Sora96 17,256 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) The Last of Us Remastered sees Naughty Dog's masterpiece remastered and enhanced for the PlayStation 4. Naughty Dog's remastering effort is top notch and brings the world to life in even greater detail. The game looks and sounds amazing. It also includes Left Behind, the downloadable story that serves as both a prequel and a way to fill in a gap in the main story. While this starts off as confusing it turns into an emotional and important part of the story explaining how Ellie gets infected. It also includes more than the usual style of gameplay with other things to do including a water gun fight with Ellie's best friend Riley, an imagination of an arcade fighting game and a imagination of a past Naughty Dog title. It also gives a strong suggestion of Ellie's sexuality. While I loved The Last of Us on PlayStation 3 a year ago, this was my first time playing Left Behind and I can say I loved it. The title also includes all the downloadable multiplayer maps for free. It also includes a few gameplay enhancements and a brand new higher difficulty mode. It also includes Grounded, a look behind the scenes at the creation of The Last of Us. The Last of Us Remastered is the definitive version of Naughty Dog's masterpiece. 10/10 Edited November 8, 2015 by Sora96 6 WakelessDream, Green Sparrow, MythrilMagician and 3 others reacted to this
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted November 8, 2015 T he Last Of Us takes post apocalyptic zombies and turns it into something fresh with the introduction of Cordyceps, a real life fungus that takes over insects and animals. The presentation is believable and the characters are seriously amazing. From Sarah, Joel's daughter ("Drugs. I sell hardcover drugs.") To the antagonists like David...they are different believable, and grounded. None come off to me as "comic book" and...most of all, the bond between Joel and Ellie grows at a much needed pace. That final mission, that final run. I haven't played the remastered version, but I played Left Behind and it did not disappoint. Anyone still on the fence about this game should get it. It's one reason why games are art.
