Considering how exciting today's news of Jesse McCartney returning to voice Roxas in the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days HD Theater in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, we are all wondering who might be reprising their roles in the awaited HD Remaster.

One voice actor in question is Alyson Stoner who voiced Xion in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kairi in Re:Chain of Memories. She did not return as Xion in Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance], and instead the role was filled by Hayden Panettiere who is known for her performance as Kairi in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. So is she returning?

 

A bit of digging shows that Alyson Stoner posted seven upcoming roles on her official website on January 11th, one of which mentions her "voicing a familiar character in a popular video game." Considering the unexpected news we got today, this is probably the closest thing to a confirmation we'll get for now!

I don't consider Kingdom Hearts to be that popular.

Oh I so hope so. She voiced Xion so well.

 

PLEASE OH PLEASE LET HER VOICE XION AGAIN!!!!!

 

 

Edit: And KH is very popular hell. I live in Texas. A lot of people at my old high school were KH fans.

I really hope she comes back.  I personally felt she did a better job than Hayden (at least for Xion, anyway).

I wouldn't be surprised if she's referring to KH. SE seems to be very secretive about its games and voice actors (hence Jesse McCartney removing his twitter posts), and that seems just like something they would have her say.

Even though she did okay, I kind of wanted Hayden back. If only to see how she would does as Xion for an entire game. Easier to name drop too. It might be for the best if Alyson voices her though, since Hayden doesn't always reprise her role. Hoping Hayden returns for Kh3 at least. Might confuse the fans who start from 1.5 though if that's the game Alyson is talking about.

I hope she comes back for 1.5. It just won't be the same if she didn't voice Xion for the cutscenes/movie thing

This would emphasize the fact that they are separate individuals with very different personalities. Unfortunately, if everyone is re-recording their lines that means Richard Epcar will replace Billy Zane as Ansem Seeker of Darkness.

Aw, I hope not; I liked Billy Zane's Ansem better.  I mean, the difference was slim, but still...

Nooooo I want Hayden Panettiere so much!!!!! T_T  For both Kairi and Xion!  I swear, I'd give up watching Nashville, just let them cancel the whole show, to see that happen!!

Alyson Stoner has been in some Phineas & Ferb game, Re:CoM, and Days. She's going to be in Young Justice: Legacy. Phineas & Ferb was hardly popular as a video game despite the show being fantastic, Young Justice isn't a popular video game series either but a popular TV series, so the only one left is Kingdom Hearts.

No one is re-recording anything. They are recording for the new scenes in the Days Theater Mode.

I would greatly prefer Hayden do it, because Alyson... was awful. Which is terrible for me to think that, since I'm basing my judgement on a performance from four years ago...

I really hope she's talking about kh1.5. Haydn did a good job, but Alyson did better as Xion imo. Plus, Alyson doing Xion shows that Kairi and Xion aren't the same. It's also gonna sound weird to hear Hayden do the scenes that Alyson already did before in the game.

As of March 31, 2007, the game has shipped over 4 million copies worldwide."This is just for KH 2. Pretty sure that means it's quite popular...Not as much as CoD, obviously, but yes, it's extremely popular.

i always thought so too. hayden is a good voice actor, but i always thought that her voice never fit Xion in the first place. Alyson is what fits Xion best for me xDDDD hope she voices her!!
