3rd party companies have said they wont develop games for the wii u because they dont want to be bothered with gamepad functionality. But so many of these next gen games that arent on the wii u use the kinect, smartglass, or vita alongside the game just like the gamepad. I just guess when the wii u starts selling better they can come up with some "magical" reason to bring these next gen games to the wii u.

Guess they are just iffy because it hasnt taken off yet, its a hard thing too say out loud, and if they said it was because of lack of sales they would be making an enemy of nintendo, simply because it would encourage the public to think its a bad console, so the best they can say are things like that for now.

 

When it starts selling better game companies would be mad not too. But multiporting is easier with ps 4 and xbox one so its iffy again. Maybe if they released a new version of the wii u that supports the required direct x 11
