Would you buy a PS4 or Xbox One mainly to play KHIII?

That IS why I got a PSP...

 

Other games would be really nice,  though.

Well I was gonna get a PS4 anyway but for other games as well mostly InFamous Second Son and of course Final Fantasy XV along with Kingdom Hearts 3 and maybe other games that haven't been announced yet.  I'm also waiting to see if they will have a bundle for the PS4 and Kingdom Hearts 3 lol

KHIII sold PS4 to it. Of course, FFXV looks great, too.

I would never buy a PS4 just for KH3. I am, however, buying a PS4 for KH3 and Nomura's mainline Final Fantasy title. Ah who am I kidding, I'd buy it even if FFXV didn't exist

I would buy a PS4 because it's region free, a favored console in Japan which means many games made for that console, and having a variety of games I want for the console.  KHIII only accounts for a sliver of those reasons.

ps4 $400. xbox1 $500. Do the math.

I probably would, but thankfully it hasn't quite ever come to that.

That is why I got my 3DS, PSP, and Gameboy loland I WAS going to buy the PS3 because of 1.5 but I'm gonna wait for the PS4 and possibly stream 1.5 and 2.5 via Gaikai

My rule for console buying is that it needs to have at least 10 games that I want and the console that is the best value as well (in terms of price/power/policies in this generation)

Three times have I been forced by the great and powerful Kingdom Hearts to purchase a new gaming platform...you might say I am one of those who are royally pissed off at the amount of system jumping the series does. But to answer your question... yes I will be getting a ps4 instead of a car...

It's pretty much what made it sure that I'd get a PS4.

That's the whole reason I got a 3DS

Of course. Emphasis on "mainly", as I also really want to play FFXV and Star Wars Battlefront. (and this is just the announcement lineup! Imagine how much other cool stuff will come out for it over the years!) 

 

Over the years, I've made the decision to focus which system(s) I buy strictly on which KH game is coming out. That, in turn, opens me up to many other great titles too.

 

• Got PSP for BBS, was able to play Dissidia FF, and Crisis Core.
• Bought 3DS for DDD, was able to play awesome games Like OoT, Kid Icarus, the DS KH titles, and Theatrythm.
• Bought PS3 for HD remasters, can now play God of War, Bioshock, and Portal 2, among other great games.

Every system I buy for KH is worth every penny, especially when it opens me up to other great titles. It's so worth it!

It's ridiculous to get a 400 or 500 dollar console for 1 single game. If you buy a console you need to have quite a few games in mind.

I would have to think about it, mostly cause of the price point. Dropping $400+ on a new console in order to spend $60 more dollars is a sobering proposition. I have only ever bought platforms for a single game (usually a Nintendo one) when they were cheap.

I got a PSP for BBS, but a friend of mine gifted me FFVII: Crisis Core, and I really enjoyed that as well, even though I didn't know the storyline. It's fairly cheap, so if you're looking for games, I'd recommend it.

Haha yes! The PS4 is definitely worth it! Although I'll probably be getting FFXV first.

There'll always be other games that I want for that console or handheld, but KH was always the main reason. That happened to me with the PSP and 3DS. I wanted a lot of the other games, but KH was the one that pushed me to really get the system

No, I don't buy consoles for just one game. This is why I didn't buy a PSP. And look who's laughing now? HD 2.5 ReMIX!

I bought a 3ds only for kingdom hearts and i still only have 2 games on my 3ds 

I would buy PS4 for KHIlI
