not privy to.  Now she resides with a smaller group than before, her kingdom and order being taken over a rebellion follower, Yevgeni Malachite.  While the empire had indeed fallen, a new world power came to take its place.  Oryx, a god of power, seized the Korbenic Empire and sits upon what once was Korben’s throne, his rule hardly any better than that of the late empire.  The war, however, has left the world in ashes, a state worse than it had been before.  Langerdon, a city once flourished, now is trying to recover from the war that devastated them a year ago, though they are not succeeding well.

You may choose a character from either the New Empire or Yevgeni’s rebellion called The Seraphim Order.  There are many races available for you to choose from, though I request that no new divine deities are created to prevent power-creep from occurring.  Your world is a dying one filled with chaos after a devastating war, and, while technology was once at its prime in this futuristic era, very little of it is left in working order after the damage that had been done.

 

1: No Godmodding/Meta-Gaming.  This includes controlling another person’s character under ANY circumstances.

2: All KH13 RPing rules are in effect here.

3: There is no character limit, but I would request that you only take as many characters that you feel you can properly handle.

4: If any rules are broken, you will be given a warning.  Should you break them again, and under the same violation, you will be asked to leave the RP.

5: Feel free to contribute to the story. This is an RP, after all. : )  However, I would ask that you do not dominate the entire plot or massively change the direction in which all players are going without prior approval.  A good example of this would be to make a character use unearthly powers to just terrorize and distract all characters, making their initial goals impossible.  This is destructive behavior, and in doing so I will issue you a warning.  There’s a difference between contributing to a plot and dominating one.

6: Keep everything PG-13, including violence, romance, language, and all that good stuff.  This includes themes as well as explicit content.  If it’s something that you won’t see in a PG-13 movie because it’s considered inappropriate in content or visualization, don’t do it.

7: For non-human races, you can pick practically anything you please.  Be creative!  However, please be mindful of over-powered characters.  I’m no longer accepting any new divine deities, as we already have plenty.

8: You may choose from the tanzynite list provided should your character desire them.  However, you may request custom tanzynites be made via PM and I shall evaluate them.

9: Auto-hitting and mass slaughter are highly restricted here.  Auto-hitting is when your character lands a strike in combat without prior approval from the other player or RP host.  Mass slaughter cannot be done on a whim, only if asked for and we shall evaluate.

10: For those of you who will be continuing with the same characters from Tainted Blood, please copy-paste your character sheet with a revised biography reflecting what happened over the past year, as well as their role in Tainted Blood.  I will be more lenient toward existing characters pertaining weapon limits, magic, et cetera, but any new characters must strictly abide by the rules.

Tanzynite options (instigator):

 

Electro Bolt: "Feel like the Thunder God himself! Electro Bolt will let you fire off bolts of Electricity at will! Warning: Water and Lightning don't mix." With this chemical compound, you can fire Electricity/Lightning from your hands, be it in bursts, a constant stream or a simple jolt. Manifestation: Blue Energy courses through the users veins, along with Electricity coursing around the users body occasionally on its own or at the will of the user.

 

Satan's Touch: "Feel the heat! Satan's Touch will cause you to be able to wreathe whatever you want in Flames! Warning: Fire spreads." This chemical compound will allow you to light anything on fire with Fireballs, Flamethrowing, Fire Breath and allows you to heat anything you touch with your Body Heat. Manifestation: Severe burns on the user's body along with a visible, pulsing and glowing orange heat underneath the body of the user, Irises glow Orange too and Fire seems to be burning inside, ready to be unleashed.

 

Sting of Winter: "Feel the chill in your bones! Sting of Winter gives you Icy Powers to freeze your enemies! Multi-Purpose Capabilities Guaranteed." This chemical compound grants the ability to freeze your enemies, water and other objects. It can also be shaped into Armour and Icy Spikes can be extended from your hands to make yourself a Cryo-Weapon. Manifestation: Permafrost covers body, with the hands having Ice Burns along with small Icicles/Spikes protruding from the skin (Yes, they have blood in them) which can be extended. An Icy Mist emanates from the user and when Armoured and/or using the Icicles as weapons, more ice and burns cover the user.

 

Flash Flood: "Go with the flow! Flash Flood can wash away your enemies! Warning: Water's stronger than you may think." This chemical compound allows you to assail your enemies with Waves of Water to push them away, High-Pressure Jets to wear away at them, mildly telekinetically suspended in the air Bubbles filled with water that can either explode to shower opposition or encase opponents in it to drown them, wear down their limbs or be exploded out of them to weaken and surprise them. Manifestation: Water courses and drips down the users hands but it can be contained around the hands and manipulated for effect, mutations similar to suction cups and barnacles on an Octopus form on the hands and condensation emits from their body.

 

Cyclonic Rush: "Stand firm against the breeze! Cyclonic Rush will blow your enemies away! Warning: Wind does more than push." This chemical compound will let you blow away enemies with Gusts of Wind. It can also allow formation of Mini-Cyclones or Tornadoes to cause major damage. You can also breathe strong air currents from your mouth that can be sustained as long as you can exhale and all wind effects can cause Wind Erosion on a quickened scale, which is particularly painful to enemies. Manifestation: Wind currents circulate around users arms and hands while veins pulse with White Energy, clothing and hair is in a constant Windswept effect due to internal winds blowing.

 

Telekinesis: "Steel your mind! Telekinesis is as blunt as it gets, allowing you to pick up and throw objects with your mind!" This chemical compound allows you to use the Psychic Energy/Potential in your mind to use Psychokinesis/Telekinesis to levitate and throw objects at whim. However, it can also be used to assault the minds of Weak-Willed people, incapacitating them. You can also read minds, but to a limited extent. Manifestation: The force used is visible, but no other discernible effect is present externally on the user. Internally, brainwaves and MRI Readings are radically different from a normal brain.

 

Blinding Light: "Shine amongst the stars! Blinding Light gives you control over the Light to blind your enemies! Warning: It can also burn." This chemical compound allows you to control the Light Element of the Universe to blind, scorch or otherwise impede your enemies with what basically amounts to Pure Energy. Burning Beams can be fired straight from the hands when the power is charged up. Manifestation: Pure Energy courses through the users veins, pulsating at all times. The users hands are crackling with power while the scorching effects of the Light leave blackened burns on the some parts of the skin and visible cracks and tears in the arms produce light as the body attempts to contain it all within.

 

Smothering Darkness: "Cast your enemies into the Shadows! Smothering Darkness lets you control the Darkness and Shadows to assault your enemies! Warning: Power corrupts." This chemical compound allows you to control the Darkness Element of the Universe to smother, corrupt, hurt or otherwise make your opponent suffer with the Shadows themselves or the literal Darkness that resides in everything, including yourself. Shadow Orbs can be created and thrown to explode on impact when the power is charged up. Manifestation: Dark Purple Energy courses through the users veins, softly and slowly pulsating at all times. The users hands are swathed in Dark Mist while the corrupting effects darken the skin on the hands and arms and the skin is flaking off while Dark Tendrils are latching to the skin like parasites. Visible cracks and tears in the arms produce Darkness as the body attempts to contain it all within.

 

Pack-A-Punch: "Feel the power coursing through your muscles! Pack-A-Punch allows you to push boulders and punch walls! Warning: Don't strain yourself." This chemical compound increases your strength greatly, increasing Muscle Mass to 4x their normal mass, allowing for harder punches and kicks along with the ability to lift up heavy objects and even throw them. Manifestation: Bigger, evenly distributed muscles throughout the body, all veins are more pronounced and occasionally a green, glowing fluid flows through them.

 

Rocky Road: "Make the Earth tremble at your step! Rocky Road allows you to shake up the place and throw rocks! Warning: Rocks are hard." This chemical compound allows you to control the Earth Elements to shake the ground with Earthquakes, raise Rock Pillars, throw Rocks, split the ground open and toughen yourself up with Earthy Armour. Manifestation: Hands and forearms are entirely covered in a thick rock cover but still have full mobility, small stones form on the upper arm and the users voice becomes Earthy.

 

 

Tanzynite tonics:

 

Scamper Speed: This Tonic allows the user to run 2x faster than the average person, also allowing them to run for longer, but the user would be at risk of overheating like a Cheetah if they run for too long. Has no manifestation.

 

Chameleon: This Tonic allows the user to become invisible to the naked eye when they stand still for a period of time. It activates after 5 seconds of standing still. It cannot be used when moving. Manifestation is quite evident.

 

Tough Guy/Girl: This Tonic toughens the user up, allowing them to soak up a more damage than a normal person before weakening, dying etc. Has no manifestation.

 

Marksman: This Tonic increases the users Hand-Eye Co-ordination, allowing them to aim firearms better and more effectively. Has no manifestation.

 

Brains and Brains: This Tonic increases the users intelligence and their ability to tinker with things. Has no manifestation.

 

Houdini: This Tonic allows the user to teleport at will. Manifestation: Only appears when teleporting, all veins and irises turn red before the user disappears in a flurry of Rose Petals and Red Mist.

 

Enduring Bolt: This Tonic boosts the stamina of the user, allowing them to run longer, fight longer and exercise longer. Has no manifestation.

 

Night Piercer: This Tonic allows the user to see in the Dark of Night more effectively, works as organic Night Vision Goggles. Manifestation: Eyes glow Night Vision Green when active.

 

Animal Instinct: This Tonic allows the user to sense nearby organics, regardless of species unless they are Demons or Angels. Has no manifestation.

 

Gymnastic Expert: This Tonic grants the user enhanced flexibility and mobility, allowing them to move more fluidly, flip and slink into tight spaces. Has no manifestation.

 

Experimental Tanzynite (not for everyone--only one each available, and must receive prior approval before use):

 

 

Experimental Strength Compound - Codename "Venom": This Instigator-Class Chemical was in development by order of the Emperor himself as he wanted Super-Human enforcers with the strength to topple any opposition. It derives partially from the Pack-A-Punch Chemical in concept but strength would be increased to a far greater level than that chemical can offer and makes the subject far more bulky, but requires a Injector System/Harness mounted to the subject to keep the chemical flowing and in effect. It is also far more addictive than average compounds, with the withdrawal symptoms often being so severe that they result in death. Initial tests on human subjects often resulted in death, be it from Cardiac Arrest or their Hearts flat out exploding from the pressure and rush of bodily chemicals and the chemical itself. It was only after one Subject survived and subsequently broke out that they had enough results to make a stable compound. However, the escapee stole all research notes and all samples of the fluid, learned how to produce more and perfect it and has since sold it in the Black Market in the Criminal Underworld. Manifestation: Users are often Seven-Feet Tall, with large muscles, facial scarring, heavily pronounced veins and green glowing fluid frequently flowing through them. Behaviour is often far more aggressive but intelligence is not dampened.

 

Experimental Strength Compound - Codename "TN-1" (Taken by Scrap's planned character backstory.) : This Instigator-Class Chemical is currently in the testing phases under the eye of the man who escaped Venom Testing with the compound and is currently trying to improve it and remove its addictive qualities while at the same time creating a "Super-Venom". initial tests made have shown promise, a more permanent transformation of grotesque proportions, with subjects growing to 10 Feet in height, their muscles expanding massively and their strength great enough to blast through a platoon of enemies while shrugging off bullets. As it is in testing phases, there are problems. While the subject is bulletproof and insanely strong, they are not invincible as the full effect takes 10 minutes or more to take effect and usage damages the Memory Centres of the Brain, causing Memory Loss and Brain Damage. Intelligence is dampened as the user roars and is reduced to Hulk Speak and is very single minded, but usually makes up for it in brute strength and it does not require the Harness from Venom. Manifestation: Gargantuan Muscle Growth, greatly pronounced veins with the same green glowing fluid flowing, covered in a green and black mist, eyes glow white-green and temperament is greatly compromised.

 

Experimental DNA Bonding Compound - Demonic DNA - Codename: "Devil's Blood" (Taken by Mystics Apprentice.): In an attempt to harness the great power Elder Demons, or "Devils" as they are nicknamed, the Emperor captured an Elder Demon and took a sample of its DNA to his scientists to bond it to subjects in order to give his Guards more power, maybe even himself if successful. The bonding process was initially a disaster, Subjects being literally torn apart as the Devil Cells destroyed their Cells, making it impossible to create a Viable Life Form. However, in a last gambit, they attempted to create another cell to stabilize the Devil Cell into co-operating with the Subject's Cells and merging with them, called "GENOCELL". This artificial cell was mixed into the compound and injected into their last subjects, creating what they wanted, giving the Subjects the Powers, physiology and ability of the Elder Demons, slightly filtered down due to the Artificial Hybrid nature. Unfortunately, only one was left and they escaped due to an oversight that the Survivor has since corrected: GENOCELL was hastily made and thus was not perfected and eventually deteriorated, leaving many of them to be torn apart like the rest, while the survivor was able to fix the Artificial Cell and survive in the Criminal Underworld as a Super-Villain alongside many others, including the Venom Survivor. Manifestation: Demonic Wings, Talons, Demonic Energy crackles unstably and their power is but a shadow of a True Elder Demon. Their skin is scaly, red and their eyes completely yellow and glowing, small horns protrude from their head.

As for Ariana, I just don't know what to do with her that would fit her original role.  I love her character and wouldn't mind continuing her, but I just don't think she would've been taken prisoner alive, or that she would've remained in chains for long.  I also know that I need to focus on an imperial since we have a shortage there, which also was inspiring me to kill her off.  If you have any good ideas for her let me know, as I'm not opposed to keeping her alive just don't know what to do with her.  It seems like it would've been more meaningful if she'd died alongside Korben with the old empire, but I'm not sure.

 

Hmm, that's a good question, as I cannot think of her having any good start-up role, but then again a lot of us don't, so she could have a lot of chances to insert herself into a sweet position.  Maybe she is in isolation, purifying herself of tanzynite fatigue slowly but surely or something of the sort.  She seems to be undergoing immense strain on her body from that ingrained dark tanzynite, so the lack of using it would only solve part of the problem, but it's one step closer to the path of redemption and another step closer to cleansing.

Darn, I wondered if that was in error, as I was going to be a bit surprised that Zion was helping Yevgeni's cause unless she didn't know Eclaire was still alive.  That's one less for the Seraphim order.

Zion is pretty omniscient when it comes to Eclaire.

 

And as for her...she's done horrible things, things so evil that she is ready to die to make things right...yet still has small, tortured Chrysalis calling her mommy, hugging her, and in all, loving her unconditionally. I'd say that Ariana could go on a sort of redemption path, trying to make herself worthy of the unending and without judgement love that Chrysalis continues to shower down upon her.

 

 

 

 

And really, if you think about it - this character imbalance isn't in the grand scheme of things. The Seraphim Order and the New Empire are VAST, with massive armies and thousands of soldiers. For Messiah, it is literally a hundred or so. The imbalance is balanced out because the Order and Empire have a few well known officers and thousands of foot soldiers, while Messiah has a dozen or more extremely powerful and well versed fighers backed by a hundred foot soldiers. It actually shows the vastness of each faction.

 

Look at, for instance, Gundam Wing. You have the 5 Gundam Pilots against Zechs Marquise, Lucrezia Noin, and Treize Kushenada. It is balanced out because Zechs, Noin, and Treize all have hundreds of soldiers.

 

Character wise, yes it's not balanced. But the massive armies of NPCs are the great equalizer.

Personality:

Ace: Pretty quiet and calm. Tends to be a loner, but whenever his squadron is in trouble...run.

Edge: A superstitious and daring pilot, Edge cares deeply for Ace, never leaving his wing. If Ace wasn't around, she'd be top pilot.

Bladedancer: The more outspoken, nearly sarcastic and joker of the team, he's a competant pilot who doesn't lose his cool...except when someone insults his mother.

Reaper: The kid of the group, he's still nervous and unsure of himself, but Ace did not just ask anyone to be a part of the Ghosts - he has what it takes. he just has to believe.


Backstory:

The four were not in the same fighter squadron at first. Ace was Number Four of Imperial Squadron 4589, dubbed Malcontent. Edge flew number two on the carrier Eisewolf Air Command Squadron "Ridgeback", while Bladedancer and Reaper came from closer squadrons; Bladedancer attached to the 332 "Meister" Squadron, while Grimm actually was number four on the legendary Bone Arrow Wing, attached directly to the Langerdon Air Defense Network. As the war raged on, these four pilots grew better and better, until a rebel attack wiped out their squads. Cut off and running low on fuel, they managed to escape and return to Langerdon. Bundled into a single Squadron under the name Galm, they were sent out again and again, until they snapped. Refusing to open fire on a civilian town, they were pursued for dereliction of duty, and would have died if not for the timely arrival of Jeremy Hunter. Covering their retreat, the squadron escaped to the Razgriz Straits up north, where they landed and repaired. Meeting with Jeremy, they were about to work out a deal when the Imperial's Nineteenth Assault Flotilla entered the icy north. Launching at once, the four pilots met with the enemy fleet with a vigor that was on par with a nuclear explosion. They had never flown as fast, as daring, as amazing as that day. The Third Flotilla came in with a destroyer, four frigates, and two light carriers. After meeting with the four pilots, three frigates lay sinking, the destroyer had lost half it's engines, and the light carriers were smashed into a glacier after their superstructures caught during evasive maneuvers.

 

This act of God(dess...Zion took full credit for that one) gave them their name. The Flotilla ran away, limping and spewing fire and fuel, and cried a single terrifying thing.

It was them! The Ghosts...the Demons of the Razgriz Straits!

 

Now attached to the Oathkeeper, the Razgriz Air Command Squadron was present for the final push into Langerdon, and personally covered the retreat of the Oathkeeper and Kusanagi. Now hidden at the abandoned Heirerlark Base in a glacier, the Razgriz wait patiently for Messiah to make their move. They are very patient.

Bio/History: Both Allitt and her twin brother Indy were born within the influence of the empire. They grew up in rather poor conditions, and were forced to join the imperial army at young ages in order to make money to support their family. Allitt’s skills were all focused on her speed, and she became obsessed with becoming one of the fastest people in the army. She eventually began using Tanzynite to enhance her speed, and became hooked rather quickly. She used more types of Tanzynite to give herself new powers, and hopefully become an even more powerful warrior. As she got older, she grew stronger, and became feared by many. The Caelum Twins became infamous among the enemies of the empire, in part due to Allitt’s speed and strength. However, she still somehow remained somewhat innocent. She typically enjoyed a good fight before eliminating her opponents, unlike her brother, who preferred to keep encounters quick. She came to be viewed as a bit of a nuisance to some for this reason. She wasn’t a cruel woman fighting to kill all who opposed the empire, but instead someone who simply wanted a good fight. Regardless, she was still just as feared as her brother was.

 

Just before the fall of Emperor Korben, the goddess Zion had convinced her to join the rebellion. She was able to see the pain the empire caused, and decided she didn't want to cause any more. She felt bad leaving her brother behind, but she decided against risking a trip to the capital. Once the rebellion split, she decided to join Messiah.

Personality: Allitt, despite her past as an imperial soldier addicted to Tanzynite for many years, is still rather playful and childish. She tries to make sure that her fights are fair, and enjoys encountering others. She wants to atone for the damage that she caused during her time in the rebellion, and will take on any task that can allow her to help protect innocent lives. She would also be willing to do anything to prove her loyalty to the new rebellion.

He started out being afraid of the idea of killing someone else, and could barely fight. He was eventually forced to use Tanzynite due to his physical weakness, and he was given new powers that would hopefully allow him to fight more efficiently. However, this wasn’t the only change. After his initial usage of Tanzynite, he became more distant. He became cold and uncaring towards others. He was capable of killing others without a second thought. He had changed himself to become a more efficient warrior, though this also robbed him of the more innocent nature he had shared with his sister. Once the two had resumed missions, it was clear that something had changed in Indy. The two eventually came to be known as the infamous Caelum Twins, though Indy was feared more than his sister. He didn’t care about fighting fair. He’d do whatever it took to ensure that his mission was accomplished.

 

The sudden disappearance of his sister had devastating effects on Indy's life. With her being gone for so long, he began to assume that she'd been killed in a mission. He became obsessed with finding out the truth, and wished to kill the one who had ended her life. While he kept loyal to the empire, his main goal became to learn what had happened to his sister.

Personality: Indy treats most other imperial soldiers with disinterest. He respects his superiors, including the emperor, but he doesn’t show much emotion around most people. He’s cruel towards anyone who happens to oppose him, and shows no mercy in dealing with others. However, he strives to be quick and efficient with his kills. Unlike his sister, he doesn’t tend to play games with his enemies. After his sister's disappearance, he became a little more distant and unpredictable. He will do whatever it takes to find out what happened to Allitt, even if it differs from his usual actions.

Character wise, yes it's not balanced. But the massive armies of NPCs are the great equalizer.

Ah, a Gundam Wing fan. : )  Nice example, and I suppose you do have a point there.  I just kind of wish that each group had more players to interact with, but ah well.  Whatever works works, I guess.

Both are accepted!  Now I see what you mean about one imperial.  It's going to be interesting to see the siblings on opposing sides.

 

Hmm, that's a good question, as I cannot think of her having any good start-up role, but then again a lot of us don't, so she could have a lot of chances to insert herself into a sweet position.  Maybe she is in isolation, purifying herself of tanzynite fatigue slowly but surely or something of the sort.  She seems to be undergoing immense strain on her body from that ingrained dark tanzynite, so the lack of using it would only solve part of the problem, but it's one step closer to the path of redemption and another step closer to cleansing.

He has only 1 power in his normal form & that is, Red Demon eye (Can warp an opponent's magical/energy attacks away, can warp metal shurikens, metal small needles & metal sharp rods from his red demon eye sending them straight towards his opponents. Also this move can warp himself & others he touches to different locations on the world map). In his Dark Formus form he gains these powers, super speed, Limb regeneration (If apart of his body should be cut off, burned badly, or just won't work anymore he can regenerate that Limb), Black matter eye (Can warp black matter sharp rods that can absorb the opponents energy bit by bit if they get hit or even touch them & these rods can send out strange waves that can disrupt an opponents balance & vision if near these rods. But his Dark Formus transformation has a time limit to it. As a pure Zanzia he is ageless so no one knows how old he really is.

Personality: Zack is a easygoing person, often seen talking to himself or in a mirror, his voice always sounds normal no matter what the situation may be.

Backstory: Zack is one of the only known still pure blooded Zanzias that is still alive & he also covers his face with a demon mask fro some reason, but his mask is orange. Zack apparently has been around in this world for a long time, maybe just a long as Zane as. Zack & Zane seem very similar to each other & some in the empire say they might be brothers but no one knows for sure. Zack's orange demon mask also only has one eye hole to see through almost like his missing his left eye. Not much else is known about him other than the fact he has joined Oryx as part of the New Empire.

Race abilities: Each time Yagyu reveals her given right eye she's able to use the powers of the Red Demon Eye (Can warp an opponent's magical/energy attacks away, can warp metal shurikens, metal small needles & metal sharp rods from her red demon eye sending them straight towards her opponents. Also this move can warp herself & others she touches to different locations on the world map). But each time she uses this power some parts of her body will start to gain strange black markings, these black markings will slowly cover more of her body the more she keeps using it continuously. But if she covers or closes her red demon eye these black markings will faded away in time. 
Magic: Can control & create water to attack or defend, often combined with her ninja attacks. She can summon a massive squid to help her, Water clone (Creates a physical clone of herself (MAX3) but they can't use her magic or powers but they can enter through her water mirrors), thick mist (creates a thick fog that can't be seen through & prevents fire from forming), Heavy Rain (causes rain to fall over the area that is much, much heavier than normal rain making it harder for opponents to move in), Water mirrors (creates 10 water mirrors within the area that when near Yagyu can jump through to another at lightening speed & come out of another water mirror), Water bubbles (creates 5 water bubbles that can explode when near or by user), Water Disc (creates a high speed spinning disc of water that can cut through almost anything).
Personality: Yagyū has a quiet demeanor, She also prefers to keep things to herself and relying on no one to help or save her. She has a soft attitude for those she likes.

Backstory: Yagyu was one of the many children that had her childhood & family ruined with pain & sorrow by the old empire. Yagyu had a younger sister named Sahail that was taken by the old empire for human experimentation & ever since that day Yagyu has trained herself so that she can one day take revenge for her sister Sahail. Yagyu's history of getting revenge soon becomes deeper when she finds a man wearing a strange mask who offers her a special eye, calling it a Red Demon Eye, 2 years & 2 months pass by since then & Yagyu had found the new rebellion called the Seraphim Order & quickly joined them without a second thought. Yagyu hasn't shown or told anyone about what's under her right eye's patch in the rebellion group as she feels they might hate her or even kick her out of the rebellion if they found out. Yagyu is also one of the few people who know that the race human goddesses are in fact the demon race Zanzias & that they are still alive, she's trying to keep this secret too for some reason.

 

Also, my fav color is dark blue, light blue, blue, blue ,blue, blue & what a sec....any blue.

In his Dark Formus form he gains these powers, super speed, Limb regeneration (If apart of his body should be cut off, burned badly, or just won't work anymore he can regenerate that Limb), Black matter eye (Can warp black matter sharp rods that can absorb the opponents energy bit by bit if they get hit or even touch them & these rods can send out strange waves that can disrupt an opponents balance & vision if near these rods. But his Dark Formus transformation has a time limit to it. As a pure Zanzia he is ageless so no one knows how old he really is.

Personality: Zack is a easygoing person, often seen talking to himself or in a mirror, his voice always sounds normal no matter what the situation may be.

Backstory: Zack is one of the only known still pure blooded Zanzias that is still alive & he also covers his face with a demon mask fro some reason, but his mask is orange. Zack apparently has been around in this world for a long time, maybe just a long as Zane as. Zack & Zane seem very similar to each other & some in the empire say they might be brothers but no one knows for sure. Zack's orange demon mask also only has one eye hole to see through almost like his missing his left eye. Not much else is known about him other than the fact he has joined Oryx as part of the New Empire.

Race abilities: Each time Yagyu reveals her given right eye she's able to use the powers of the Red Demon Eye (Can warp an opponent's magical/energy attacks away, can warp metal shurikens, metal small needles & metal sharp rods from her red demon eye sending them straight towards her opponents. Also this move can warp herself & others he touches to different locations on the world map). But each time she uses this power some parts of her body will start to gain strange black markings, these black markings will slowly cover more of her body the more she keeps using it continuously. But if she covers or closes her red demon eye these black markings will faded away in time. 
Magic: Can control & create water to attack or defend, often combined with her ninja attacks. She can also summon a massive squid to help her. 
Personality: Yagyū has a quiet demeanor, She also prefers to keep things to herself and relying on no one to help or save her. She has a soft attitude for those she likes.

Backstory: Yagyu was one of the many children that had her childhood & family ruined with pain & sorrow by the old empire. Yagyu had a younger sister named Sahail that was taken by the old empire for human experimentation & ever since that day Yagyu has trained herself so that she can one day take revenge for her sister Sahail. Yagyu's history of getting revenge soon becomes deeper when she finds a man wearing a strange mask who offers her a special eye, calling it a Red Demon Eye, 2 years & 2 months pass by since then & Yagyu had found the new rebellion called the Seraphim Order & quickly joined them without a second thought. Yagyu hasn't shown or told anyone about what's under her right eye's patch in the rebellion group as she feels they might hate her or even kick her out of the rebellion if they found out. Yagyu is also one of the few people who know that the race human goddesses are in fact the demon race Zanzias & that they are still alive, she's trying to keep this secret too for some reason.

 

Also, my fav color is dark blue, light blue, blue, blue ,blue, blue & what a sec....any blue.

Race abilities: Thanks to her experimental explosion Sahail's body has the power of Shadow Dragon (She transforms into a massive black dragon with tough to damage skin & a powerful dragons roar attack. A black matter dragon form that gives her extra high defense on her dragon scales. Her dragon scales will be made of Black matter but Sahail & her new dragon form can't form anything with the black matter as she's not a Zanzia. But she will gain a black matter left hand that as said can't form into anything but it will just replace her lost hand instead.

 

Magic: Can control & create shadows to attack or defend & often combined with her gunslinger attacks. Shadow clones (Creates a physical clone of herself (MAX10) with her guns, but they can't use her magic or powers), Shadow rips (Creates a shadow rip that can send an attack away & have it reappear to send it elsewhere in battle), Shadow bullets (can shoot bullets that can hit the opponents shadow doing damage to them or just do damage by hitting them), Shadow wall (Can disappear/escape & reappear elsewhere on the world map by passing through a wall), Shadow guns (Can create other types of guns (Shot gun, rifle) by forming shadows around her 2 pistol guns. Shadow Self (Can pull her own shadow from the ground to form a shadow form of herself that can use the powers shadow bullets & shadow guns, but if this shadow self is damaged Sahail will also take the same damage done to this shadow self).
Personality: Sahail has a calming presence about her, her voice is calm & smooth & she often enjoys betraying her allies no matter who they might be. When she gets to enraged in battle she gets extremely angry & annoyed. She also often teases those who want info from her playing with their minds like a doll.

Weapon: He is incredibly skilled with swords. He has a double-edged, medium length, slightly curved katana with a handguard with electricity running through the blade. The support of the blade is serrated with spikes. At max power, the blade and support separate causing massive friction, with in turn makes the blade and spikes extremely hot, hot enough to cut through almost anything. The separation also discharges massive amounts of electricity. This power lasts for only a few minutes. Jynn is able to use the sword's electric power for as long as he likes. Magic:
 Control over electricity at will, as well as being able to shoot electric projectiles from his hands. He usually uses his power as a last resort. If his power is used for more than 5 hours, Jynn will overheat, and cannot use it again for another 5 hours. If he is enraged, he will summon black lightning. It is an enhanced version of his power, but causes him to overheat very quickly. Only Jynn is able to fully control this power. He can forge weapons out of lightning as well. Jynn was also trained to have the ability to read people's auras, and he has vast knowledge about the powers of light and darkness.

Personality: Docile, protective, cautious, intelligent, and has a strong sense of justice. When fighting, he is fierce, fearless, and shows no mercy, but he also knows when to be merciful. He enjoys meeting new people and making more friends.


Backstory: A young man with power over electricity. His mother was struck by lightning during a hurricane while she was pregnant. He joined his country's army and was immediately named commander due to his strength and his precise strategies. Jynn was recently pronounced king of his country (this is a character I made years ago, he has his own land, so I don't know how to incorporate him being born in the Korbenic Empire. If this is not ok, I'll try to change it). Concerned about Oryx's takeover of the Korbenic Empire, he worries that his people are in danger, so he is forced to enter the region. He is completely sefless, he not only seeks to keep his people safe from Oryx, but he also seeks the freedom of others. He chooses to side with anyone who will help stop Oryx.

This one seems pretty powerful, especially with her shadow life.  I'm going to have to decline the shadow life, because she virtually cannot be killed and can escape anything.  I'm also mildly concerned about the shadow wall, but I'll permit you to use it if it is done sparingly.

No worries!  While Oryx can control or use people as spies he's agreed that only players that approve of his doing so can be used in such a manner, so if you don't wish for your character to be used as a spy it won't occur. : )

Yuffie/Emerald explained it pretty well, but no prior knowledge is needed of the story in order to participate.  The only thing you may be missing out on is previous character connections and interactions, as well as why some characters are responding in the manner that they are.  I think you'll do just fine, though, as we have plenty of new players in this round as well.

Well, sort of, he lost his wings after abuse, so my character gave him artificial wings. Melstrome (the horse) is also given a retractable horn.

lmao I don't think that's quite necessary, unless you really think this awesome horse is going to play a big role.
