I'm, of course, talking about the giant green prism looking thing in the corner. I'm trying to figure out what it could possibly be, and my only thought is something similar to the Cornerstone of Light. 

 

 

I have no idea, though, so I'd love to hear all your thoughts.

I don't think it would keep the darkness out cause Xehanort is already in the world! Maybe it could have a bigger meaning then keeping darkness away, maybe it could be something used to look into the worlds and make sure they are not being destroyed by darkness.

 

The bigger question is though, when Xehanort and Eraqus were younger, what was the Disney worlds like who stories from the actual movies took place from BBS onwards to KH2?

I think it's a map of The World (as in all the worlds--what we would call a universe). Yen Sid keeps track of the ongoings of The World and alerts Eraqus through a weird crystal thing in BBS when things start to go wrong, so that's my guess.

I figured it was just a doodad to make the room look "mystical", and it had no real importance or bearing on anything. Could be just a fancy clock or something, and nothing actually important.

My guess is that it's some kind of communication or teleportation device, if anything.

I'm leaning more on it being a random object, though. It's probably just something we'll be able to examine and do nothing more with.

A Kingdom Shader render of the Cornerstone Of Light, think about it, Birth By Sleep was originally a non-HD PSP game.

They could only do so much with what they had and what they'd already stuffed in during the development of that game.

Hmm, seems like a lot of people are writing it off as nothing. It very well could be a decoration of some sort, or it could be way more important than we know at this point. It could be an item that is featured in KHX at some point, too.

It IS important! Everything was made for a reason, we just aren't sure what those reasons are yet.

It really does look like just background considering absolutely no focus was given. Lets not forget that there is also a calendar and other design. The room lso looks significantly larger.

I honestly wouldn't compare the calendar in the background to this rather large and easily notable... Thing. It draws attention to itself, unlike the calendar, and it's much more mysterious.

It's not the Cornerstone of Light, we know for a fact it's still where Disney Castle is being built.

the cornerstone of light is used to protect the light of the world. It doesn't necessarily mean that there is only one
