Once Upon a Time in the land of the Fables....

 

In the land of the Fables, many Fables were forced to flee from their Homeland to escape hardship. Now many of these Fables settled into a quiet area now known as Fableland in the state of Connecticut in order to restart their lives and hide from the mundane world. Fables who do not look human must be put under a spell, known as Glamour, in order to blend in with the human world. If not, they will be arrested and sent away.

 

It’s been centuries since your arrival in Connecticut. It is the 21st century. You are a Fable. Life is rather rough, and it costs more and more to live each day, especially with Glamour. Forced to live in isolation from the mudane world, tensions are high. It's almost impossible to trust anyone.
 

Rules:
KH13 rules apply.
You may apply as any KH character you wish~ However don't make them OP, and you may have to change their story a bit or whatever.

Minimal cursing, feel free to have a few f-bombs but nothing over the top.
Keep this PG-13 (especially with romance)

Control as many characters as you can handle.

No God-modding. You have to lose sometime!
No killing characters or critically injuring them without permission.

No controlling other characters without permission.

GRAMMAR OR I WILL MAIM YOU.

You may be whatever Fable you want. You can even be urban legends, nursery rhymes and cryptids like Owl Man, Humpty Dumpty, or even freaking Slenderman. Hell, you can even be Hans or Olaf from Frozen if you want.

With Disney fables, you may pick from the Disney movies or the original fable characters. There cannot be two Sleeping Beauties! (Fables like Frozen are an exception since The Snow Queen is much different, hence they count as two different Fables.)

You actually don’t have to be a Fable, however just make your character work in the story if he/she is not. (Example: Teen who knows about the Fables and just hangs around protecting their secret)

Feel free to contribute to the story, after all this is a rp.

Name: Princess Anna of Arendelle

Age: 21

Gender: Female

What Fable you’re From: Frozen

Appearance:

Occupation: Owner of Flurry Ribbons

Glamour: None

Personality: Anna is spunky, fearless, and kind. Extremely far from elegant, Anna is very impulsive as well as free-spirited. She would do whatever it takes to do what’s right. She’s a very awkward young girl, however she makes it up with her strong kindness.

Bio: Anna grew up being shunned by her older sister. However when her parents died at a very young age she ended up having to go on a quest to find her now Queen sister in order to save the kingdom from an endless winter. Now, she lives in Fableland running a little ribbon shop to sell pretty ribbons and chocolates to make a comfortable living. She loves mostly everyone in Fableland, and always act kind to those who treat her well. (Anyone feel free to be Kristoff!)

Name: Bigby Wolf (Big Bad Wolf)

What Fable you’re From: (If human just say human) Red Riding Hood and Three Little Pigs.

Appearance: Scruffy beard, messy brown hair and brown eyes that turn yellow or red depending upon what level of his wolf transformation he goes into. Muscular build hidden under a white shirt with a tie hanging loose over his chest. Upon undergoing half of his transformation he grows thick brown hair over his body and grows claws and fangs and his eyes will turn yellow. When in full wolf state, he will resemble a full bodied werewolf with gray fur all over his body and red eyes.

Occupation: (Optional): Sheriff

Personality: Somewhat unpleasant to most, but he just doesn't put up with any bull. He's the kind of guy who would rather rough you up in a bad cop way than play nice nice with you. However he sympathizes with those who cannot afford to get glamours, his best friend back home was a pig who kept sneaking off the Farm after all.

Bio: Bigby Wolf moved to Connecticut after the whole 'Crooked Man' incident back in New York. With a bit of string puling he managed to become sheriff here too. Now he's living in  yet ANOTHER apartment building with Colin...who demanded to come along. He's got his fingers crossed this place won't be as big of a craphole as the last town.

Appearance:  Brown curly hair and blue eyes, he has light freckles across his face. His stature is skinny and slightly lanky, his clothes have an outgrown look to them his pants reaching his mid-calf, and his shirt to his elbow. He wears no shoes and carries around his flute wherever he goes.

Personality: mischievous, smart, resourceful, playful 

 

Bio: Peter enjoyed many years of being a kid and tricking old captain Hook in Neverland. Now he lives in Fabletown on the street always pulling pranks or doing odd jobs for food money. With his childish appearance and attitude it has been impossible for Peter to land a real job to make money for a place of his own and most often couch hops from place to place.

What Fable you’re From: Sleeping Beauty

Occupation: Glamour Provider

Glamour: none

Personality: brooding, scheming, sneaky, sarcastic, intelligent and patient.

Bio: The terrible shapeshifting witch who put the curse on Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent survived her fateful encounter with Prince Charming, when she was believed slain in the form of a dragon. While plotting revenge, she was approached by the Adversary, who offered her a place in his new regime if she helped him take the Homelands. She agreed and led campaigns against the good folk of the Homelands. She eventually tried to betray the Adversary to take control of the homeland herself, but her coup attempt failed badly. Weakened and on the run, Maleficent turned to help the good folk of the Homelands in exchange for them taking her with them to the mundy world. Now, living in Fableland, Maleficent is watched by the remaining witches and wizards. What power they let her have is put towards making glamours, as part of her "community service". But this witch still has a few tricks up her sleeve...

Note: this isn't necessarily an antagonist character. She has her own agendas and timelines. She will go on the side she believes will further her own goals. Currently, that means letting Fables live in peace.

Appearance: Typical Aladdin appearance, but wearing a suit and tie.

Occupation: None, but wealthy.

Glamour: None

Personality: Dreaming, free spirit. Adventurous and courageous. Currently feels rather limited, and stuffed.

Bio: Aladdin became a Prince after marrying Jasmine, and with that came a luxurious lifestyle. This translated when they came to Fabletown. So he and Jasmine live in a mansion, living off the Royal wealth they had before. Of course, this means they don't have to do much. Aladdin has become bored with this life, wishing that he could live through some adventures again. However his wife is disapproving of this, believing he should be happy, considering he used to be a thief.

Occupation: Part-Time "Clairvoyant" (Having to do with the aspect of able to see the future in earlier versions of the legend.)

Glamour:

Personality: Calm,collected,spiritual,sort of monotone. She won't get angry easily,and even if she does get angry,she doesn't show much emotion if none at all,which makes it hard to expect what she is currently thinking when facing her. Overall annoyed that she is constantly called by little kids in these silly rituals just because of a joke. (Though she doesn't actually go all the way as to appear in their mirrors,she does end up hearing them in her head). Due to this she has developed a big fear of children.

Bio: Born of the legend (derived from the Countess Mary story) that if you say her name,Bloody Mary,in front of a mirror three times,she will appear and answer your questions. She took it seriously until the legend started to reach annoying teens and kids who wanted to do it for giggles,so she has indeed scared a few people out of their wits,gave some heart attacks,but regardless is now trying to keep herself away from any kind of children,which she has developed a phobia to. She lives with Kuchisake-onna,much to her dismay.

She covers the scar up by wearing a surgical mask when around people.

 

 

Occupation: Thief (if it's considered an occupation)

Glamour:

Personality: Reckless,likes to party,out-going,and sort of sick to the head in certain terms of thinking. Has a thing for blood and anything red (favorite color). Has a very bad habit of pulling out her pair of scissors when angry and stealing. She can be easily calmed down and distracted if thrown candy or fruit at her.

Bio: As the legend goes,it's a young,beautiful woman who people would encounter on their way home from school or work. She would ask them if she was beautiful. If they answered no,she'd kill them with the scissors. If they answered yes,she would reveal her disturbing scars and ask if she was beautiful now. Regardless yes or no she would kill the person with her scissors. If they answered maybe she would stare confused. People also started using the technique of throwing candy and fruit at her. Which she would pick up and give them a chance to escape. Now she lives with Mary,who has given her a strict rule of not killing anyone,which she has kept,but has ended up developing a habit of stealing instead. She never really did have a name,so she went by a short version of what people used to call her,Sake.

What Fable you’re From: Three Little Pigs

Appearance: Looks like your typical pink male pig, although he can talk like most of the animals in Fabletown.

Occupation: None

Glamour: In Glamour he takes the form of a pudgy man wearing a striped vest and a brown coat, the vest rides up so it shows his bellybutton due to his obese form. He wears a bowler hat perched on his balding head. His nose looks pig like even in this form, he wears brown pants and loafers. 

Personality: Has become a womanizer and literal party animal since obtaining cheap glamours in Connecticut. He's extremely thankful for Bigby sticking up for him not sending him to the Farm for un-glamoured Fables back in New York. Although this doesn't stop him from telling him to tone it down once in awhile, and reminding him of his bad deeds in the past....especially the destruction of his own home...like in the story.

Bio: Colin is living with Bigby yet again, and while most would think that would be ridiculous...one of the three little pigs being roommates with the Big Bad Wolf, they get along quite well. So long as Colin gives Bigby his space that is. Colin has a habit nowadays of going out on the town at night and partying it up, in glamour of course....and in the daytime he hits on any woman he finds even remotely attractive...making him a pig in more ways than one.

Appearance: An orange tabby cat with brown leather boots and hat

Occupation: Pawn Shop owner

Glamour: A tall muscularly built man with dark brown/red hair. Wears a leather jacket boots and hat with faded worn jeans and a tee shirt

Personality: Mostly always looks out for himself, rough around the edges. Keeps his own business to himself and doesn't pry into the business of others

Bio: Rafael came from the fable of Puss in Boots where he took the form of a cat. Coming to Fabletown he opened up a shop and with the decent amount of clientele. He always keeps in glamour and does his best to stay inside of the law and stay out of everyones way as long as they stay out of his.

What Fable you’re From: None. He's Human.

Appearance:

Occupation: Student

Glamour: None

Personality: Benjamin is a young very curious boy. He is absolutely obsessed with the Grimm's Brothers, Fables, robots, and pretty much anything he can get his hands on and dismantle. Born deaf, Benjamin has had a very rough life, thinking of the fairytale characters in his books and the robots he makes as his only friend. Despite this, he has loving parents and is extremely mature, smart, and clever for his age. He has a very open mind and uses his disability and the fact that people underestimate him to an advantage.

 

Bio: Benjamin was born deaf, and to add onto that he does not speak at all. He loves his parents with all his heart, despite this he always takes time to sneak out of his house when his parents were at work (which was very often) and explores everywhere he can. He currently resides in Brookshire, which is next to Fableland.

What Fable you’re From: Looney Toons' Road Runner

Occupation: Works at Boots' Pawnshop. Also does some heavy lifting for Anna's shop time to time with the stock she gets in.

Personality: Will is a genuine hillbilly. He's rather silent, nasty, and absolutely hates birds. He also isn't very fond of Bigby, since he's always compared to him. He hates pretty much almost everything, except for Boots. When he's on a good day, he can be somewhat alright. He has bad vocabulary and is somewhat rough around the edges. He tends to get very dirty.

Bio: Will E. Coyote. He was always thought to be pathetic because of his many failed attempts to get the annoying Road Runner.  He left the Homelands and came to Fableland and decided to work with Boots. Because of his strength, he often does all of the heavy lifting, and even helps Anna with her inventory at her shop sometimes. This led him to be somewhat fond of her. Now, he just wants everyone to screw off and leave him alone. He just wants to have a happy life to which no one will bother him and he will bother no one. But obviously, Bigby is in the way.

Personality: Terrance can only described by one word and that word is wary. He calculates all his actions and then checks them again. Terrance does what it takes to regain his pot of gold with just about any means.

Bio: Terrance always was a gambling man and fed people like him what they wanted: games of chance . That changed when his associates decided that they wanted more. He was forced out of the business and decided to test his luck with Fabletown. Terrance decided that working for people who are willing to bet on everything was not the smartest ideas though. He took up the old family business of shoe making as a result.

Glamour: Same as appearance but with his ears and tail hidden

Personality: To most people he seems solemn,peaceful,emotional and kind. However behind the sweet facade he is monotone,lacks regard for any life and emotion,crazy and has an obsession with time.

Bio: After the incident Zuri moved to the human world with Alice,who he eventually married. Bringing the fortune of her family,Alice and Zuri lived a wonderful life. Zuri started to even make his mark by being a collector,buying,collecting and selling pieces to clients of high regard. He even began to make his own collection of clocks,all kinds of clocks he could find. However his years in Wonderland did take its toll as he started to have nightmares of their old home,and about humans. He eventually began to isolate himself quite a bit before he began to develop theories about time. Now that they were in the human world,time was limited to them. They would wither and die,and they would eventually end up being found out by humans,and possibly killed and held as experiments. Atleast that's what has happened in the books he has read of fiction. He eventually did snap,but not completely,as he now has two sides to himself. The one the outside world sees,and the one that his victims see. He has developed multiple theories,one including that if he could expose the supernatural world to the human world before the humans found out on their own,the humans would back off and revere them as the superior race of living creatures.

 

At the moment he has just committed the crime of murder against his beloved wife,Alice. Only the first victim on the list to come.

What Fable you’re From: Multiple (Angel - specifically from League of Legends)

Appearance:

Occupation: Sort of the FBI of the Area; works closely with the Sheriff when needed.

Glamour: (Only if you don’t have a human form or just need/want one)

Personality: hardened and cold, Kayle speaks plainly. Years of war has left her quiet, but when she talks, most listen. She is not quick to pass judgement, prefering to think it through before sentencing anyone. She has been given respect for this.

Bio:

After her service to the League was over, Kayle returned home. The war resumed, and in a fierce battle with her sister Morgana, she lost her wings. Flightless, she wandered the world as the two sides continued fighting, and came upon the workshop of a man who called himself Dalus. Her story did not move him; instead it was her heart.

Together they crafted her a new set of wings; powered by the ancient aetherial power that Dalus possessed, she turned to thank him, and found him gone.

Notes scribbled revealed it was the worskshop of the missing Master Inventor, Daedalus.

Alone, she crafted a new blade. Naming it "Illustrious" and mastering the aether that Daedalus had left her, Kayle, with her newfound wings, again faced her sister Morgana in battle. Her arrival was heralded by the felling of hundreds of Morgana's soldiers, her powers far exceeding the battle-weary warriors.

As she clashed with morgana, they disappeared into light, and Kayle found herself in Fableland. Finding a place as a sort of FBI agent, she works with the Sheriff as best she can.

Personality: Kind and somewhat lost, she tends to value what friends she has, and go to extreme lengths to protect them. Doing her best, she can be manipulated, but she has grown to catch on more quickly then before.

Bio:

After her death at the hands of Roxas, she awoke in Fabeland to find Kayle above her. Somewhat Kayle's 'ward' and partner, she has found a place with the Judicator, helping the Sheriff iron out any problem that appears.

 

Favorite Fable: Dunno. I guess it would have to be...Uh...Kingdom Hearts

 

Hope using kayle was okay; she could be considered a few different 'fables' such as ones with angels, as well as Daedalus and his fabled inventions. And stuff.

yeah, i was using the fables of Angels, but a specific character from a video game. Thanks for accepting that!
