Just another day....

This tale starts with Sora covering himself in his blankets where the sun cannot reach him. All was going well until the alarm clock started ringing, ringing and ringing until it finally falls off his bedside table. All was silent and remarkably, Sora began to stir.

 

Sora: "What a dream..."  

 

He stretches and summons the courage to leave the comfort of his bed. He begins to walk towards the bathroom with frizzy hair and lose fitting clothes.

 

Sora: "I don't think I slept very well last night." (yawns) 

 

Sora gets dressed, but realizes he is missing his jacket.

 

Sora: "My Jacket!! Where is it!? I had it last night!"

 

He scrambles back to his room to find his missing jacket. 

 

Sora: "I was supposed to meet everybody at the Beach today! If I don't hurry, I'll be late! Stay calm... I just gotta retrace my steps."

 

Sora reminisces about the night before.

 

Sora: "Cake! I left in the kitchen after eating my bedtime snack!"

 

He runs to the kitchen where he was reunited with his jacket. Which was on the back of a chair.

 

Sora: "Okay! Now that that's over, it's time for breakfast! I should brush my teeth first, but I don't want to because everything will taste like mints.... I'll do it after breakfast."

 

Sora  searches the cabinets to find some sugar, some loose leaf tea, and tea kettle. He searches the cupboard, still nothing. Then he returns to the nook hidden in his room and pulls out little dried fruit from what was left over the night before, of course this wasn't enough to subdue a growing boy's appetite. 

 

Sora goes outside to look for a seagull egg and spots one on possibly the tallest tree on the Island.

 

Sora: "I really wish I would have went to the market... Looks like its time to climb!" 

 

Sora manages to climb to the top of the great tree and grab the egg.

 

Sora: "Yes!"

 

Still unaware of what was guarding the egg. He was then was greeted by an angry Seagull who proceeded to peck his head repeatedly,so much so that he breaks the egg in his clutches. With his hand soaked in yolk Sora loses his grip and falls off the tree  

 

Sora: "Ahh!!"

 

Sora hits the ground with a thud.

 

Sora: "Ouch!! Aww man... I'm running out of time. Alright, I'm gonna skip breakfast and head to the Beach! I have to wash this egg off first.

 

Sora  rushes home and cleans himself up. Then hastily heads out the door towards the dock where his boat was moored. When he arrives he notices two boats have already left, Sora smiles then sighs.  

 

Sora gets in his boat and heads for the Beach.

 

While underway, he paused suddenly.  

 

Sora: "I forgot to brush my teeth... Ah, I'll do it later."

 

Sora arrives at the beach where he is greeted by Riku and Kairi.

 

Riku: "Where were you, Sora?"

 

Kairi: "We've been waiting forever!"

 

Kairi said while trying to balance several beach towels and bags she had brought.

 

Sora: "Sorry guys, I've been busy..."

 

Riku: "Sure you have."

 

Kairi: "We have watermelons and Riku's cooking up some fish."

 

Sora: "Lets eat!"

 

Kairi: "Don't you want to swim first? We'll cut the watermelon in a little bit, okay? "

 

Sora: "Uhh... yeah." (stomach growls).

 

Riku: (laughs).

 

Sora: "What's so funny?"

 

Riku: "Nothing, lets swim."

 

Sora: "What about the fish?"

 

Riku: "Why don't you watch them?"

 

Sora: "Uh... Sure."

 

Sora gets out his towel and places it flat on the ground and sits while watching Riku and Kairi. The aroma tempted him Sora picks up his towel an moves away from the fire. His stomach growls...

 

Sora: Shut up. 

 

Riku: "Oww!!"

 

The yell startled Sora. 

 

Sora: "What's wrong!?"

 

Riku: "I was getting out of the water and I stepped on a crab!"

 

Sora: "Just like old times, huh Riku?"

 

Riku: "Shut up!!"

 

Kairi quickly runs out of the water.

 

Kairi: "What's wrong?"

 

Riku: "I... got pinched by a stupid crab."

 

Sora: (laughs) "Where is it now?"

 

Riku red faced, holding his foot replied... 

 

Riku: "It crawled away"

 

Sora: "Smart crab! He avoided Riku's wrath."

 

Kairi: "Want a bandage, Riku? I have some in my purse."

 

Riku: "No... I'm gonna swim some more."

 

Riku said trying to shake off the pain. 

 

Sora: "Why did you get out in the first place?"

 

Riku: "To check on you!"

 

Sora: "You didn't need to check on me. I can cook!"

 

Riku: "You already burned the fish!"

 

Sora: "No I... Oh crap."

 

Kairi: "At least we still have the watermelons. Want a slice?"

 

Riku: "Yeah, lets feed Sora before he dies"

 

Sora: (stomach growls) "Yeah..."

 

Sora and Riku get out some plates. Kairi then cuts the watermelon into four pieces and places each slice. Sora goes to get fresh water from the spring. Sora, Riku and Kairi begin to eat the watermelons. Kairi accidentally drops one piece. 

 

Sora: "I love watermelons!!" (Starts eating his watermelon slice).

 

After everyone is finished, Kairi cleans up the plates and puts them in a beaded satchel bag. Sora and Riku put away the towels.

 

Sora: "What could we do know?"

 

Kairi: "Does anybody wanna help me look for sea shells?"

 

Sora: "Sure."

 

Riku: "Not really, I'm still hungry. Since Sora burned our fish, I'll catch some more."

 

Sora: "Can I come too?"

 

Riku: "Sure, I'd like to babysit. Just don't do anything stupid like scaring the fish away."

 

Sora: (grins and laughs) "I won't! Don't you know who you're dealing with?"

 

Riku: "I know exactly who I'm dealing with."

 

Sora: "Not sure what to say to that..."

 

Sora and Riku head to the boat and begin to fish. They sit patiently as the waves rocked the boat. Tidus and Wakka who were sparring on the Islands were watching them from the shore in the distance.

 

Wakka: "What do you think they're doing out there, ya?"

 

Tidus: "I don't know, probably stupid stuff.."

 

Wakka: "Think they're trying to get something to eat? I don't think the fish will be biting now, brudda"

 

Sora and Riku begin to discover that Tidus and Wakka are watching them.

 

Sora: "What do you think they're doing over there?"

 

Riku: "Probably something stupid."

 

Meanwhile, Kairi and Selphie who had met along shore just got back from collecting seashells noticed Tidus and Wakka standing on the Beach and went to ask them what was wrong.

 

Selphie: "Why are you looking all dumbfounded?"

 

Wakka: "Uhh... Not sure why, but Sora and Riku have been out there for awhile now."

 

Tidus: "I'm not entirely sure, but from what I'm seeing Riku looks ticked."

 

Kairi: "Oh they're just out fishing."

 

Selphie: "Why don't you show them that thing you made? 

 

Kairi: "That "thing" is my special seashell necklace. It's made out of thalassa shells. You try it on, Wakka. Hope it fits. It's supposed to bring sailors good luck."

 

Wakka: "Sure thing, ya! I'm helping my uncle fish tomorrow. I'll need all the luck I can get!"

 

Wakka attempts to try on the necklace, but it doesn't fit past his forehead. He tries to force it, but to no eval. Instead of wearing it like a necklace, he has another ideal.

 

Wakka: "It won't fit, ya! Maybe I'll just wear it like a headband! Will it still bring me good luck?"

 

Kairi: "The legend says as long as you wear it. So I guess it'll work..."

 

Wakka: "Then I guess I'm good to go, ya!"

 

Sora and Riku still haven't caught any fish... Disappointed, they go back to shore.

 

Sora: "Well... Sadly we haven't caught any fish.... Uhh, Wakka?"

 

Wakka: "What's up, brudda?"

 

Sora: "What is that thing on your head?"

 

Wakka: "It's a necklace made of thalassa shells that's supposed to bring good luck! Kairi made it, but uh... It's a bit too small for my head, ya! So I used it as a headband instead!"

 

Riku & Sora: (laughs)

 

Wakka: "Hey! What's so funny?"

 

Riku: "Nothing...."

 

Sora: "Yeah, nothing...."

 

Riku: "That thing looks a little tight on your head though. Why don't you take it off for a bit?"

 

Wakka: "Hmm, now that you mention it... Ahh... It does sting a little. But I need the good luck so... I'll leave it on till I go fishing tomorrow!"

 

The necklace was tightly squeezing Wakka's head. The seashells were crooked and necklace was about to break. Wakka then has another ideal...

 

Wakka: "Why don't I test it and see if I can catch some fish."

 

Sora: "Wakka, I hate to burst your bubble, but that "headband" isn't going to help you..."

 

Wakka: "Just watch and learn, brudda!"

 

Riku: (laughs)

 

Sora: "Okay..."

 

Wakka dives under the water and stays there for awhile.

 

Sora: "He's been under there for almost two minutes"

 

Riku: "Maybe we should go after him..."

 

They then they see a familiar silhouette rushing towards the surface. Wakka burst out of the water.

 

Wakka: "I caught one! I just grabbed it! I guess it really is good luck, ya!"

 

Sora: "Uhh... Wakka?"

 

Wakka: "Yeah?"

 

Sora: "Your "headband is gone.. You must have lost it under the water"

 

Wakka: " Ah geez!!!!"

 

Wakka dives back into the water to look for the headband.

 

Riku: (laughs) "Well.... That will keep him busy for awhile.... What now, Sora?

 

Kairi: "It's geting late... Wanna watch the sun set?"

 

Tidus nods, then pauses for a moment. Suddenly, he takes off running. Wakka yet again, emerges out of the water with broken necklace in hand.

 

Wakka: "FOUND IT!..."

 

Feeling very proud of his accomplishment if only for a moment, then sees Tidus run off shore down a dirt road.

 

Wakka: "HEY, WHERE YOU GOING!?" 

 

Tidus: "KITE!"

 

Wakka stumbeled out of the water and chased after Tidus.

 

Wakka: "I'm coming too." 

 

Tidus answered back with a rather haughty expression...

 

Tidus: "YEA, IF YOU CAN KEEP UP!" (laughs)

 

Wakka: "I'm gonna make you eat those words, brudda."

 

Kairi chuckles and shakes her head. Selphie shrugs.

 

Selphie: "Great, now we have to wait on those idiots and the bugs will start bitting soon... (sighs) I wanted to work on my tan today."

 

Sora chimes in, meanwhile Riku is preoccupied drying his head with a beach towel.

 

Sora: "Guess you'll have to work on that tomorrow..."

 

Selphie sarcastically laughs.

 

Selphie: "Thanks, Captain obvious."

 

Kairi: "She's just pouting... Anyways, Me and sora are going to watch the sun set. You coming, Riku?"

 

Riku: "Yeah."

 

Sora, Riku and Kairi head to the shore to watch the sunset next to the ocean waves. They watched as the sun glistened on the water and the waves lapped the shore. The three sat together, As the sun set there was a gentle breeze. Kairi stared out into the water.

       

Kairi: it's so pretty.

 

Sora: What is? 

 

Kairi: The water, it looks like diamonds.

       

Sora inhaled and let out a sigh of contentment, then leaned against a palm tree placing his hands behind his head 

 

Sora: "Yep. Ah... This IS nice!"

 

Riku: " yeah..."

 

Kairi: "You disappointed cause you didn't catch any fish, Sora?"

 

Sora: "Haha... Kind of, but I'll be okay.... For now." (stomach growls)

 

Riku: (laughs) Your sure about that....?

 

Sora: "Yeah." (grins)

 

Sora: I had some watermelon, so I'll be good... For now. 

       

The three all started laughing.

 

Wakka and Tidus  return from their previous endeavor. Tidus holds in his arm a bright red dragon shaped kite complete with streamers outfitted on each wing.

 

 

Tidus: "I Have an ideal for one more fun thing to do before the day ends.... Wanna fly some kites?"

 

Tidus said holding up his kite. 

 

Wakka: "Sounds good, ya! Lets ask Sora, Riku and Kairi if they want to fly them with us."

 

Selphie: "And don't forget me!!"

 

Sora see's them in the distance, then turns to his friends.

 

Sora: "You guys wanna fly some kites? Looks like they've already started."

 

Riku: " Alright!" 

 

Kairi: "Sure!"

 

Sora, Riku and Kairi joined the group and everyone sat on the beach and watched Tidus fly his red dragon kite.

 

Selphie: "WOOO HOOO!! GO TIDUS!!"

 

All was going well till.

 

Wakka: "Hey! Let me have turn." 

 

Tidus: "NO!! STOP!!"

 

Wakka had bumped into Tidus and caused him to lose his grip on the kite. It flew away far out of his reach. Tidus slugs Wakka.

 

Tidus: "YOU IDIOT!!!"

 

Selphie: "What's wrong, Tidus?"

 

Tidus: "This idiot bumped into me and me lose the kite!"

 

Wakka: "Sorry, brudda...."

 

Selphie: (sigh)

 

Tidus had lost all hope in finding his kite, then sora spotted it. He noticed the kite was caught in a tree on the small island across the boardwalk. Sora thinks he might have ideal and attempts to reclaim it. 

 

Sora: "It's stuck in the tree! Let me see if I can get it! I'm a really good climber!"

 

Kairi: "Be careful Sora...."

 

Riku: "I've GOT to see this."

 

Sora: "No problem!" (grins)

 

Sora quickly starts climbing the tree at first it's no problem for him, but then he slips and nearly falls off!

 

Sora: "AHH!!" 

 

Sora grabs hold of the tree just in time and hangs on. Then, he quickly scales up and grabs the kite!

 

Sora: "I got it!"

 

Riku: "........Wow."

 

Tidus: "Alright!!!"

 

Wakka: "Way to go, ya!"

 

Selphie: "WOOO HOOO!"

 

Sora looks happy that he grabbed the kite just before it blew out of reach, but then the wind heavily picks up and blows him off the tree. He hits the ground hard again. This time even harder.

 

Sora: "Ahhh... Don't worry, I got it."

 

Wakka: "You alright, brudda?"

 

Sora: "Yeah, no worries."

 

Wakka: "Cool! Now it's my turn with the kite!"

 

Selphie: "No, it's my turn!!"

 

Wakka: "Too late, ya!" (laughs)

 

Wakka runs off as Tidus and Selphie trail after him. The Sun has almost set completely on this day.

 

Sora: "Well, it's getting late."

 

Kairi: "Yeah."

 

Riku: "Guess we'd better get home. (laughs) It's sad we spent half the day looking for fish."

 

Sora: "Ahhh.. I had fun anyway!"

 

Kairi: (laughs) "Me too!"

 

The three talk for a little while then grabbed their things... 

 

Sora: "Goodnight, guys. See ya tomorrow."

 

Riku: (laughs) "Yeah, see ya then."

 

Kairi: "Goodnight, Sora. See you tomorrow."

 

Sora Heads home and gets out his special Islander's Cake.

 

Sora: "Mmmm this SOOO good."

 

After Sora was finished eating his cake, he watched TV for the rest of the night in anticipation for what may come tomorrow.
