The armies were at the ready at the barren plains, each wearing their colors. This was it. The final day. The Keyblade war was coming to an end. Many knew that this would be their final hour. That they leave motherless children, husband-less wives. But they knew that their death would be for a greater cause. For the cause of their lord. The great heart would be theirs.

Hikaru Mashima stood at the ready. He looked to his left, and saw Riven. His breath hardened. There was nothing to be afraid of. He was going to survive it. And then he could... He shook his head. He shouldn't jinx it. He looked ahead, and saw the leader, Freed Lerten.

Freed looked over to the other armies. "HEAR ME, KINGS OF NOTHING!"'he screamed. "MANY OF YOU WANT IT FOR YOURSELVES! FOR YOUR OWN SELFISH WAYS!" He lifted his Keyblade, Banner To Dawn. "THIS IS NOT THE WAY!" His charisma was powerful. "THE HEART IS THE HOPES AND DREAMS! AND SO!" He outstretched his hands. "IT MUST BE SHARED!" The other armies looked at him with a sense of confusion.

Rinku didn't care. The empire called on him. He knew who was going to win this. The empire had more. More wielders, more intellect, more everything. Him? He was just serving his time. No more, no less. He lived for nothing. Everything was taken from him. He just wanted this to be over. Emperor Deren Mathis looked at the leader of the outburst .

Deren laughed at the accusation. "Just the thought of that makes me laugh..." He said. "This heart is destined to belong to the kingdom of Celon. Just as the oracles foretold."

Then, to the left was one man and woman. All the other leaders looked at the two expectantly. "This is your army!" Freed yelled. Deren, however, reacted differently. The man snapped his fingers, and the earth rumbled. The earth cracked. Out of the holes, dark creatures protruded from the ground. "We have come for it." The man said. "It is the darkness incarnate. It belongs to us."

The three armies looked at each other, both knowing the power of the other.

This is the final battle.

This is the Wars conclusion.

The fate if the 200000 warriors that shook the world.

These are the stories of those unsung heroes that gave their lives.

Present time:

He closed his eyes. He wanted to shut this out, but he couldn't. "No!" He said. "DONT GO!" He shook Rivens body. "I need you!" The sound of blades and marching boots coming could be heard. "You Bastards!" He screamed, and slashed at the oncoming army. He kept on slashing at the army. He told her about the front lines. But she still wanted to. Tears in his eyes, he kept slashing.

Past:

He had just joined the army. It was a common thing in this town. The Lions had already preserved and protected this town from the Celon empire, and it couldn't be mor grateful. He just recently discovered his keyblade, and that meant he had to go. He had been given all that his mother could give him. Food, check. Money, check. Clothes, check.

He came up to the army station near the town. The registrar looked at him. "Another recruit huh?" He handed him a pen and a slip of paper. It was a typical waiver. He gulped, and wrote his name on it. This would start his new life as part of a soldier of dawn.

RIVEN-

Present:

Her vision was getting blurry. The fireball combined with the stab wounds did that to a person. The blood loss and concussion was getting to her. She felt water droplets on her face, looking up, she saw a figure. He was screaming at her. Her vision was getting blurry. She put her hands on her face. Her memory started to shake in and out. Who was this boy again... He was important, that she knew for sure. If only...

Past:

She ran from the man as fast as she could. If he caught her, that would mean death. He was a monster. That's what mommy said. Like the yellow eyes, she said that's what he truly was. Now mommy was silent on the ground. "-ICH!" The monster said. "GET BACK HERE!"

She hid in the closet. This was mommies safe room. It was made for her. He wouldn't find her.

She was wrong.

RINKU-

Present:

Rinku slashed away at the other enemies with a brutal finesse. He swung his black sword, and more bodies were chopped down

Past:

He was surrounded by the bodies. Another skirmish by the empire. Another day. Another paycheck. He was 19 at the time. He walked off of the battlefield, and got on his horse.

He went home, and opened up the door. Eliza looked at him with wanting eyes. "Will you ever stop?" She said.

The war had been going on for a long time. The Warriors Of Dawn had been fighting for a long time against the Empire. And it was taking its toll.

The Warriors had always been around. A strange mix of soldiers for hire and battle crazy nut-cases, they had gotten behind their Leader, Freed. This was due to his 'share the wealth, believe in the dream' speeches. His men were loyal to a fault, but they lacked numbers. And that's why the band decided to join the empire. End the battle quickly. 'Restore the balance' then get paid. And then he could...

I really like it so far!The mixture of the battle along with flashbacks is very cool, and the way you're filling out characters through your storytelling so far is great! I'm looking forward to seeing more of it. I'd even say you could make the individual segments longer as I find all the characters at least pretty initially interesting, but in any case I'm looking forward to see where this goes and what you may do with the past/present element.

This is very good. :) Keep it up bro! :D

FREED-

Present :

Freed cut through the army. He had powerful strength and magic. His powerful presence was shown in the army, as the army seemed to be stronger, and morale increased by every kill.

Past:

It was a bright day, and the weather was perfect. The Warriors of Dawn marched behind him. He smiled, stopped and turned. "HEAR ME, BRETHREN!" The army stopped.

The army dispersed to build the tents, and unload the food and drink. Celebratory screams were heard. The warriors were of all shapes and sizes. Different backgrounds. But they all strove for one thing. 'The Dream'

Freed sat in the leaders tent with Riven. She was silent. She usually did not speak unless spoken to, and then given the orders to speak.

"Sir?"

A man-no, a boy of moderate strength and size tapped him on the shoulder.

Riven brought her blade to the boys neck. "Easy..." Freed said to her. "We just got this man a couple of months ago. He shouldn't die on this glorious day!" He smiled at her, and nodded her head. Retracting her sword, she went back to sipping her tea.

He got up, and looked at the boy. He seemed disoriented. "What's the problem, soldier?" He pointed to an empty chair.

The boy sat down, and he looked at Riven. He shifted a bit. No reaction from her. "S-sir…" he said. His eyes seemed shaken from the skirmish. "May I ask why we stopped?" He knew of the loss of life in the battle. "Because of the beautiful day, of course!" Freed said, with open honesty.

"But..." The boy trembled. "They died! They died for us! Shouldn't we be-" the boy stopped himself as Freed raised his hand.

"They died, yes. And they have given us this glorious day! Their dream has been passed unto us, and they wanted us to live!" He raised his cup of wine to the sky.

"Their dream?" The boy seemed to not fully understand the concept.

"Yes. Their dream." He nodded. "You must have one, no? We all have one! If you don't, find it! We must find the true dream within ourselves. Then!" He slammed his hands on the deck. "We must follow it!"

"But their dead!" He said. "How can you say their dreams still exist?"

"Because they met you. Or saw you. Or talked to you." He said, in a serious voice. "You, by some means, became a part of their dreams, and they, yours, no matter how significant or insignificant." He took a sip of wine. "So! Don't disappoint them! They have given us this day, so we can rest. So we don't lose our way in battle! So, that when we obtain the heart, you, along with everyone, can fulfill you dream that they have helped forge!" It seemed the whole army cheered for those words.
