5:00 PM - Athánatos

     "Hey, did you hear?"

     "Hmm?"

     Inside a dainty little music store in the city of Athánatos, two folks were talking. Joel Martin and his co-worker, Ellen, an epser that specializes in cryokinesis. Not too long ago, news spread about a dead body being found in the outskirts of the city. It is being speculated to be a murder.

     "You heard that there was a murder in the outskirts of the city, right?", Ellen said.

     "What? No way.", Joel replied, looking at her with a worried face. Ellen nodded.

     "Yeah. The gov sucks at their surveillance right now. They need to step up their game, especially since it's, like, three days until a full moon! AKA, The Night the Loons Come Out."

     "Come on, Elly. How can you be so sure it WAS a beast?"

     "I'm not. That's just usually the case."

     "Don't generalize, Elly."

     "Sorry! Sheesh. Anyways, the boss told us to go home early, to lock up. He said he'll be here later to watch the store. Guy's a brute. I think he'll be fine."

     "Really? Aw, jeez, and I have to walk, too...", Joel muttered.

     "You don't have a car, Joel?"

     "No, I already told you. I don't have money for a car, or the insurance."

     "Yet...you can afford to pay the rent all by yourself, buy a laptop, AND a smartphone?...", she teased. Joel crossed his arms and pouted like a child.

     "Be quiet. I got those on a good deal.", he said. Ellen chuckled and patted his shoulder.

     "Come on, I can take you back to your dorm. I have a car that runs fine. Besides, I've driven you home before.", she offered.

Joel sighed, and then gave her a light smile.

    "Thanks Elly."

With that, they cleaned up, turned the lights off, and locked up the store. Ellen unlocked her car and they both went inside. With her in the driver's seat, she put it in the ignition, and they drove off towards the university.

     "Here, let me turn on some music.", Ellen said as she turned on the radio, and switched it to a random station.

Joel looked out the window, entranced by the song and the color of the dusk sky over the city.

However, he was also scared about the events that have unfolded today, and what events could possibly unfold later.

     "I hope that death wasn't too close to the university...", he thought, overthinking it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile in the outskirts of the city, many people crowd around a supposed murder scene, debating and pondering what could have happened, and how it happened.
     "You see?! This is exactly why ALL of those damn monsters should be locked up!
     "Shut the hell up! You people don't even know if it was a beast!"
     "It has to be! I know!"
The people just kept bickering and complaining for what seemed like hours. It looked like a fight would break out at that moment.
Lilith stumbled her way out of some unknown house, a full purse at her side.
"Well that was nice." She said, maybe a tad bit drunk.
She had just killed another one of her daily victims, and stolen some pretty nice stuff.
Lilith followed the streetlights, and as she walked, Lilith started to hear bickering. There was what looked like the start of a fight not too far away from her.
"My my...what happened here?" She asked, brushing some hair out of her face.
Sharp turn, right into an alley. Looking to the sides. There was no one looking. Silas quickly ran up the wall of the narrow way, jumping from one wall to the other, before lunging himself to the way of a fire escape. He climbed on it, the metal clanking and clang of his feet landing, and then of him running up the stairs of the fire escape. The groaning metals sounded like the thing would give up at any moment, causing a tragic accident. Silas reached to the roof, and without much of a pause or thought, he started to run before jumping off the building and just barely reaching the edge of the next building's roof. Pulling himself up, you could see a smile on his face, his grin showing off his sharp fangs. The rush of adrenaline was just what he needed after a long day at work. Though fixing vehicles and other machinery paid well, it never compared to the feeling of using your energy to the fullest. As he started to run on his fours, jumping from roof, to roof, using multiple items that stood between the buildings to reach his points, the fact he wasn't dead yet was a miracle on its own. But then again, in a city with buildings so close to each other, it helped. Jumping down, using a lamp post to slide down, he reached the floor and hurried right into the outskirts, where only a few people lived, sometimes there were abandoned buildings, and it had large amount of wilderness before reaching the limits of the city. Walking around, sniffing the air as his feet crushed the fallen leaves, his nails traces the wood of the trees while he walked by. "(I love being me.)" Silas thought, smiling to himself while taking a deep breath. If he was lucky, a deer or two would wonder into the outskirts, and if he was fast enough, he'd be able to catch himself a treat. However as he walked around the outskirts area, he stopped, his nose picked something up. The scent of rust mixed with salt, that's the best he could describe it. Creeping up while hiding in the shadows, he turned the corner as he knelt down. A group of people surrounded a murder scene, crimson liquid spreading across the floor as the people started to fight against each other of who was the culprit, whether an Esper or a beast. "(Another one?)" Murders were common, much like any other scene. However it always brought a discomfort, especially if it ended up being a species hatred issue. "I wonder why."
"Move aside. SWAT is trying to assess the murder!" One of Vincent's SWAT team members shouted. Many civilians saw him coming and wondered after him. "It's the Night Angel! He'll catch this killer and put him to justice once and for all!" One civilian shouted in joy. "Move aside civilians," Vincent said pushing his way through the crowd of people until he came upon the body.
"It stinks," Vincent covered his nose from its repulsive scent. "By the smell of this body, it seems to have been here for a while," Vincent reasoned. "What should we do sir?" A team member asked Vincent.
Vincent thought about it. "Finding this murderer is not easy, as the evidence indicates that the killer is long gone. Someone get this body to HQ for autopsy! I'll try and find this killer myself!" Vincent said being confident in his abilities. Because of his powers to manipulate wind, he can pick up traces of things that many espers cannot.
"Yes sir!" The SWAT team member complied, saluting to show his loyalty. Vincent turned his head a little and gave the team one more order before taking flight-
"Oh, and make sure you call Detective Caesar!"
"Oh ho ho~ Who do we have here?" Lilith asked herself, taking a good long look at Vincent.
"I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that fine man..." she almost laughed.
However he flew away.
"WHAT THE HECK?!" She suddenly yelled.
She would need to know his name.
Lilith pranced her way up to one of the agents, getting uncomfortably close to him.
"Please tell me kind sir, who was that man?" She asked him.
The body remained in clear view. Upon further inspection, it appeared to be the body of a young man. His face was washed over with crimson, and four large puncture wounds shown below his collarbone.
  "Twas a murder, dear woman,", an esper answered Lilith. "Twas a murder! Another one!"
Then, the crowd immediately took notice of the SWAT team, and they backed away, following their orders.
Meanwhile, Joel and Ellen reached the apartment complex near the university and the woods.
  "Here you are Joel!", Ellen said. Joel smiled at her and got out of the car.
  "Thanks, Elly. Drive home safe, okay?"
  "Will do. See ya'!"
  "Buh-bye." With that, she drove off.
Joel wasted no time scurrying up the stairs to the top floor in slight panic. He took out his key, unlocked the door, ran inside and closed it behind him. He sighed in relief and walked over to his window, which was open.
Curious, he peeked out it and saw a crowd in the far distance.
  "Oh, you've GOT to be kidding me..."
(I added Silas' Wolf Form in the appearance, I also added Hunting to his hobbies)
At the appearance of the SWAT, Silas couldn't help but to growl to himself. The cops and him never really got along, for the injustice against Beasts and also the fact that he had gotten in trouble for his hobbies. He didn't trust any type of police. Even from where he stood you could see the bloody mess. "They're just going to accuse beasts again." Silas muttered with a scoff, standing up straight as he took a better view. He wanted to get closer. Better do it in his human form. Hiding his hands in his pockets, he kept his hood up, walking casually over by the scene. Taking a closer look, the victim was young, maybe around his age or younger. "Well sh*t." Silas cursed. The scent was worse upfront. Needless to say the body was already in the state of decomposition. Even if he was desperate enough, to the verge of death itself, he wouldn't eat it. The blood was another story, it smelled oddly nicely. But then that would be illegal. "(May he rest in peace...hopefully he didn't suffer.)" Silas thought, staring at the body as SWAT members made sure that there was no contamination of evidence. He didn't recognize the victim, but it still made you wonder. "I wonder if it's an Esper or Beast."
She suddenly yelled.She would need to know his name.Lilith pranced her way up to one of the agents, getting uncomfortably close to him."Please tell me kind sir, who was that man?" She asked him.
The SWAT official turned to the young succubus who had approached her. "Why do you want to know?" The official asked looking suspicious of her. He motioned to the others to slowly move up and capture her. "He is Lord St. Vincent A. Vladmr. An emissary of the Egalitarian Church. And unlike him, who believes in equality for all beings, we are very racist! You, a succubus who does nothing but kills people and suck their blood is the perfect suspect for this case!" The official shouted as the others surrounded her. The civilians roared in the streets causing a huge commotion in the city. "Get ready team, we're about to capture or kill this beast!" The official shouted.
-----------------------------------------------------
The yelling of a mysterious voice and the rising riots in the streets caused Vincent to turn around and view whats going on. He landed a few steps away from the scene to see what looked like a succubus surrounded by his men. "What's going on over here?" Vincent demanded for an answer as he pushed his way to the center of the commotion, meeting this girl. He thought that his team had found the murder victim before him. However, as he was taught, he wanted to converse with her first.
"My gosh people are just so rude these days." Lilith sighed as the men closed in around her.
She really wasn't going to do anything until they actually TRIED to peruse her.
Then of course Vincent came, perfect timing.
"These people think that I am a succubus who killed this man. Which is obviously very stupid of your men to be assuming things so quickly." Lilith said to Vincent seriously.
"The only reason I am dressed like this is because I'm a prostitute. And yes that's my job." She pulled out her card and gave Vincent it.
"Call me if you want services." She then added.
She pouted, crossing her arms.
"I only wanted to meet you Vincent. And THEY thought I was here to do something bad..." she complaint.
Vincent stepped back as he heard everything Lilith said. In his opinion, she was WAY too pretty to be a prostitute. He took the card and stared at it for a second in silence.
"Sir. Your orders?" A SWAT team member asked.
Vincent didn't answer. Instead, his face grew more flushed by the second.
"Sir...." The SWAT team member said trying to get Vincent's attention.
Now, the toopers were worried and decided to take a look at Vincent's face. "Oh no.. It's started," One member sighed.
Vincent loosened his tie a little, approaching the girl. "So, how did you plan to meet me before?" Vincent asked flitatiously as he leaned back on a wall made of air.
The SWAT troopers roared and gave up trying to pursuade Vincent that there was no time this. In their eyes, he did this all the time- which was understandable when one has been locked up in a church for 18 years, training and seeing nuns from day-to-day. Though it was annoying to bear for the team members, they bore it out of their respect and friendship with Vincent.
"Someone call Caesar on the case. I'm going home!" A team member shouted. "Yeah. I have a family to care for too!" Another one shouted. Many agreed as they got into their cars and left with the body to deliver to HQ. The civilians also left, one by one, mumbling, as the commotion had died down.
As people started to leave, Lilith's eyes suddenly turned red and fangs formed in her mouth.
"Now Vincent, you will listen to me. This case is closed." She snapped, an aura luring about him, forcing Vincent to obey her.
"I did not kill this man." She said simply, her eyes going back to normal and her fangs retracting.
The aura wore off.
"Sorry about that Vincent." She then said.
Lilith cleared her throat.
"I wasn't meaning to stumble upon you sir, but maybe you should just put that card to use if you wanna know more about me." She said with a wink, starting to walk away.
"I'm open tomorrow."
Silas watched everything unfold. He caught himself letting out a loud growl from the back for his throat in response to the police's blunt statement of their thoughts against beasts. Had their boss not showed up a second earlier, Silas would've jumped onto one of them and dig claws into skin. However, much to his dismay, the agent was a flirt. Not that it was a bad quality, but it didn't sit well with Silas either. "Protectors of the innocent my @$$." Silas scoffed to himself. The police were more of a threat than the actual gangs and trouble makers of the city, in his opinion. As the crowed dispersed, Silas started to walk away slightly as well. Surely the young lady would be able to take care of herself. If he knew anything about Succubus and Incubus, was that they weren't a being to mess with. He wasn't going to wait for any other cops to come around, one of them probably recognising him and then accusing him. He had enough beef with his parole officer as it was. "Good luck, officer." Silas hissed, before walking away, and without much of a strain started to climb up the closest apartment building.
Joel stared at the crowd as they seperated, and stuck his head out a little further to see better. He sighed a bit in relief, hoping the fighting had subdued.
  "O-Okay Joel. Don't panic. You just need to calm myself...You're gonna be fine.", he reassured himself.
He pulled himself back into his room and looked up at the sky. It staged a beautiful mixture of orange and violet. Some tiny stars barely began to fade into the darkening heavens, and the crescent waxing moon was halfway risen.
  Joel rested his arms on the windowsill, smiled, closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He slowly exhaled, and that calmed him down a bit. Suddenly, he heard a noise from nearby, and his eyes popped open. He pushed himself back into the dorm, foolishly calling out.
  "H...Hello? W-Who's there?...", he softly shouted. Some night class students have gotten lost in this area before, and Joel helped them get back to the university. He continued to search the area for the cause of the noise.
  "Hello?..."
Hearing the weary voice, Silas didn't know if it was an invitation or more of a sign to get out of there and not get involved. However, tonight was one of those nights he just didn't care enough for the outcomes to worry about that. Climbing up skillfully, using the out of place bricks and outer tubing as leverage, he pulled himself up an open window, his sharp nails, or claws, notable as they dug into the wood for support, creating small CRACK sounds that faintly echoes in the silence. Pulling himself up, still wearing his hood, he sat on the windowsill in a crouched position, his yellow eyes seemingly gleaming with the moonlight hitting them, showing off his sharpness and slit for pupils. His fangs an obvious feature as Silas smiled. He looked like a predator about to pounce on its prey as his eyes landed on Joel, making eye contact with the young man. With a low growl forming from the back of his throat, he opened his mouth as if to roar. And then- "...hey, how's it going?"
Vincent, seeing the fangs starting to form, decided to let things play out. As she spoke, her body became more alluring, almost as if it were a trick to fool him. He closed his eyes after she finished threatening him. "Sorry, but I was raised in a church and sent on various Exorcism missions with my brother, Lance. It'll take more that that to scare me into submission," Vincent said. "However, on the contrary, I seemed to have underestimated your intellegence and ability a bit as I would've never notice you had such a dark side, though stereotypes claim that all succubus do. My apologies, madame," Vincent said taking a bow. As the girl began walking away, he tucked the card in his pocket, thinking he needed to keep an eye on her. "I'll make sure to take your advice," Vincent called out to her before walking in the opposite direction.
(DAT AO NO EXORCIST REFERENCE DOU)
"I'll be expecting a call from you, Vincent!" Lilith called back, prancing her way back to her home.
She lived in a high-end house she stole from a costumer, and thankfully Lilith has had enough money to pay it off.
As she entered, she threw her purse down and sighed, going off to her room to rest.
Joel jumped back a little when a young hooded man crouched on his windowsill and casually greeted him. He was tempted to slam the window shut, but just by looking at this man's appearance, he didn't want to take that chance.
  "U-U-Um...Hey...", he greeted nervously. "Y-You know you're not supposed to be out here, r-right? A-Are you...trying to get to the night class at the university? Or are you that murder?", he asked rather spontaneously. His mixture of fright and nervousness was making this rather awkward.
"Oh! S-Sorry, I...shouldn't make assumptions like that!" His face turned red with embarrassment. "Uh...so, are you a student? If you are, I-I can take you to the night class. Or if you're not, I suggest you go home, unless you're like, my unexpected roommate or something.", he joked awkwardly, his face now bright red. This kind of event wasn't the first time to occur, so he was kind used to it. Key word, 'kind of'.
The mention of the possibility of him being the murderer had Silas let out a deep growl of disappointment. Maybe it was just that he expected another answer besides being accused of being the murderer. In his mind it could be a Beast VS Esper thing that he had grown up with. Even as he didn’t had a specific hatred towards Espers, it annoyed him to be pushed down as a ‘lower species’. “You really need to practice your social skills. When you encounter someone at night, you aren’t supposed to accuse him of a murder just because he’s a beast.” Silas said, jumping off the windowsill and standing up, seemingly towering due to him being 189cm tall(6 feet and 2 inches). “I’m not a student, I’m just wondering around. I was just deciding to take a shortcut over this building when I saw the window and decided to say hello.” Silas said as he turned over and closed the window. “You shouldn’t keep it open at night. Not with an apparent murderer on the loose.” Silas then turned over to Joel and walked over to him while sniffing the air. “I could go home, but I won’t. Otherwise it’d be a change in my daily routine.” Silas walked over to the door and rested against the doorway before smiling at Joel, showing off his fangs. “Haven’t you heard my howling at night?”
Joel hung his head down in shame.
  "Oh...I'm sorry."
He looked over at the man, who just casually came in and closed his window.
  "U-Um...yeah. Thanks, I-I guess...", he said, rubbing the back of his head.
But once he stood up, he kinda towered over Joel. He gulped and just observed this guy and his actions.
  "Oh. Then I apologise for screwing up your routine...", he said.
But then, he froze when he mentioned howling.
  "That's...you?" He stepped back a little bit. "Huh...W-Well, don't plan on doing that in my dorm.", he said, crossing his arms. A werewolf, huh?
  "By the way. I never properly greeted you. I'm sorry..." He walked over to his bed and sat down. "Hello. M-My name is Joel Martin. And you are?..."
"Silas." He said, introducing himself. He lowered his hood to show his face, in hopes to look less frightening to Joel. "Silas Fester. Ironically it means 'from the forest'. I'm a mechanic." Silas said as he suddenly pulled out a card and handed it to Joel. "Can fix anything, and no need for a tow truck either." He added, turning and taking a few steps. "I won't do it in your dorm. I'm going to hunt myself a treat." Silas said, raising his hand before Joel could speak. "And by treat I mean deer. Not Espers or other creatures." He added, turning to the door and walking out. "I'll leave you be, Joel. Also, if the cops ask, I was never here. They don't like me very much." Silas said as he raised a finger to his lips. "Give me a call if anything. I think I'd like to see more of you, Joel. You have a unique scent, for an Esper." With that, Silas closed the door, and with a sprint, ran out of the building and across the parking lot, jumping over the fence into the forest area of the outskirts. Before long he ran on fours even if he wasn't in his wolf form. Moments later all you could hear was a loud howl.
(I hope this gives chance to move to the next morning or whatever, since most characters have gone home xD )
When Joel saw Silas' face, he calmed down a bit.
  "W-Well, it's nice to meet you, Silas.", he said with a shy smile. Then, Silas handed Joel a card.
  "Oh. Thank you. I'll, uh...keep you in mind.", with that, Silas headed out the door.
  "Have a safe!...Night.", he called out, right before Silas closed the door.
Joel sighed, and looked at the card one last time before putting it on his desk. He put on his nighttime attire, brushed his teeth, and hopped into bed, laying on his side. As he did all of this, he couldn't help but think.
  "I wonder what he meant when he said I had a unique scent... Ah. Why do I even care?..."
Then, he heard a howl in the distance. His eyes widened a bit, and his quietly gasped. He curled up in slight fear, and tried to fall asleep.
  "Oh, Joel. You fricking scaredy-cat! There's nothing to worry about...", he thought.
The next morning...
8:24 AM
Joel woke up to the alarm clock on his phone. He cracked his eyes open and groaned. He was in the fetal position, his arms clinging onto his pillow. He sat up, walked over to his desk and shut the phone up.
  "Hush, you stupid thing...", he grumbled.
It was his day off today, but he still tried to wake up at a healthy time. He yawned and threw the pillow back on the bed. He took a shower, put on clothes and put on his coat. After making his bed, he headed out the door, locked it and went out on his morning walk. There was a morning fog, but not too bad.
Meanwhile, near the murder scene, a small riot took place in the streets, and both espers and beasts were getting a bit unruly.
Lilith was already up, and dressed in her usual inappropriate attire. She had walked out and was simply staring at her phone, not taking her eyes off it. She was still waiting for Vincent to call her and was getting very impatient.
But of course, Lilith ran straight into Joel. Right straight on.
She fell on top of him and literally didn't move, a smirk on her face.
"Well well well...this is odd indeed." She said, smirking.
Caesar was not having too great of a day. First, a failed visit with his brother. Followed by this. "Would you all back away? The crime scene tape isn't just there for decoration you know." Caesar addressed the crowd, his tone exhausted and frustrated. He turned back to the body. He would need to get it to autopsy for more detail, but as of right now, it looked very much like a murder. He had examined the rest of the crime scene, but to no avail. This perp was good. He had already gotten most of the evidence to forensics, but he had remained at the scene to find anything else.
(Hargle, if you could give me a list of any kind of evidence found at the crime scene, that'd be great please)
Joel kept walking through the fog until someone fell on top of him.
  "Oof!", he cried.
He looked up at what appeared to an ungody beautiful woman over him.
  "Oh my goodness! I-I'm so sorry! Heheh...I didn't mean to get in your way, miss!", he apologized. Even though it wasn't really his fault, he still felt the need to say 'sorry'. However, when taking a better look of this smiling woman, he concluded she was, in fact, a succubus. As if her attire didn't give it away. He needed to get out of there fast.
  "Umm...heheheh...Sorry. Um...c-could you get off of me? Please?"
  Meanwhile, at the crime scene, a small, sharp, and pure black canine tooth hid near the body, as well as one embedded in the victim's collarbone. There was a box of half-full cigarettes and a crucifix in the victim's pocket, and a broken bottle of holy water by its side.
