Nintendo World were able to conduct an interview with the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, Tetsuya Nomura. Here, Nomura revealed that he is considering the possibility of Pixar characters being included in the future of the Kingdom Hearts series. The exact quote is below.

I hope its either Toy Story or Finding Nemo XD well I wouldn't want Finding Nemo if there already was Alantartica

What about Monsters Inc.? I love that movie! Plus it would fit right into Kingdom Hearts cause it has sooooo many doors in it :P

Shrek is made by Dreamworks, not Pixar.
But this is great news! I'm hoping for Toy Story myself. Since it was originally under consideration for KH2, it may be more likely to appear in future titles.
