Ummm what?Chrono Trigger & Secret of Mana aren't Final Fantasy games?

How about calling the game TheatRhythm Square Enix All-stars instead?

They have had a section in the game for other Square Enix titles since launch. Until now only SaGa was in it.

technically there spin-offs of final fantasy like kingdom hearts

 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy

No they're not.A spin-off would use elements from it's mother franchise or at least have final fantasy in the name with a subtitle. In KH final fantasy characters are cameos and aside from moogles there is barely anything related to the FF lore in general

Chrono Trigger is barely related to anything in FF at all...why isn't it called Final Fantasy:Chrono Trigger then?

And that Wiki article can be edited by anyone here so it won't be that accurate

I'm disappointed there's only one track from Chrono Trigger. I'd buy a game that just included music from the Chrono games alone.

So they're spin-offs because they're by the same company and in the same genre? By that logic, Kirby is a spin-off of Mario.

The Mana series is a Final Fantasy spinoff if you remember the Final Fantasy Legends trilogy, and Final Fantasy Adventure for Game Boy.

Those weren't Mana, they were SaGa. From what I understand, Mana has absolutely no relation to FF.

Final Fantasy Adventure is the original version of Sword of Mana. The producer of Secret of Mana is the director of Final Fantasy III's remake and had a massive role in Final Fantasy XI.

Okay, you've got me with Sword of Mana, but I fail to see how your reasoning makes Secret of Mana a spin-off just because the producer also helped make FF games. Might as well say Zelda is a spin-off of Mario since they were both originally made by the same guy.

Nah, I just meant they're made by the same people. Square Enix has had an other titles section since launch so this should have been expected.

I know that, I was just questioning the spin-off debate. I'm glad that they're going with games that aren't just FF, I just don't get how Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger are spin-offs of Final Fantasy, because they aren't.

Oh, they aren't. They're simply made by the same people.
