Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is a third-person shooter developed by IO Interactive and published by Square Enix for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 & Windows PC.

Graphically the game is quite good but some of the presentation is quite odd. In terms of music and sound effects there's no issues, it's not perfect but it does the job fine.

Story wise it's good but the ending is shocking. I actually cared for Kane & Lynch but there was zero closure and with this franchise pretty much done it's a shame.

Gameplay wise it's good however the aiming could be improved a little. There's also plenty of difficulty modes and easy mode isn't hard unlike the first game. In a nice feature you can also play co-op. There's also an arcade mode which I enjoyed for a little while and there's also a variety of multiplayer modes however of course this game is old so no one's playing online.

They didn't patch trophies in for the first game on PS3 but of course you don't have to worry here, there's plenty of trophies. There's also multiplayer DLC with trophies in addition to the main trophy list's multiplayer trophies.

Some of the content displayed in the game isn't for the faint of heart. At times there's a lot of blood and swearing and even nudity however the areas are blurred thankfully.

All in all it's a quality game and an improvement over the first game however with zero closure and some unnecessary inappropriate content.

Just like the first game, Kane & Lynch 2 is available both physically and digitally for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 & PC. It is also available on PlayStation Now.
