Arendelle "Frozen" World (Sora and Riku's Story)

Recommended Posts

Since everyone wants Frozen to be in Kingdom Hearts III, here's how the story work:

  • Sora's Story: Sora, Donald and Goofy teams up with Anna and (or) Kristoff to find Elsa and save Arendelle from being in darkness.
  • Riku's Story: Riku and King Mickey helps Elsa to keep her ice powers under control and has to protect her from harm.

Arendelle (Sora's Party Members):

  • Donald Duck
  • Goofy
  • Anna
  • Kristoff (after they escort Anna back to the castle)

Arendelle (Riku's Party Members):

  • King Mickey
  • Elsa

Riku would say something to Elsa, the way he did with Quasimodo in DDD

.

Can Olaf and Sven count as Sora and Riku's summons?

Do you think Elsa has reactions against King Mickey?

Can Hans be a boss battle for Sora?

How about Maleficent? She could be for Riku.

NO! Not about Frozen being in KH, about Sora and Riku both going  to Arendelle. I think they should each visit different worlds.

I really don't think Riku will have his own story...I think it'll be Sora and Sora only, like in KH1 and 2

He will. It was confirmed right after the announcement trailer. He and Mickey are looking for past Keyblade wielders.

Maybe you're right it should be similar like DDD.

No they still went to the same world. Basically, If Sora goes to a world, I want Riku to not visit at all in any point of the game. That was the problem with both BbS and 3D, playing through a world multiple times.

Here's an example, Say Arendelle and Corona both make it into the game, Sora should only visit one and Riku should only visit the other.

Was that necessary for Sora and Riku? Sora can visit Corona and Riku could visit Arendelle. So Riku being playable is already confirmed right?

Yes it was. They each had to visit the same worlds. He's confirmed to have an equal part in the story at the very least. Making him playable makes sense. Unless we want to sit thought a bunch of 15-20 minute cutscenes it's seems to be the only option. Even though they never used the words "playable Riku" what they have said makes it seem like that's the case.

......I don't think it should be done that way. If they wanted, they could probably find a way to make it work, but it probably wouldn't be done in the way you just described, it doesn't make much sense for me. It might not even be a world that has a party member, not in my opinion anyway.

But I want to play as every character in every world. If there are just "Sora worlds" and "Riku worlds", that just sounds too separate and boring to me. I liked the whole multiple visit thing ever since KH II and I'm fine with accessing different areas with different characters. I'd rather the order of the worlds they go in be different and just boost up the maximum number of worlds the game is allowed to have to mix things up, not segregate the characters to specific worlds.

I wouldn't mind Sora and Riku visiting the same world multiple times, say Sora going to Arendelle twice, I just think its annoying to have the story broken up among multiple characters. If it were like KHII Where the first visit was based on the movie and the second was a made up scenario, I could do that.

I don't want Frozen in Kingdom Hearts III at this point, I think it has too much hype in its sails at this point. Though it will probably be in there, so whatever. It has already been stated that Kingdom Hearts III is going to play like its numbered predecessors Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. It will follow Sora, Donald, and Goofy as they travel to Disney worlds, while Riku and Mickey go do other things. Nomura has said that a playable Mickey, Riku, and Kairi is being "taken under consideration", but that the game will primarily focus on Sora since he is the main character. If Riku is indeed playable, it will probably just be a slightly extended version of his temporary gameplay in Kingdom Hearts II.

Well, how about this? If the game were to be divide amongst Sora and Riku, then maybe Sora get's the first visit, Riku get's the second visit, and then by the third they both show up at the same time to finish the story off. It'd be different and interesting, as most of the time the characters almost never run into each other. How's that sound?

I'd hope not, I want to play more of grown up Riku than just his brief moment of II gameplay or Days counterpart. Sora can still be the primary focus, but in terms of multiple characters, I would like for it to be something like 60% Sora, 30% Riku, and 10% Kairi and everyone else. But if possible, I would like to have a chance to play as Kairi for an extended period of time, I really want to know how her battle style would work.

Maybe. But there's also the story. They're said to be on separate missions so visiting different world make sense. As long as it's not as repetitive as BbS and Riku's story in a specific world isn't as washed out as in 3D that really what matters to me. Then again, I also see the storylines being sequential. Here, this explains where I'm coming from.http://kh13.com/forum/topic/47407-kingdom-hearts-3-scenario-theory-ddd-spoilers/?do=findComment&comment=964725

Well not necessary per-se, but the second visit in KH II did give us a glimpse of what the denizens were doing after their movie.

Maybe......I don't know.

All I know is that I'm hoping for a story that's longer and deeper than anything we've experienced so far, that I get to play as many characters as possible, and that everybody mentioned get's to be saved. Though I would love to see Namine fight...how would she fight? Being the Nobody of Kairi, one could assume she wields the power of the Keyblade, but you never see her use that power.

I don't have much of a story theory, mostly because I want the experience itself to feel fresh, but I do know that I would like to have multiple scenarios. The one problem I have with your theory though is the fact that you want it all to be sequential rather than simultaneous. If these scenarios happen one at a time, then that means that there are going to be long periods where the other characters just don't do anything, or even worse they do a bunch of stuff off screen that we need to have more games to explain what they were doing. At least with parallel stories you know exactly what everyone is doing. If these scenarios should occur in a sequential order, then tell me what they would be doing when their scenario ISN'T happening, besides training for the big battle.

The ideas of what goes on in those scenarios though makes some sense, but there's still the matter of finding out who the other Organization XIII members are, as well as how to properly protect the Princesses of Heart.

The concept of having an Anna driven plotline makes sense, as it gives Sora reason to travel, but the hitch would come with the Elsa part of the plot. Given that her immensely passive nature prevents her from accomplishing much of anything, the most Riku and Mickey could do is sit there and help her brood. Which, actually, Riku might be shockingly good at, but it doesn't make for a particularly exciting game.

Well, Sora, Donald and Goofy can have Anna and/or Kristoff as party members and Riku and King Mickey can have Elsa as party members. But why would Riku and King Mickey would help Elsa brood? They were just going to protect her.

It was a joke about how Riku likes to brood a lot, and he and Elsa would have that in common.

It would be now that the "Frozen" world is confirmed and I know Nomura already considered Riku playable. Of course it is cliche for Riku and King Mickey to be with Elsa.
