Ruby Rose 8,591 Posted January 10, 2014 (Track 01) http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aMm7Oeb1_64 Last time on Kingdom Hearts III: Sora, Donald, and Goofy travel the worlds in search of the 'Key to Unlock Hearts', while Kairi traverses the worlds in order to protect the Princesses of Light as part of her training. All the while, Riku, Lea, and King Mickey infiltrate the Realm of Darkness in an attempt to retrieve Aqua and Ansem the Wise. Though numerous obstacles stand in their way, the trio is able to rescue their lost comrades and return to Radiant Garden with them in tow. While the group rests, strange occurrences have befallen Radiant Garden as two men donning the Organization's coats wreak havoc. Investigating these disturbances, Aqua comes face to face with none other than Master Xehanort and an amnesiac Terra. Through a quick clash between their Keyblades, Aqua is able to successfully jog Terra's memories and restore him to his former self. With Terra back on her side, the two of them engage Master Xehanort in a brief confrontation before the villain flees. Bringing Terra back to the others, their reclaimed ally rests and is given a briefing regarding everything that's happened over the past twelve years. Realizing all the tragedies that have befallen the worlds due to his recklessness, Terra goes on patrol for the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee by himself, in an attempt to be alone with his thoughts... They aren't much different than the Unversed he had fought a dozen years ago, therefore they present little threat to him. What's really bothering Terra are the thoughts haunting his mind, as the awful truth has been presented to him. For years Xehanort has terrorized the worlds and their inhabitants, under a number of guises and vessels including his own. Had he only heeded Aqua's warning all those years ago, or been smart enough not to fall into Xehanort's hands, the worlds could've been spared the ill times that had befallen them because of his foolishness. He had sworn to set things right, and now he could- yet the problems that had plagued the worlds for years now were not simply going to disappear. So many lives had been ruined, and were continuing to be...all because of him. Summoning his Keyblade yet again, he clears the distance between him and them through the use of Slide, then follows up with Sonic Impact to send them flying back! These enemies are slightly stronger than the ones he had just faced, yet fall all the same. No doubt each of them has a specific designation, just like the Unversed of old did, but their names are of no consequence to him. So long as they fall before his blade, that's all that matters. He feels weaker, as if his strength has decreased over the years. No doubt this was certainly a possibility, but it strikes him as odd. He's still strong enough to defeat the enemies presented to him, but it's not the same strength he had possessed all those years ago when he confronted Xehanort. Then again, how strong had he really been? He had been duped and used by numerous people over the course of his travels, tricked into distrusting his friends and fighting his master. ...Master Eraqus... Yet another person who suffered because of his stupidity. Aqua, left to wander the darkness for twelve years- Ven left to await her return, and Master Eraqus...gone forever. All of these occurrences were his fault, the results of his choices. Even more lives had been ruined as well, people Terra didn't even know. Nobodies, Ansem the Wise, Organization XIII, the Princesses of Light- all of them were fine now, but for how long? And what of the pain all of them were forced to bear because of Xehanort? Due to his failing, his successor had been left to battle the darkness that not only threatened the worlds, but the very darkness inside of him. Riku... Had he never given the boy the Keyblade, he could've been spared his current fate...he wouldn't have been used by Xehanort just as Terra had been before him. So many lives ruined...how could he ever atone? How could he set things right? Where would he start? (Track 05) http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Pj5rLHxmGfE A memory surfaces, one from when he met Riku. "To protect the things that matter. You know, like my friends." Terra's eyes widen as the realization hits him. Of course, it was as simple as that. Just as he had said back then, he had people he wanted to protect as well. Only this time would be different- this time he would not fall victim to Xehanort's plot. He would rise above it, and fight to protect his friends; not to exact revenge or even the score. He doubted he could ever make up for his mistakes, but he could at least help solve the current dilemmas that faced the worlds and restore the peace. He would devote his life to bettering the worlds, protecting his friends, and being there for them both. A future where he, Aqua, and Ven could sit around and gaze up at the stars together again...that was what he would strive for. "Terra?" The voice snaps him out of his daze, as it sounds fairly familiar. Slowly, he turns around to face the speaker- his surprise evident upon seeing him. Before him stands a young man, about his height, with silver hair. Despite all the trouble Terra has no doubt caused this individual over the years, the boy still smiles upon seeing him.
