Audio tracks are NOT being replaced

Posted
Update: Robert Peeler, Community Manager for Square Enix, answered some questions about HD 1.5 ReMIX on the North American PlayStation Blog. While there was no new details revealed, he did state the following:

We're not replacing the tracks, the audio is being improved for better sound quality.

He also said that more details will be available in the future.

Kinda expected that to be honest.

Well that's a relief.

I assumed they would be doing this as well. But we had a lot of people going on about it on the forums.

i thought it would be replaced. oh well

Meh, I'm fine with that. But I thought I read a news post on KH13 about an interview saying that live instruments or whatever would be put into the game.. Or maybe that was for Theater Days only. Or I'm mistaken, I don't know.

Ah...I see.

Didn't think they would be.  Actually, I was hoping they wouldn't.  I prefer Sora and Riku's KH1 voices to their KH1 models.  Their older voices sound out of place to me.

I'm really glad because I would miss these voices xD

But is it for KH1 and CoM? Or just KH1?

If it's for both I imagine the game wouldn't take until September 30th to be released :/

It's for both KH and KH Re: CoM.

Oh, so it is the voices as well? What do you suppose they'll do for the cutscenes that are exclusive to the Final Mix version of the game?

Subtitles?

Subtitles?

I mean for like the voice parts. Will it to his new voice or what?

YES!!! SORA KEEPS HIS KH 1 VOICE, WHO HOO!!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!!!

But, if they're only redubbing 358/2 days cutscenes, and translating Jap. text, then why is this gonna be released in Fall???? They could probably finish it way before then, like maybe in the summer.

Should be noted though this comment was more about the music than about the voices. Doubt it'll be different for the voice tracks however.

That would be the "improved" part they mentioned, I reckon...

Oh I was thinking here they meant that the audio tracks would be digitally improved. Because if they use live instruments, that's pretty much replacing the tracks, which I would like a lot. But oh well, at least they're doing something.

Oh thank God xD
