What is the KH13 Kompetition?

Basically a fun little contest I organized to show off some of the best this site has to offer. I got DChuich's blessing for it like a year ago. So uh... here it is! This isn't a serious competition or anything. I mean, it's in the random forum. But it IS about letting the people of KH13 show who they think are the top picks on the site. That said, anybody found taking this kompetition seriously will be beaten to death.

So What Do I Get For Winning This Kompetition?

Besides the love and adoration of all KH13ers everywhere? I dunno, I'll whip you up some digital trophies to wear on your profile or signature. Something like that

There was a vote held in this topic. People who got enough votes were put into a category, if they didn't get enough votes, they didn't make the list. That said, if you notice a mistake and want it corrected, feel free to contact me, however...

I Have a Problem

​If you have something to report, do so. However, you must provide me with the proof and location of the problem. I don't have time to go searching through all of the topics to find whatever little detail you miss. Provided you cna provide me with a place and a reason, I will fix it, however

Rules

• keep it fun. Don't go antagonizing other people over this
• no begging. Don't go around asking for votes. Let them come naturally (You can advertise this topic if you'd like, however)
• No complaining if you don't make it
• Don't spam
• keep it clean
• if you have something to say about the kompetition in general, post it here. If it's specific to one category, post it there. If it relates to two or more categories, post it here.

The Kompetition was great, I don't think another one should be made straight way, I think one should be held every year so the results wouldn't be very similar to the last one and it would give us time to make adjustments to who we would vote for next time. More categories would be good but not completely necessary, but it would also be nice to see a change of categories in the next one. Hopefully we will see another Kompetition because this was great, thanks hatok.

this Kompetion should be an annual thing. That'll also give the new ones some time to gain enough reputation to get a chance next time.

I like the idea, but this kind of thing usually brings conflicts over members ( I believe this failed last year because of this )

Everything seems to have worked fine this year, so I guess it should continue

oh haha sorry. My thoughts were maybe some members get felt left out of it? Not me I could could care less, but it did basically seem to be only the "popular" members were nominated. Idk that was kinda irritating.

I was kind of thinking the same thing actually. I'm trying to think of some more inclusive questions for next time, or perhaps having a rule that has people choose more obscure members

thats a great idea. I mean it was kind of obvious but I knew if I said anything they would all flip on me. It's always the same people on this site that are, what's the word, on every single page of the website 24/7. There are other people they should know.

The possible reason why 40 - 50% of the members who weren't voted because those two are friends is because they know that person more. The more people know you, the better the chances of you getting nominated. If people don't know you that well, then it'd be less of a chance of being nominated.

If the person isn't active as much, there's gonna be a few people who know that person, thus it affects who gets nominated or not.

 

I also like haty's idea for the ones who are less well known.

Is that possible? I mean, that's kinda like creating a 'celebrities of KH13' category isn't it? Not that I'm against that, I'm actually all for it, but do you reckon the mods could/would help with a particular status that would aid inclusiveness in future Kompetitions?

 

FYI, I reckon the Kompetition should be Bi-annual (twice a year). Who really wants to wait a whole year?

That could work! but what's to stop people voting for one member with all 3 votes? or can you not do that? Sorry, re-learning about polls!

Look at the original KH13 Kompetition thread. Basically, people could vote for up to three people per category. All I'd change is the  >Legendary, =Legendary, <Legendary rules

No think about it, in a years time there will be a lot of "No comments", just think back to one year ago, when no one had even reached "Whore"
