Okay, so I haven't seen any thread like this on here so I decided to go on ahead and take initiative to make one like it.
So basically, if you ever feel like something is bothering you and wanna rant about it, this is the place to do it. The kind members here will be able to listen and assist you in getting over whatever is bothering/irritating you. Something annoy you today? Let it out here. Didn't like something that happened? Let it out here. Just let out ANYTHING at it all, it doesn't matter. All rants are welcome. Just don't do it TOO frequently, or else that's bad for you and others around you.
Also, there is something I wanted to let out too, so I'll start things off.
So basically a few weeks ago I was in a lecture at Uni. For those of you who don't know, I study Podiatric Medicine (insert overused foot pun/joke here). The subject I was in was Professional Health Competencies. (I think the name suggests what it's about so I won't explain it. ) So that week's was about Ethics in the workplace. And well, the lecturer said something that really ticked me off. She was speaking about moral VS ethics and how they're not the same thing. And the example she gave to explain was homosexuality. Now before you jump to conclusions, no this is not me stating why I don't agree with the concept. We clear? Okay good. Now as I was saying, she stated that homosexual people aren't doing wrong ethically however it change morally depending on the person. Now here's the problem:
She stated, and bear in mind to a whole theatre of students, that being homosexual is NOT a choice and that it's wired into someone's personality. Now I think it IS a choice, but that's not the point I'm trying to make here. The point is that she stated such a controversial matter to students as if it were solid fact. Very professional of her, right? Oh, the irony. Honestly, at that moment I wanted to tell her off for doing that because it's wrong. But I kept my mouth shut so I wouldn't disturb the rest of the session and not to get in trouble. It was the mature thing to do, I thought to myself.
Ultimately what I'm trying to get across is that people can think whatever they want. I mean, we're all entitled to opinions here. But just DON'T convey it in an educational environment like it's a fact. Just no. Not on.
