Starlight's Royal Knights [RWBY RP]

Posted

This is the thread for the roleplay.  Sign-ups are here: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/61360-starlights-royal-knights-rwby-rp-sign-ups/

Roleplay begins now!  I urge everyone to please read at least up to Ozpin's speech and the message in the parentheses.  Also follow the topic!  You are responsible for keeping up with the roleplay.  Now last but not least, have fun! (:

4:00 PM

It's been an hour since every student's arrival to Starlight.  Before arrival, each student was instructed to select an eye wear located in the ship's interior to use as an instrument for tutelage.  Now that everyone has settled down quite considerably, they are instructed to wear their chosen eye wear for instructions.

Ozpin
"Your reasons for joining the academy, whatever they may be, no longer hold any importance.  You are here today to save your kingdom in this hour of need.  I am sorry for all your losses, but you all must strive to save whatever and whoever's left.  Due to this grueling fact, your kingdom has asked too much of you, requiring you to finish your training in one year, no longer.  Your sheer purpose is to become the best at what you do.  At your time at the academy, you will find that victory does not lie in brute strength, but something else.  You have the rest of the day to prepare, your training begins tomorrow.  You are all dismissed."  And with Ozpin's closing remarks, accompanied an echo in each student's ear, reminding them of the importance of their success.

Sky
"Mom...Dad..." Sky repeated to herself.  She had been wording apologies for the past hour, after hearing the horrid new of her parent's demise.  She wasn't sure how to feel anymore, but one thing was for certain: after Ozpin's beautiful speech, she was determined to become a Royal Knight.  Sky stood up from the edge of the fountain in front of the school, making her way to the co-ed lodging.  "I better get some rest."

Gen
"Hahaha," Gen laughed dryly.  He rubbed the back of his hair as he tried to cope with the grief.  He bore many inward emotions at this point, mourning in his mind, although outside, it was different.  He had appearances to maintain and certainly crying was not the way to do it. Maybe, I'll just- Gen's thoughts halted at the site of a beauty, one of many most likely, from across the way.  After a couple moments of drooling over the gorgeous girl, he continued his thought, forcing the last couple words out, "-just, talk to some pretty girls like her."

(During this day, the day everyone has been accepted as official students of Starlight, everyone will be limited to 10 in-character posts for each character, to prevent any unnecessary bulk/excess posts.  I also don't want too much interaction to happen since it might just prolong the whole day, which isn't really needed.  Also, I don't want people to be discouraged by the innumerable posts.)

(For future references, I'll be posting the huge messages that Ozpin will be sending to each student.  When your character actually starts going off on their own, you may take control of Ozpin as the system has programmed responses and such.  Try not to use him too much though.  Also, when I post a huge reply as Ozpin, it usually means something big for the roleplay.)

"Right... My losses." Ryan grabbed the crown off of the side of his arm.

"The Navy Blue of this crown and it's shape together symbolizes our family lineage as great fighters in general and in specific for us, Royal Knights. Wear it with pride, but never forget: we are great warriors, yes, yes, we're soldiers, front men protecting the innocent and peaceful, and though we think we deserve more than others, but really, we're people, just the same as them. Keep yourself humble, and help whenever you can, we're representatives of the R.K. and as such are expected to be role-models' and great fighters. Also, never take your lineage or anything else life has provided you with for granted. They're all tools and friends to help you become better as a person, or as a fighter... If you use 'em right."

His father's voice echoed to him in his mind when he recalled a few days after the day his mother died when rouge R.K.'s who were kicked out went looking for something to do, deciding to use him as target practice, but having his mom take the shots for him. "Right. I'll not let you down, mom, dad." He placed the symbol back on his arm, and looked at the beautiful school of Starlight Academy. Deciding it was too nice a day to go and sit in a small student door room, Ryan looked for, and found a nice, shady tree-which also happened to be an apple tree-and he decided to pick an apple, sit down by the trunk, and relax, taking a bite out of the apple.

Azura blinked a couple times, not quite comfortable with the contacts yet. The image of her parents lying on the hospital bed in fatal condition, made her impatient about waiting for training. After hearing Ozpin's speech, Azura looked at every student's weapons around her. Some of them looked complicated, while others seem simple. Brushing passed everyone, Azura went down the hallway, up the stairwell, and found herself on a big balcony. "Wow! Look at this view!" She cried. Leaning against the railing, she closed her eyes as the breeze blew gently at her hair. 'If training goes well, I will be able to fight those Grimms!' Azura thought happily to herself.

Pram walked around the fountain thinking how the training will go she nodded "I wonder if anyone thinks i'm weird for skipping two grades ahead. heh, they might think i'm a weirdo.." she replied with a grin on her lips. She looked around with an astonished look on her face it made her feel nostalgic by looking at the fountain that looks a lot like the back yard of her old parents house. "Father...". the poor child replied in a whisper breathy voice.

She turned her head over her shoulder and saw some people near the fountain and then she turned to her right side and saw an older kid near a tree. she ignore the people around her and just sit in a bench stone reading a book given by her father.

Gen

Gen walked towards Sky, preparing to unleash his - what he considered - devilish looks and intricately woven words at the unsuspecting girl.  But something else caught his eye, a girl sitting on a bench reading a rather charming looking book.  Maybe I should have a crack at her first, hm, he pondered, slowly approaching their general direction and settling down on the bench.  He smoothly sat down next to Pram, immediately unleashing one of his terrible pick up lines.  "Hey, the name's Gen.  I heard you were missing something in your life, I'm here to fix that."  Before the girl could respond, he kept on with his sexual attack.  "And with the addition of me, you're life's complete."  He smile at her, now waiting for a response.

Sky

Sky marched away from the fountain, too fast for Gen to catch up anyways.  In her immediate line of sight was a person running into the building.  Interested by the sudden rush, she followed closely behind, but was left in the dust.  She stopped in front of the entrance of the building, where she saw the same girl emerge from the building just above.  Maybe I should make some friends, might get my mind off things.  Sky brought her left hand down, pointing her palm on the ground.  The symbol on her glove began to glow as she created a magic circle beneath her, pushing her just enough to land on top of the balcony as cleanly as possible.  "Well, hi there.  You interest me, what's your name?  I'm Sky!" she said, a bit too loudly to the girl, forcing a fake smile and sticking her right hand out.

"Losses. Right." Syfe muttered to himself, turning around after Ozpin finished his pleasant speech. He of course saw Ozpin through his custom glasses. They were now prescription, and could communicate with Ozpin. Syfe pain little mind to the other students as he began walking to his quarters. However, he couldn't help but notice a bot, maybe a little older than he, trying to hit on a girl. His pick-up line was of course quite horrid, and Syfe couldn't help but make that clear to him. "Cough, hopeless, cough." Syfe spoke directly at the guy (Gen), with no attempt at subtlety.

Azura jumped at the sudden appearance of a girl who introduced herself as Sky. Azura laughed as she noticed Sky trying to force a smile. Shaking Sky's hand, Azura answered, "I'm Azura, and you don't have to smile like that, it makes you look kinda weird." Azura was a little curious about why Sky would just appear to her because Azura interest Sky, "So what do you mean when you said I interest you?" She asked.

Maine was simply walking around outside of the Academy wondering how tomorrows training will go. Odd you would be thinking a teen such as himself would be grieving over his loss ones or planning a revenge of some sort to deal with the situation, no..Maine wasn't like that of any sorts, he would just move on with his life not thinking to much of the past. Maine soon stumble upon a large tree, and lean against it, once more thinking about tomorrow trainings. "I wonder if we are going to be paired up in teams" he thought to himself, his eyes scanning around the wide range of unique student's. Maine began to slowly to drift off into a small sleep "Maybe I'll just rest here for a, bit", he said to himself...Knowing full well that tomorrow would be a long day.

Pram noticed a young man came by and sat next her she felt uncomfortable as she moved away from him. she sighed closing her book and placed it on her lap . "That was the worst introduction ever!" She raised her eyebrow with a mean look. "My name is Pram and thank you for the short conversation now can you please go away?" She demanded. Before the young man respond she simply grabbed her book and walk away gracefully without a word and sat in the bench across him.

Lotus adjusted her newly obtained silver goggles, loosening it and tightening it to fix just right. Once she was done, she slipped it off her face and let it sit around her neck. She just wanted to get all of this done so she can go back to her family's estate and prove how much stronger of a huntress she's become. They've already told her she was talented enough for her age but Lotus thought otherwise. ailure wasn't an option. Well I might as well make myself familiar with this place,  she thought as she started walking around the Academy. As she passed by, people were already chilling around various parts of the place. Lotus just frowned, wondering how people can get so easily tired after just arriving. "Although I do have to admit, this place almost looks as good as back home..." She muttered to herself and just kept making herself familiar with her surroundings

Sky

"I'm Azura, and you don't have to smile like that, it makes you look kinda weird."

"Is it that noticeable?" she asked Azura, who continued her thoughts.

"So what do you mean when you said I interest you?" she asked.

"Haha, it's just I love your hair!  And your jacket!"  Sky moved closer to Azura, touching the jacket without permission.  After a couple seconds of doing this, Sky realized how awkward the situation had become and stopped herself from further humiliation.  She slowly straightened her posture and took a nice, deep breath, regaining her usually calm composure.  "I'm sorry about that, I'm just not used to talking to people as much."  She looked to her side, her eyes fidgeting and immediately bowing in front of the stranger.  "I'm sorry!  I just want a friend!  Will you be my friend, Azura!" she yelled, in the bowed down state.  This was probably one of the only times she would reveal a normal side to her, but with boys, it was a completely different situation.

Gen

"Uh-Uh, wait!" he panicked as the girl left the bench.  The goggles on his face slipped down as he struggled to stand up.  Realizing it was a lost effort, he turned around to find the blond hair beauty he had seen earlier, but she was already gone.  "Stupid!" he yelled, how else was he supposed to suppress the latent feelings in his mind?  This was the only way he knew how.  "Where am I supposed to find another nice, quirky girl to talk to?" Gen said to himself, mimicking Jaune's lines unknowingly.  He looked at the boy trying to make fun of him, but wrote him off as a nuisance.  He was already feeling bad as it is, he didn't need someone else to point it out.  He scoffed Syfe off, looking around for a more competent person to talk to, seeing boy resting on a large tree.  Maybe he can entertain me a bit.  He looks pretty capable himself.  Gen marched to the tree, resting his hand on the stump, causing leaves to fall down on the resting boy.  "Hey there, the name's Gen.  Wanna talk a bit?" he asked, a bit more down to earth.  Maybe it was just easier to talk to a guy or maybe he was just naturally flirty, regardless, this interaction would probably bear more fruitful than his previous one.

Walking toward the place of gathering Alexander reminded himself why he was here and what he had to do. He wanted to present himself as a strong willed leader with no fears. This was a hard thing to do considering his current nightmares. Each one was a worse and worse reliving of the fatal night he lost his parents. He knew he had to stay strong after ll half the people here had gone through the same thing. Gathering his thoughts, Alexander realized that his blue contacts altered his true golden hazel eyes into a crystal pool of aqua almost like the dust he used in his sword. He decided to sit down at the fountain taking taking out his note/sketch book composing a to-do list.

' To~do List

1) Meet some friends after all your going to need some.

2) Get familiar with the campus...'

Maine opens one of his eye to the male that calls himself, Gen. Maine sigh's a bit wishing he could have not been rudely awoken, he also wishes that he could just walk away from the situation, but whats the point? He might as well just get this small talk over with, and quickly find another resting spot. Hopefully, Gen would just get bored of him and move on with another person to bother. Maine dust off the leaves that was fallen on him. Maine's eyes are fully open at, Gen looking straight at him with a bored look on his face. "Talk about what?", he said with a bored tone.

She nodded at Sky's question about her smile. Then Azura stared as Sky touched her jacket saying a variety of compliments. Usually Azura would whack anyone who touched her jacket, but Sky was just trying to be friends with her. That's when Sky started bowing down. Feeling immediate pity for Sky by the sudden action, Azura waved her arms frantically. "Sky! You don't have to bow, of course I'll be friends with you!" Azura put her hand on Sky's shoulder. "Just be yourself, I'm sure you'll make tons of friends," She pointed her finger down at the fountain area where various people were hanging out. "Like those people down there."

The child continues reading feeling bad for the guy but she was completely distracted by the book "Then the red dragon dived in the volcano and the blue dragon flew above the sky" She stopped reading and thought how the book was completely child like fairy tale story. She paused for a moment she turned to the other side of the page and wrote "colors". She placed a book mark on the page she stopped reading and closed it observing around her and she stand up deciding to go for walk and left her book sitting in the bench stone.

Gen

"Well, first off, what's your name?" Gen asked him, hovering over the boy.  From what he gathered, Maine was a pretty quiet person, that probably valued his sleep more than this rude awakening.  Even so, Gen wanted to at least try to converse with the boy, maybe ask him who his roommate was.  "Hey, I was wondering what room number you had for the dorms?  I have room 1 on the first floor with some guy named, Maine," he told the boy, not knowing that he was Maine.

(If anyone reads this post, you can pick your roommate if you're first to act. (:  Has to be the same gender.  He/She can be someone else's character, yours, just a random character, or not have any roommate at all.)

Sora looked at students as they gathered their eyewear. Her own goggles around her neck, she had been sent to ensure people had their eyewear and had no problems. She made sure everyone had one silently, then stepped off the ship behind him. She tugged her collar absently, polishing the emerald heart with her thumb.

Seeing people, she just started to walk. The exchange wouldn't be too long...she would see Aellyn soon.

Sora kept walking, watching everyone interact. Almost like her first day, all that time ago.

If, Maine wasn't full awakened before by the rudeness of Gen, then he is now after hearing the last sentence that had just came out of Gen mouth. Maine once again sighed by this shocking news...Looks like he will be my roommate and partner for the rest of the year, I might as well deal with it. After dealing with the thoughts in his mind, Maine quickly gather himself in reality, and closed his eyes once more. "Well consider yourself lucky, Gen...I am the one called, Maine." He spoke with a more casual voice instead of his more bored tone before.

"You sure?" Sky asked her with curious eyes.  Of course she was right, Sky only had to be herself to make people's acquaintances, but Sky could not help but doubt.  The only times she were truly confident about herself were around guys.  She felt stronger around the opposite gender due to unknown reasons, but maybe it was due to her acting more of a male than a female.  Sky thought of a question to ask Azura, reaching inside her pockets for some paperwork, to no avail.  She began to look worried, scuffling through her pants and humiliating herself even more by reaching inside them.  Although it wasn't very rational to look inside her pants, she couldn't help but feel antsy at this fact.  "Hey, what are your plans for the dorm rooms?  I sort of lost my dorm schedule, I really hope I can find my roommate!" she asked worriedly.

Conversation. On the other side of the tree, a man who called himself Gen was talking with the other person who was trying to sleep on that side of the tree named Maine. "Hey, at least they're not depressing. I wonder if any of the rooms are outside? I hope. I'm not us to sleeping indoors anymore." Ryan thought, looking around the area, he saw no such rooms and sighed. "Room twenty-three. I wish I wasn't stuck inside the rooms." Ryan sighed, standing up, he walked past Gen and the Maine, saying "Don't try too hard there, lady killer." as he past Gen and Maine, deciding it would be good to get to practicing. He went up to his room, where his stuff was already set up since they who run the school decided to send it ahead. Going into his wardrobe, he pulled the backing off of it and pulled out his blade, it's gleaming emerald-colored blade showed in the dim lights of the room. Removing the blade, he checked all of it's functions, and then took the handle, opened the two compartments, and loaded five bricks of Dust into each side, putting the rest in a small black container and placing it on his person, but it was in such a way that it was hidden.

"Perfect. My weapon's still in great condition, and I have plenty of Dust. Now... what mode do I want to work in today...?" He pondered, each mode had it's advantages, Katana mode would allow him to practice higher-speed movement and dual wielding, gauntlet mode would allow him to practice his hand to hand effectively, as well as his martial arts so he wouldn't get rusty, and his Buster Sword mode was good for training on how to handle high-speed movement and momentum. He sat on his bed pondering this.

After listening to Ozpin's speech, Alvis looked around to make sure that no one was looking at him. Then he removed his shades and replaced his eyepatch over his left eye. He then took out his pocket watch and checked the time. "It's four... looks like I have some time to kill." He then looked around to see various students sitting, talking, hanging out. That kind of stuff wasn't really his thing. He then thought about how most -- if not all -- of them had lost their families and friends at the hands of the creatures of Grimm V2. He then thought about his own parents. Where were they? Were they alive or dead? 'I don't care,' Alvis thought. He then started to wonder if he should be disturbed that the fact that he would thing such a thing.

Quickly pushing these thoughts asides, Alvis pocketed his watch, straightened his tie, and began to wander about the grounds. He considered going to his room -- lucky number 13 -- but then something caught his eye. It was a book lying on a bench. It had a bookmark in it. Looking around, Alvis sat down on the bench, picked up the book, and began to read.

Azura raised her eyebrows. "Now that you mention it, I didn't look at my dorm schedule since I got here." Taking the schedule out from her back pocket, she read her schedule out loud: "Room Number: 11/Roommate: Sky Schnee." Azura looked up from her schedule and smiled. "We're roommates!" Azura was joyful about this considering Sky would proabably be nervous if she was paired up with a stranger.

Pram showed up behind him unexpectdly "What are you doing?" she replied crossing her arms as the young man shockly jumped out of horror. "What did you thought about the book? Was it intresting?" she said fliping her patch up, he noticed her different color eyes observed him with mean look. "Good he's not the other guy from before.." she muttered.

Alvis jumped up in shock when he heard a girl's voice behind him saying "What are you doing?" Alvis then realized that this girl must be the owner of the book. He gave a quick bow and returned the book to her. "S-sorry. I was just looking at it." She then asked, "What did you think about the book?" Alvis scratched his head and replied, "Well, I didn't get too far, but I think things were getting interesting." The girl flipped up her eyepatch, revealing that her eyes were different colors. 'So, you're like me...' Alvis thought. He then noticed that the girl was scowling at him. He quickly turned away. "S-so... I'm Alvis. What's your name?"

(Goodbye...its pointless to be here now....) Alexander thought with a slight sigh. He was listening to music through his earbuds, with a book next to him, simply sitting on the other side of a bench that started to get a little loud. A bit of flirting and now mild arguing. Alexander picked up his book, turned up the volume on his music, and walked away without a word. His weapon was in its chain form, most of it in his pocket and the rest hanging down the side of his pants. The 'special eyewear' from Ozpin was just one contact he was wearing only on his right eye, which was almost always covered by his bangs anyway. Alexander left and walked away without a sense of where exactly he was going.Yumiko was struck with awe, running around Starlight aimlessly. Her bow and quiver latched to her back, she began looking at others' weapons too. They were all more than what they seem to be at first impression though, so she found it to be a lost cause and continued running around. "Woow, this place is huge! Maybe I should take some nice pictures or something...." Yumiko uttered to herself, glancing up the huge main building. "I wonder who I'm bunking with too. Hopefully someone nice."

Alvis jumped up in shock when he heard a girl's voice behind him saying "What are you doing?" Alvis then realized that this girl must be the owner of the book. He gave a quick bow and returned the book to her. "S-sorry. I was just looking at it." She then asked, "What did you think about the book?" The child received her book back and holds it "It's okay i'm not mad.....I-I thought you were going to steal my book away from me. You see...my father gave it to me before he was murderd." She she smiled and replied in a calm voice, her smile faded once you noticed "The book is about dragons, haha I know is a book for kids but I am pretty young to read it myself I just feel i'm just too smart to read such a book that why I left it without bringing it with me, maybe I have a strong bond with it since is the last piece of memory from my father....Oh and my name is Pram is very nice to meet you Alvis!" she bows gracefully.
