Oh darn I guess I can't watch it since I have a final at 10am  PDT on the 21st lolol..whatever I don't think I'm missing out on much, I have my eyes set on the PS4 and possibly PS3 haha.

I like to see what the new xbox is going to offer. But I'm staying with Ps4

That was Microsofts plan.

Going to be another shit box. I hope they release it in Japan so they can lose even more money.

Behold. Utter fanboy idiocy.

Here's a picture of the Playstation controller for you blokes to furiously fap to.

Seriously, we don't know anything about the new Xbox other than rumors that can't even be confirmed.

I feel like that there are some people who are such fanboys that they will buy a literal bag of shit as long as it had the logo of their favorite company on it. Doesn't even go for game consoles. Look at Apple vs PC fantards or virtually anything else out there. It's just stupid beyond all measure.

This is why major companies in the gaming industry are treating gamers like absolute dumbasses. Once they are hooked on their product, be it a game franchise, console, or service, the passive consumer sheep will accept whatever bullcrap these companies shit out and spend their money on it. Every company is doing it, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony they are all guilty and I can't blame them for making easy money. EA is obviously the worse offender but it's the direction the industry is going. Even Valve has exploited this, hats in TF2 have basically shown that people are willing to spend hundreds of dollars on things that are 100% useless and completely virtual.

TL;DR and my own burning hatred of fanboyism aside, even if you prefer one company over another, at least wait for information on the other product before bashing it. Acting like this will only ensure that the game companies we know and love will continue to exploit us.

I'm not a fanboy mate. I just love technology. I buy Sony and Nintendo consoles. The Xboxes have been shit though.

Not being a fanboy. Just want Xbox to go away and for another company to take its place. :P

The past does not dictate the future

The Xbox and Xbox 360 were pieces of shit and going by all the rumours the 720 won't be any different.

because the rumours are always true when it comes to video games

That was Microsofts plan.

Yep totally...they were probably like "This ungrateful girl, she doesn't deserve to watch this reveal live, all she cares about are those wretched Sony consoles, so lets throw a final at her so she can't watch the reveal!" They're totally plotting against me :P

And so the wait begins

let's see if they can make a comeback after the always online fiasco

If the Always online rumor turned out to be true, they can kiss the gaming industry goodbye,So Sega can emerge from the ashes with Dreamcast 2 (My dream that will never come true)

But they really haven't. Its fine if you prefer another console, but the Xbox is far from shit.Xbox Live is the largest online gaming community. And thats with it being an optional and paid service. Clearly, a lot of people like it.

In terms of discs used it is. Xbox cashed in the headstart.

Going to be interesting :) Even though im with Sony, its always interesting to see if other consoles might be worth getting later.

It's about time they open their mouths about it. I don't see it doing as well as the PS4 of course.

Nobody better be surprised when Always Online DRM is confirmed. Microsoft has made no efforts to actually refute the rumors. Just fired the employee who rubbed it in our faces...

I'm not excited for the system, but I am curious as a gamer to see how this plays out.

I just had the feeling that the new Xbox would have a very shitty sales even if they denied the Always online.

the Xbox is barely selling any unit in Japan and the only thing that sells the Xbox mostly are shooters

Other than Halo,Gears of War,Fable and Forza and some other franchises they barely had any 1st party titles compared to Sony and Nintendo

Microsoft is teasing a lot of surprises with the next xbox's reveal and it's exclusives for E3

Microsoft has discussed its plans for next Tuesday's Xbox Reveal event, confirming that next week's announcement will be about "laying the foundation" and taking an "inside look at the making of the new [Xbox] platform and the team that's brought it to life," before revealing "tonnes of exclusives" at next month's E3.

"We're really going to tell one story across two events," explained Microsoft's IEB chief of staff Aaron Greenberg on the latest episode of Major Nelson's podcast. "So we're going to start on the 21st, and really that's about revealing the next Xbox platform; our vision for the future of games, the future of entertainment.

"We definitely have a lot of surprises planned," Greenberg continued. "I know everyone knows the Infinity Ward team is hard at work on world premiering Call of Duty: Ghosts, so we're going to see what that looks like for the first time.

"People are going to get a great inside look at the making of the new platform and the team that's brought it to life. To be honest, it's really about the team, the people here. That's why we're inviting people to campus; we're going to bring them behind the scenes a little bit. We've never done this before and so it's really exciting to be able to do that. It's a lot of laying the foundation, probably the best way to describe it. And then just a couple of weeks later we go to E3."

Microsoft will use E3 to reveal more about the titles headed to the next Xbox, Greenberg says.

"E3 is all about the games," he continues. "At E3, I mean, if you're a gamer, it's going to be tonnes of exclusives, world premieres, and obviously even beyond that we have a lot to share between then and this holiday."

But would all that matter if the console turned out to be truly always online???

Until now they didn't deny anything regarding this rumor other than firing Adam Orth....who if he didn't speak we would've never know about that until E3 where all the big booos would be directed at them if this turned out to be true
