Roleplay begins now!  I urge everyone to please read at least up to Ozpin's speech and the message in the parentheses.  Also follow the topic!  You are responsible for keeping up with the roleplay.  Now last but not least, have fun! (:

 

4:00 PM

 

It's been an hour since every student's arrival to Starlight.  Before arrival, each student was instructed to select an eye wear located in the ship's interior to use as an instrument for tutelage.  Now that everyone has settled down quite considerably, they are instructed to wear their chosen eye wear for instructions.

 

Ozpin

"Your reasons for joining the academy, whatever they may be, no longer hold any importance.  You are here today to save your kingdom in this hour of need.  I am sorry for all your losses, but you all must strive to save whatever and whoever's left.  Due to this grueling fact, your kingdom has asked too much of you, requiring you to finish your training in one year, no longer.  Your sheer purpose is to become the best at what you do.  At your time at the academy, you will find that victory does not lie in brute strength, but something else.  You have the rest of the day to prepare, your training begins tomorrow.  You are all dismissed."  And with Ozpin's closing remarks, accompanied an echo in each student's ear, reminding them of the importance of their success.

 

Sky

"Mom...Dad..." Sky repeated to herself.  She had been wording apologies for the past hour, after hearing the horrid new of her parent's demise.  She wasn't sure how to feel anymore, but one thing was for certain: after Ozpin's beautiful speech, she was determined to become a Royal Knight.  Sky stood up from the edge of the fountain in front of the school, making her way to the co-ed lodging.  "I better get some rest."

 

Gen

"Hahaha," Gen laughed dryly.  He rubbed the back of his hair as he tried to cope with the grief.  He bore many inward emotions at this point, mourning in his mind, although outside, it was different.  He had appearances to maintain and certainly crying was not the way to do it. Maybe, I'll just- Gen's thoughts halted at the site of a beauty, one of many most likely, from across the way.  After a couple moments of drooling over the gorgeous girl, he continued his thought, forcing the last couple words out, "-just, talk to some pretty girls like her."

 

(During this day, the day everyone has been accepted as official students of Starlight, everyone will be limited to 10 in-character posts for each character, to prevent any unnecessary bulk/excess posts.  I also don't want too much interaction to happen since it might just prolong the whole day, which isn't really needed.  Also, I don't want people to be discouraged by the innumerable posts.)

 

(For future references, I'll be posting the huge messages that Ozpin will be sending to each student.  When your character actually starts going off on their own, you may take control of Ozpin as the system has programmed responses and such.  Try not to use him too much though.  Also, when I post a huge reply as Ozpin, it usually means something big for the roleplay.)

7:00 AM

*Br-ring, br-ring* Alarmed the clock. Alexander jumped out of bed, It was 7:00 AM. Stretching out, he eyed his blue panda contact case on his desk provided by the school. He walked to the desk and check for any updates from Professor Ozpin. Coincidentally Alexander put his contacts on just in time for Ozpin's speech. His ringing through his ears, Alexander was informed of today's itinerary. "Time to get ready!" he said kicking and punching the air. "I wonder who I'll be matched up with?" the anticipation was killing him but to kill some time he decided to get himself ready.

 

7:30 AM

Alexander got out of his pajamas and took a shower in his room and got dressed in his normal attire. He washed his face, brushed his teeth, and combed his hair. He was bored and since he had n one to talk to like he usually would have he decide to take out his sketchbook and draw. The sketchbook was pasted down from his father, it was the only thing he had left. He decided to take it with him to training maybe his talent would attract people and then he would have someone to talk to, he never felt so alone in such a gargantuan crowd.

It was about 7:30 AM when Ryan finally woke up. His vitals were normal now, but he noticed his partner was gone when he awoke. Deciding it was time to get ready, Ryan headed off into the showers, not really caring if he were cold or not, and took a quick shower, did his normal healthcare work, save for brushing his teeth, waked out and grabbed a muffin and a small carton of milk, consuming that for breakfast, he then brushed his teeth, it was now 7:42. Not really rushing, he made it to the area at about 7:55 and found his locker, placing his weapons in it as per instructions were. He then checked the charts for his sparring partner of the day, reading that it was that Gen guy, Ryan finally decided to go sit down on the bleachers till everyone else in class arrived, somehow doing so at exactly 8:00 AM.

"Tch..Toothpicks are for kids" she flips her pig tails back. Pram hit the fireball with her rapier directing to Alvis and teleports behind him "Watch out" she whispers at his ear as she backed away from him giving a devilish smirk "Dodge this!" Alvis's fireball continues to swoop at him. The child got distracted noticeing she got a blisters on her hand without being cautious she began to heal her self by using her rapier casting a spell with the dusts. She looked at the time "Hmm maybe we should stop after this" she asked herself.

 

(Sorry I got REALLY tierd yesterday I aboslutley had no idea what I was doing)

Pram deflected the fireball and teleported behind him. Alvis's eyes widened. This kid... He then heard someone whisper, "Watch out." He was about to turn around, but the incoming fireball was the main issue. He waited as it got closer... closer... until, at the last second, he punched the fireball with his right gauntlet. The fireball dissipated, leaving behind only a few embers. Alvis was about to turn around to face his opponent when he noticed that the embers fell to the floor and created a small fire. Crap! Alvis quickly started stomping on the flame in an attempt to put it out. After that was done, he turned back to Pram. "Now, where were we?"

 

6:35 AM

 

After Gen's comical encounter with the blonde haired beauty, his morning was complete.  Gen finished his morning routine by dropping off his items and weapon, Ravage Heart in his locker and headed straight for the gym.  He decided to take it easy for the morning, ending up being one of the first ones, if not the first himself, at the sparring structure.  He sat in the corner of the bleachers as he waited for Maine, the only one he really knew... though, if someone did show up early, he wouldn't hesitate to introduce himself to them.

 

6:50 AM

 

After what Sky considered to be the worst morning ever, she took her weapon, Blank Hysteria (dust gloves), a handgun, and her bag and left.  Sky bid Azura ado, heading straight for the locker rooms.  I hope that idiot isn't there when I get there, she thought to herself.

 

6:55 AM

 

Sky made her way there pretty easily, managing to store her gloves tidily and also the handgun, keeping her bag at her side.  After finishing the small task, she looked around, deciding it was better to just wait in the actual building.  Sky walked into the large gymnasium-like place and peered at the bleachers.  To her dismay, it was the pancake stealer himself, sitting in the very corner.  Good, he's in the corner.  Maybe, if I slowly move to this corner, he won't notice.

 

Gen turned towards Sky's direction and found a small girl tippy-toe-ing around the place.  Gen couldn't help but chuckle at the sight.  "Hey!" he yelled, waving his arm from the distance and jogging to her.

 

Oh no, Sky thought, trying to hide her face.  "If I don't make a noise, he'll leave me alone."

"What do you mean?" Gen asked, right behind the girl.

 

The sudden words spoken behind Sky caused her to jump pretty high, yelling "Ah!" in surprise.  Sky landed facing his direction, having to look up to meet his eyes.  "What do you think you're doing?" she asked him, resisting the strongest urge to send him flying off the bleachers.

 

"Just waiting for.. for whatever this is," Gen answered, motioning his hands to emphasize his point.

 

"Hmph, well then keep waiting and leave me alone!" she quickly answered, turning around with her hands crossed.  She took her seat, eyes closed, stubbornly refusing anymore conversation with him.

"Well then..." Alvis sighed. It was only the first day and he already owed someone. Whatever. Alvis bumped his gauntlets together, reverting them back to their ring forms. He took off the rings and dropped them in his pocket. There was no point in using a locker. He then walked into the main room, where a few of the students had already gathered. Alvis stared at the clock: 7:37. He leaned against a nearby wall, waiting for the clock to strike eight.

((About auras, I can't really explain anything yet until everyone gets to the sparring building.  We are continuing on soon, if you still need to post on how you got to the sparring building, use the aids of time stamps.  They are there to help you as well as everyone else.))

 

7:10 AM

 

Gen grew bored sitting behind Sky.  He really wanted to befriend the girl, but she seemed to have a natural hate for him, which only made him more curious.  "Do you hate me?" he asked her.

 

"Yes!  Now leave me alone," she growled at him, moving forward one seat on the bleachers.

 

"Why?" 

 

"Because, you're a male!  I hate your kind.  Die!" she said loudly.

 

"My kind?" he asked.  "What do you mean by that?"

"All boys should die!" Sky pushed Gen, who stood behind her, making him flail and almost fall.

 

"Hey!  Watch it!" He said, regaining his footing.  He continued to pester the girl.  "Any reason why we should all die?"

"All you guys do is care about yourself, selfish pricks.  I'm tired of being disappointed by all of you," she yelled loudly, stomping away.  Although she did not know it, she was slowly revealing crucial information about herself that would help those who she hated possibly understand her though process.

 

I see, Gen thought.  Some people can't keep in their trauma... but at least she isn't in denial like I am.  I'm just avoiding it all together, she's at least trying to work through it.  I wonder if she had some falling out with her dad before she came here...

 

And with that, their conversation ended for the rest of the morning.  Sky waited near the door, sitting on the floor, while Gen sat back at his original corner, occasionally glancing at the blonde.

With everyone's arrival to the sparring building, a facility designed for fighting one on one combats, Ozpin began his monologue.
 
"I welcome you all today to your very first training session.  It is in your best interest to listen to the words I am about to speak as they are crucial to your survival through this school year and also once you have become a Royal Knight.  I want all of your weapons off of your possessions, this will be hand to hand combat.  I normally do not assign this to first year students, much less emotionally traumatized ones, but your very own Royal Knights has asked me to do this.  The rosters are on that table over there, once you have prepared yourselves you may begin.  You have until 11:00 AM to finish your opponent.  There will be prizes for the winners and the losers will suffer consequences.  That is all."
 
And with that, Ozpin had disappeared once again from the students' visions, leaving quite a few of them in disarray.
 
Everyone stood in a large gymnasium with many doors around them that led to narrow, but doable fighting areas.  Each pairing had been assigned to a room to duke it out in hand to hand combat.  Being as there is no one to enforce the rules that Ozpin had laid out for the children, everything relied on an honor system and the expectation that everyone would follow these rules.
 

A sudden announcement went through the air as a new voice, a woman's voice included more of the speech.  "Also, we have provided cuffs for everyone.  You are all to put these cuffs around both hands before sparring.  Not doing so will result in immediate loss.  That is all."

 

"That's Glynda Goodwitch!" Gen yelled.

 

"Everyone knows stupid!" Sky screamed at him from the distance.  Sky shared a disgusting look with Gen, whereas he continued to smile at her, only making her more queasy.

((OOC: So I was PM'd by a friend on how fighting will be happening in an RP and that is a very good question.  I'll be speaking OOC for the rest of this post.

 

The way it works is like this.

• You and the person begin the fight, whether NPC or not.
• Be prepared to reply a lot.
• Keep your replies short so it's easier to respond to.
• None of your attacks make contact against another player, UNLESS they agree to it OOC.  You can do this by PMing or just using parentheses.
• Unless you guys coordinated your fight, you know nothing of how your opponent will respond.
• Like I said earlier, you make attacks, you don't connect them.  That is up to the person being attacked.
• The cuffs everyone is required to wear controls aura, meaning I get to decide how much aura is used, so I can prevent any abusing.  (Will elaborate on this on my next post of Glynda Goodwitch).

Examples:

1. Gen jumped backwards, avoiding Ryan's low sweep kick.  While it was considered a perfect attack, Gen had predicted the pattern earlier and thought ahead.  Gen jumped up, planning to strike Ryan with the attack.

 

Notice that I didn't once take control of Crona's character and his attack didn't make contact because I didn't let it.  Of course that being said, you guys aren't master dodgers, you have to let attacks make contact at some point, or I'll call you out on it.

 

2. Sky hated that her opponent was a guy.  The very idea of it poked at her deepest qualms.  She decided it was best to finish him off before getting to the point of wanting to kill him, but before she could move, Eric Blanc had sent a clean right jab at her.  The nerve of a guy hitting a girl! she thought as she was sent flying to the wall.

 

So that's about it.  Hopefully, I didn't just teach everyone how to roleplay combat/fighting for the first time, but this is how I'd like it to go from now on.  Kay?  Thanks!  Continue!))

Having already found his partner out, Ryan just went and got a set of cuffs for himself, and placed them on. "This'll be fun. That Gen kid barely looks capable in a fight, ha." he thought to himself, then walking into room two. He removed his armor, feeling speed would be a better friend here than his armor.

No weapons? That kills the whole fun of it, Lotus thought as she slipped off her goggles. Lotus looked over to the table, walked over to it and placed her weapon down on it slowly. She didn't like to be separated from her katana when she goes into battle. Now that  I think about it, I dont know who my opponent is exactly. Also, Lotus hasnt exactly spoken to anyone ever since she arrived. Next to the space where she placed her weapon down, there were silver cuffs sitting on on the table for her. She stared at them for a minute before snapping each one onto her wrists. Lotus then looked back to the other students in the gymnasium and went to door 9, where she was assigned to in the instructions. She went down a small and dull hall which lead to a somewhat roomy space with metal walls and no windows. Lotus walked further in before turning around and waiting for her opponent to enter, keeping her eyes glued to the door

Gen stood up and looked at the boy already eyeing him out.  He looked at the list to read a Ryan Whin on it.  So I'm guessing that's him, Gen thought, grabbing the cuffs and putting them on.

 

Another announcement went through the place.  "Once you and your opponent are ready, you may begin on your corresponding numbered room down the different hallways on the floors.  There are thirteen.  There are no boundaries and no rules.  All you have to do is knock your opponent out yourself, if that means killing them, then that is how it is," Glynda said, from wherever she was.

 

Sky began to shiver at the last part of Glynda's announcement.  "Killing?" she thought.  Although she did feel a strong urge to eradicate all males from existence, she still felt very awry about the actual mention of killing outside of her own context.  Sky got up and approached the table of cuffs.

7:30 am

Ayano finished her shower and getting ready, she didn't eat knowing she'd end up being late. She ran to the locker room, managing to remember her combination....and by this time it was...

7:50 am.

"I'm gonna be laattteee!!!" she thought, grabbing her weapon Kurai Moon.

By 7:55, she made it too the gym. Obviously tired and stressed out. 8:00....Ozpin's speech began.

"I want all of your weapons off of your possessions, this will be hand to hand combat."

"What?!" she cursed under her breath, clenching her fist. There was no way she was going to be able to do this.

"The losers will suffer consequences."

Ayano gulped. What kind of consequences?

She looked over at Sky, the girl who yelled and sighed. Sora wasn't here yet so she had nobody to talk too. Ayano slowly stepped beside her, a bit nervous to talk to someone.

"Hand-to-Hand combat. Losers will suffer consequences. Do you think you'll lose?" she asked, looking at her.

"I'm Ayano Keirako...and one of my friends is named Sora Takagi. She isn't here however...." Ayano said with a forced nervous smile on her face.

No weapons? That kills the whole fun of it, Lotus thought as she slipped off her goggles. Lotus looked over to the table, walked over to it and placed her weapon down on it slowly. She didn't like to be separated from her katana when she goes into battle. Now that  I think about it, I dont know who my opponent is exactly. Also, Lotus hasnt exactly spoken to anyone ever since she arrived. Next to the space where she placed her weapon down, there were silver cuffs sitting on on the table for her. She stared at them for a minute before snapping each one onto her wrists. Lotus then looked back to the other students in the gymnasium and went to door 9, where she was assigned to in the instructions. She went down a small and dull hall which lead to a somewhat roomy space with metal walls and no windows. Lotus walked further in before turning around and waiting for her opponent to enter, keeping her eyes glued to the door

"No weapons...Sounds fun" said to himself. Maine went over to the table and placed his weapons on it, and cuffed himself with the the cuffs that could suppress his aura's, "And not a lot of aura to use either...Fun" talking to himself in a bored tone. Hmm..Better get going before I keep up my opponent waiting, Maine thought.

Finally arriving at the room number 9, Maine slowly walks into the room, and looking up he was soon greeted with another pair of eyes staring down at him.. A female Now this will be really fun? Maine thought. "I hope, I didn't keep you waiting" Maine said casually, but with a hint of bored tone to his words.

Gen stood up and looked at the boy already eyeing him out.  He looked at the list to read a Ryan Whin on it.  So I'm guessing that's him, Gen thought, grabbing the cuffs and putting them on.

 

Another announcement went through the place.  "Once you and your opponent are ready, you may begin on your corresponding numbered mats on the floor.  There are thirteen.  There are no boundaries and no rules.  All you have to do is knock your opponent out, if that means killing them, then that is how it is," Glynda said, from wherever she was.

 

Sky began to shiver at the last part of Glynda's announcement.  "Killing?" she thought.  Although she did feel a strong urge to eradicate all males from existence, she still felt very awry about the actual mention of killing outside of her own context.  Sky got up and approached the table of cuffs.

Aftrer Ozpin's announcement Pram didn't brag about not using her weapons in this training session she put her weapons in storage in the table with the rest and she looked at the cuffs and grabbed them and snap her cuff on her wrist without pain despite of her skinny wrist she was able to be friends with the cuffs. "Well here goes for nothing." she muttered .She remembered something earlier what Ozpin said and it gave her chills down her spine then she shook her head nodding.  walks to the room she was assigned to as she looked at her surroundings she walked in the nearest dark corner she can find and sat there in the shadow waiting for her opponent.

Lotus just stared at the guy as he walked in, not changing her plain expression. "By the looks of it, you seem rather bored in someway but don't worry." She took a stance. "I'll make this quick." Lotus squeezed her fists to crack her knuckles and dashed of from where she was standing and towards him, not giving any time to stare. Within a second she was right in front of Maine, swinging her foot to his jaw

Pax could barely open his eyes, ridden with sleep. He pushed himself up into a sitting position, stretching his arms upward in a long yawn. He looked to the side at the clock sitting on the night desk to him. The time displayed on the glass screen pushed him straight out of bed.

 

"Great, I'm late!"

"I'll make this quick" Was the last thing, Maine heard before he was soon kicked at the jaw. And within mere seconds he was on the floor, but he quickly got up and got into his battle stance. Woah, she sure is fast, and she also have a hard kick, he thought to himself as he rubbed his jaw. "Alright then", Maine quickly ran up to her, attempting to strike with his left palm.
