OmegaForte 1,674 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) Agreed but genwunners are people you shouldn't bother afterwards owning them, because those who know nothing can understand nothing. Strange... I remember talking about this back a few months ago with my guild. At least the genwunners calmed down a bit now that GameFreak gave them "fan service" with giving the starters mega evolutions, and Charizard+Mewtwo getting not one, but two mega evolutions. There's also the remixed gen 1 wild Pokemon theme, along with access to Mewtwo (mega stone without any access to Mewtwo would suck, so it is excused) and the Kanto birds. Oh and also giving the opportunity to get them sometime early in the game. Still some did dislike the new evolutions. Then again it could be just personal opinion because I don't like any of Mewtwo's forms, and could care less about the starters getting mega evos. Again my main point is that the amount of genwunners went down when XY was released. Setrex 1,031 Posted March 10, 2014 I'll never understand genwunners. When I was a kid Pokemon was obviously huge but I always remember that G/S/C were pretty popular yet a lot of people always just say, "everything was much better with 150 pokemon" (I hate when people ignore Mew). Because of the time Gen 2 came out, it boggles my mind that Genwunners criticise everything after Yellow. Did they suddenly grow up a year later when Gold and Silver came out? o.O I don't hate Gen 1 and I'll always love it for starting this wonderful franchise but I've never seen a genwunner make a strong case as to why it's the best and only good thing about Pokemon. They all just have sparkly nostalgia glasses on. Personally I saw people get tired of the series when Ruby and Sapphire came out but that's just because at the age of 10 people were digging Yugi-oh and stopped watching the Pokemon anime. 1 Dio Brando reacted to this

Totally agree with you buddy I don't hate Gen 1 and I won't hate it but the gens that came after it improved the series so much it's amazing We got awesome Pokemon like Blaziken,Lucario,Excadrill,Mamoswine,Latios,Latias.....etc,and the mechanics got massive improvements especially in X&Y where EV training became so much easier with Super Training If the series got stuck with only 151 Pokemon for over 16 years the Pokemon franchise would've never survived 1 Setrex reacted to this

You can't please everyone but to ignore the changes made in the generations that followed is just pure ignorance. 1 Dio Brando reacted to this
