Sora96 17,256 Posted July 26, 2014 FINAL FANTASY VII: Advent Children Complete is in one word: spectacular. I've watched it three times not including my time watching the original version and it's still that now. The animation is so beautiful even five years after it's release. Amazing music as well. But perhaps most importantly, fantastic fight scenes. We're used to controlling the battles and to see them play out like that is so amazing. They're so in depth and skilled. Sometimes whilst watching the film I'm left in awe and simply marvelling at the visuals. Now, I'll be honest. I've never played any of the FINAL FANTASY VII games and despite going into watching this film each time with only little knowledge of the characters and world from watching the extras and other sources I'm still able to fully enjoy and understand the film. This director's-cut is by far the definite version. I found the original version on DVD good, but not great. All the new scenes and edits makes it so much better. I personally would love to see another CGI film like this for the main series, be it for FFVII, FINAL FANTASY X or even another entry. Advent Children Complete is available exclusively on Blu-ray. If you haven't already, go purchase it. It's amazing. It's also available on Netflix, but only the Japanese version. I hope we get more movies, but if anything they would make a FFXIII-4 movie thing or that FFX-3/2.5 I would not watch this. You should play Crisis Core. It is amazing and sad.
