Not many can tell, but demons run amuck in this world. Only a select few can see them; and an even smaller number keep them contained. However, such is done under selfish purposes. The Organization of Demon Death Sentences (ODDS) seeks to destroy every demon they can to harvest the powerful, multi-purpose energy they release: deimya. The latest member to the Organization, Akito Naizaka, shows great promise... and innocence. It is yet to be seen how much ODDS will be able to manipulate him.

Weight- 34 kg (wow...75 pounds...my weight in kilograms....)

Height- 149 cm

Appearance- Kotori is rather small sized. She has silver, straight waist length hair and rather pale skin. Her eyes are a bright blue and become dim in her demon stage. Kotori has a normal shaped bust and is rather thin. She wears a white tank-top with lace aligning the top. Over the tank-top a black v-neck shirt that is rather long and has short sleeves. She wears a black mid-thigh length skirt and white knee-high socks with black slip on shoes. Kotori also wears a white hoodie and the sleeves reach to her elbows. The hood has rabbit fur on the inside. She also has a chained necklace with a silver rose on it.

 

Biography- Kotori was born in the middle of a heavy blizzard. Her mother was young, and after Kotori's birth, her mother became very sick. At the age of three, her mother died, and her father put Kotori up for adoption. Kotori was adopted to the Motoyo family at the age of five. A raid of demons raid her family when she was ten, and she was attacked. It took her about a week until she figured out she had turned into a demon. The Motoyo family was dead, and she was a demon. Kotori started working for an organization where she has found little hope in finding her real parents.

Personality- Kotori is the mixture of a Dandere, Tsundere and Yandere/Yangire. She can be childish, and serious. Kotori can be rather unemotional at times, it just takes time for her to warm up to people.

Weapon- Kotori ranges in weapons. She is mastered in a white blade with a black, well designed handle. The handle has black roses and thorns crawling up it.Her alternate weapons are just some black daggers with the same design as her sword handle.

Abilities- Kotori can control darkness, and she can control ice. She has mild teleportation and in circumstances she has empathy with people.

"Don't mess this up, Akito." The voice ringed through his earpiece as he rounded the corner into the alley.

 

"I get it." He replied. "First mission and everything, I've trained hard enough, you know I'm the strongest of the rookies."

 

"But it's just that: rookie. You don't the know the strength of what you're facing."

 

With that, the wrinkled, broad-shouldered beast crashed in front of Akito, it's round head faceless save for the gaping jaws. It let out an anguished roar. "You were saying?" He pulled the small cylinder out of his pocket. It looked like a chap-stick bottle in size, he pressed the side and it immediately extended into a six foot staff. "As for you" he said, his attention directed toward the demon. The wretched monster swung a club-like arm at his opponent. Akito quickly ducked under and stabbed the demon in its armpit, reeling back in pain, the monster let out an another anguished roar, Akito took his opportunity and stabbed the beast through its skull. The roar stopped. His staff returned to Compact Mode and was promptly stored in his pocket. The demon fell to the ground. "Target eliminated. I'll eave the filtering to you." Akito said as he made his way across the rest of the alley.

Kotori walked quickly, a lot of people couldn't see her however. She stopped and hid at the corner of a building once she heard a voice.

"I get it...First mission and everything. I've trained hard enough you know. I am the strongest rookie." the voice said.

Kotori kept listening, she heard the entire battle. This was a member of the ODDS. It was just a couple of more steps until a sword was at Akito's throat.

"Look. A little ODDS member. A rookie out of all. I guess you know what I am so...Come and get me little boy~" Kotori taunted.

Quickly and unsteadily, she used her teleportation to appear a distance behind Akito, and she began to run, leaving a trail of ice behind her.

Kotori wasn't going to make this easy.

"It's one of them, stop her!"

 

Akito quickly turned around. Ice? He pulled out Nightmare Ender and quickly extended it. A blast of magic shot out of the tip toward the trail of ice. Akito dashed through the smoke and followed what was left of the trail. "What the heck is going on?" He demanded of his commanding officer. Nothing. Something must've been jamming the signal. "Guess the rookie's on his own now."

"Aww...you lost your signal...didn't you?" Kotori asked teasingly.

When she fought, Kotori was not herself.

As the smoke cleared, An Ice-like dome circled around Akito and her.

"Ice. My main element. Some demons have powers you know..." Kotori said bluntly, using her teleportation to appear behind Akito now.

"I bet you have no magical powers." she whispered in the rookie's ear.

Suddenly, a dagger stabbed Akito's shoulder blade thanks to Kotori's smaller weapon.

"Why don't you fight me now little boy?" she asked.

Akito stumbled away from the blade. Pulling a small vile from his pocket, he flicked off the cap and quickly drank the contents. He refined demon essence repaired his wound. He moved into a fighting stance, facing the newcomer. "You're... A demon?" He hoped not. It'd be a shame to slay such a pretty face.

Kotori gave a smirk, then Akito said his idiotic term. She couldn't help but burst out laughing.

"You just now realized that?" she said bluntly, her laughing coming to a stop.

"I am a demon~" Kotori snapped, using her telepathy to teleport behind Akito again.

She quickly grabbed the essence.

"A demon essence. Who gave this to you, your boss?" she asked, using her ice powers to freeze the vile.

She's a tough one. Akito thought to himself. Looks like I will have to ruin that adorable face.

 

"My tools are of no importance to you!" He declared, pressing a button on his staff, changing it to Reaper Mode. His face was serious, his voice: cold and heartless. "Meet your Death Sentence." He darted forward, swinging his scythe around before bringing it down on his enemy.

Kotori jumped back, hissing in pain.

"Why would I do that?" she asked, wielding her blade.

When Akito swung next, Kotori blocked it.

"Watch where you step~" she said, ice forming below her steps.

Akito slipped on the ice, but he used that opportunity to get low and swing at the demon's legs. If he could incapacitate it, that'd create an opening for a finishing blow. He'd have to keep his distance however, the ice would throw him off and open him up to its blade. He'd have to take advantage of the scythes long reach.

(Ha ha ha, Akito slipped~)

 

Kotori was hit, her left leg had a gash in it caused by Akito, and Kotori fell to the ground.

The Ice Dome around the two faded, the ice below the two quickly evaporating away.

"Damn it..." She hissed, grabbing her pistol.

It was loaded, and she could shoot at any time.

"If you drop the weapon, you will win, if you don't, I will shoot, making me win." She said actually rather quietly.

Akito could have easily cast something to finish it but he hesitated. Why couldn't finish this demon? It... She was just another chaos seeker needing to put in its... her place. It... she was... Akito sighed, pressing a button, Nightmare's End compressed into Compact Mode. He dropped it to the ground. "Alright, it's my job to kill demons. But you seem to have a bone to pick with me. Since on your terms, I won, why don't you give me some answers?"

"Spit them out. And I have questions for you..." Kotori answered, however she was rather quiet.

She put the gun down, then putting all of her weapons up.

"One....who are you. Your name, your age, ect..." She said.

"Two...why did you not kill me....anyone else would have just killed me." Kotori said, rather quietly.

Akito eyed the demon, he had recited this information to commanding officers numerous times. "Akito Naizaka, age 15, rank D. D meaning I just got out of training. You interfered with my first mission actually. The reason I chose not to destroy you is because you held me at gun point, you predicted yourself I had no magical capabilities. I'm only armed with Nightmare Ender," he gestured to the cylinder on the ground, "the physical prowess I developed in training, and the tactical intelligence that came with it."

"Sorry for interfering with your mission Akito..." Kotori said, rather sarcastically.

She looked sharply at him.

"Anyway, your questions?" She asked, tilting her head a bit.

"It's obviously my job to hunt and destroy demons." Akito said. "Such as yourself." He added quietly. Did he even believe that much. No. He couldn't let the beast seduce him. "But what do you want with me?"

Kotori fell silent, looking blankly at Akito.

"You can see me Akito....a lot of people can't see demons like me...I just wanted to play around some..." She complaint.

Akito sighed. "Unfortunately..." He paused contemplating his next move. "Your definition of play..." He pulled on the string tied around Nightmare Ender, entering into Extended Mode as he grabbed it, he lunged. "Is different from mine!" There was a split second of hesitation in his mind. He tapped the ground and a puff of smoke ignited between him and the demon girl. He took his chance and retreated.

"You can keep running Akito...however...I will find you again. I'm Kotori by the way!" Kotori quickly called.

There had to be another reason why Akito didn't hurt her.

There was silence again as Kotori looked down her wound. She used some of her ice magic to freeze her wounds, this would help them some.

The next day, Aikto was patrolling the area assigned to him. Within that area was where he encountered the demon girl. Kotori, she said her name was. He had slain 4 demons this afternoon. The long term assignment meant that he was given some medical supplies in case he were hurt. There was no radio, he simply had to slay what he could and not die. He eventually happened upon the ally. Leaning against the wall, he called out. "Kotori, you there?"

Kotori originally lay up on one of the buildings, taking her afternoon nap until a name made her eyes shoot open. She crawled over to the ledge of the building, looking down to see a small image of Akito. Using her teleportation, she appeared right in front of Akito unexpectedly.

"I'm here..." She said a bit quietly and she sat beside Akito.

What am I throwing myself into? Akito thought to himself. I spent the past year training to do the exact opposite of this. 

 

Kotori appeared in front of him. Slightly startled, his question was momentarily forgotten. He remembered when the demon sat beside him. "How's your leg?" He asked.
