(Let's get this RP Started!)

"And here we are, in New York City, awaiting for the Re:Connect store to open, and bring in the third edition to Virtual Reality games!" A News Reporter said from Lucas' TV. "We already have a long line of people waiting for this brand new game- Sylvan Online! To those of you that pre-ordered, good luck! And to those who haven't yet.......best of luck to you!"

Lucas sighed, turning away from his bedroom TV. His parents were gone away for work, his sister at her Private School. For Lucas, school was out for the day, giving him the perfect chance to play his long-awaited game.

Sitting before him, was a large box, with the words 'Re:connect to a whole new world; Sylvan Online'. A large picture was shown on the box, showing several elves in a large group.

Lucas had already opened the box, which held several manuals, the Game card, and then the 'VR Helm', a large headgear device of which the game card was to be inserted too.

Lucas smiled. "Soon..." He whispered, "I can't wait for this.."

"Re:Connect claims the game server's will begin once the world-wide stores open. That is in approximately eight minutes!" The reported declared.

Suzume nervously stood behind her brother, shifting feet every couple of seconds.

"This is so embarrassing..." she mumbled.

"Well you wanted the game..." her brother laughed.

"Yes, but I didn't know I'd be waiting in line with you and all of these nerd boys and I being there being one girl every 50 feet..." Suzume said. A couple of boys laughed behind her and Suzume turned red in embarrassment, inching closer to her brother.

"Stop latching onto me...we only have a couple of minutes." her brother said, moving her beside him.Suzume sighed, rolling her eyes. Her brother looked at her carefully.

"You know Sylvan Online is a very dangerous, are you sure you want to play the game?" her brother asked.

"Yes. I'm positive." Suzume said, dead serious.

Nobara or Dawn as she liked to call herself sat in front of watching a web-cast of the Re:Connect Event in New York. "AH~, it's looks like I'm finally do an un-boxing. She said and looked at her bed.

Nobara got out to her chair and skipped over to her bed to sit down. She took out her phone and pressed the recording button. Ping. She heard the sound as she clicked the button. She pointed the phone at the box and started to un-box. Nobara begin to describe all the feelings and things she got. She looked at the phone and clicked the button again. Ping.

Shura was walking home from the counselor's office. "Be careful if you choose to play Sylvan Online and, no matter what, promise me you will do what your therapist ask of you." These were the last words of their appointment and something stuck out to Shura about the last bit.

"He's worried my therapist will tell me not to play and I'll continue on anyway. Good for him to know so much about me, not that it matters…" Shura whispered to herself before arriving at her small home. Upon entering, Shura's mom gave her a big, tight hug. "Mother, you don’t need to crush me to show how much you care." Shura attempted, in vain, to get her mom off of her.

"Nonsense! I must show you how much I care 110%. If.it does harm to you then so be it!" Easing her grip, Shura's mom placed a plastic box to her daughter's chest. "Think of this as a congratulations present." Shura looked at her mother's gleaming smile before examining the box. It.was the Sylvan Online game box. "I know how much you anticipated this game so I went ahead and picked it up for you while you were out." The mom's face became solemn. "I know you don’t like me mentioning your sister, but I don't think she would approve of your obsessive gaming, even if you do it to honor her memory."

Shura glanced up at her mom for a brief second before returning her gaze to the box. "I have to keep playing…and I have to keep living the way I do. It's the only way I can make it up to her." Shura walked past her mother who, unlike her daughter, failed to shed a tear.

"Just promise me you'll be careful in there. I don’t want to lose my last remaining family." Shura's mom left the house to get groceries leaving Shura alone with her game. After cleaning up the house quickly Shura proceeded upstairs to her room, prepared to jump right into the game.

I looked at the box inside my house, 'So this is it.' I thought picking it up and putting it in my room. I take out the NerveGear and looked at it, 'I'll be waiting.' I thought as my T.V. In my room announced eight minutes left....

Lucas looked over the helm, smiling. He had been selected for the Sylvan Online Beta earlier, getting a small peak at what it was like. It was a first for him, as the other games were either dangerous, or just not interesting enough. Lucas began to look over the helm.

There were three LED lights, one to signal for internet connection, another for power, and the final one for actual connection to one's mind. As Lucas remembered, the helm was to be put on, activated (With the game card inserted) and the command words "Link, start!" Was to be said for connection to the game to begin.

Lucas sat upon his bed, looking back at the TV.

"Only four minutes now! Just look at these people, bristling with anticipation!" The reporter announced, looking very happy herself.

I then sat on my bed putting the game card, 'Sylvan Online' in. Then put the NerveGear on my head to get ready. Then stared back at the T.V waiting with excitement even though it didn't show....

Shura picked up the NerveGear helmet slowly. While nothing seemed out of the ordinary with it she didn't want to take any chances. "Hopefully the data I placed on my computer and the helm works okay. Shura thought while looking at the second NerveGear helm. Although the memories of SAO still hurt, Shura had to use the same helm she used then."I'll just keep this one as a backup, or give it to someone else." Shura looked at her laptop, which had the world release countdown active, and back at her computer, which was all prepared for the game. As a precaution, Shura wrote a quick note and placed it on the computer desk.If something goes wrong, do not remove the NerveGear. Feeling prepared to play, Shura anxiously awaited the end of the countdown.

"Okay." Nobara said and tossed the phone on her bed and then set out everything she would need. She quickly headed back over to her computer.

"Alright!" She exclaimed. She sat in her chair a huge grin spreading across her face. She took a deep breath. Four more minute. Nobara lipped with an air of glee. She was proud of herself for getting this. Even after everyrthing she had heard happened last time she still got Sylvan Online.

"It's only a minute or so now! The crowd, my goodness, they look really energetic about this! I can just feel the energy!" The reporter said, looking about the large crowd waiting out side. Lucas guessed it was cold enough, seeing it was late-fall.

Lucas flipped over the helm, peering inside. It looked like a normal headpiece, save for the fact several electronic parts were inside, all with various (and important) responsibilities. Lucas' fingers trembled with excitement, as he couldn't wait to link once more into Sylvan Online.

"This is it." He muttered, a proud smile on his face. "A world within a world."

"Just mere seconds now!" The reporter said excitedly, "In just 10 seconds, Sylvan Online's server will be live, and the whole world can expirience the third -and most anticipated- VRMMORPG yet!"

"10 seconds? Man time flies..." Suzume sighed, still standing beside her brother.

"I wish you luck. It's true you will be in Sylvan Online a bit later than everyone else, is that okay?" her brother asked.

Suzume gave a slight nod and looked at the timer as people started cutting threw the crowds. Suzume's brother held out his hand.

"You might wanna stay close to me because this is going to get really hectic..." he said with a slight smile. Suzume looked up at the clock and took her brother's hand.

"Your right, only 2 more seconds..." Suzume laughed.

"10 seconds left." I said to myself smiling as I looked at a old photo. Of him and I together back then when we were kids. We would have smiles on our faces for days until... That day when he left...he gave me a tiny black shard it was a very rare gem. And I haven't met him for 13 years. I took the black shard in my hand and laid on my bed...

Nobara cheered. "Wooo~ I can't wait in till I can jump it to this thing." She said gleefully. She had been waiting for this to happen for awhile now.

"Alright!" She said as she went over to her bed a grabbed all her gear. She headed over to her tv.

"Now I finally use this tv." She started to set everything up.

"Now all's left is to wait." She said sitting in front of her tv.

Lauren burst into her house, tossing the groceries onto the table. "I will kill you if I miss Sylvan's opening!" She screeched at her sister as she ran up the stairs. "You wouldn't!" her sister joked. Her sister was quiet for a moment. "You wouldn't, right?" Lauren grinned evily as she started setting it up. "Maybe." she called back. As she finished, she checked the time. "10 seconds, barely made it." she sighed.

"Three...two...one! You heard it here, Sylvan Online's server are live as we speak! The stores worldwide are now open!" The reporter announced, watching as the line of people filed into the store. "To all of you with the game already...good luck!"

By that time, Lucas was already dashing around, getting the game ready. He inserted the game card into it's slot, and plugged the helm in. He quickly lept onto his bed, shoving the helmet as quick as he could onto his head. He heard a whirring noise, than a ping sound, signaling the helmet was working. After a few moments Lucas yelled: "Link...Start!"

A flash of color went past his eyes, and his mind was no longer on Earth. He faced a login screen, and used his mind to type in his credentials. After a short periods of brief diagnostics, the game was ready.

~

Lucas found himself in a blue room, facing a screen. "Please begin character creation for Sylvan Online." A soothing female voice said. Lucas entered the character name Eon, selected the gender male, and then another screen popped up.

"Welcome to Sylvan Online!" It declared, "We thank you for joining the earlier Beta Test! You will find a special item in your inventory."

"Character generation has begun, welcome to the world, Eon." The female voice said again, and to Lucas, everything went white.

I completely laid down and said, "Link.......Start!" Then my screen went white and I was surrounded by blue screens. Then I heard a women's voice, "Please begin character creation for Sylvan Online." Another blue screen appeared in front of me and I typed 'Zero' then choose my gender. A big screen appeared infront of me saying, "Welcome to Sylvan Online!" Then added, "Thank you for your paraticipation in the Beta Test. You'll find a special item in your inventory." That made me remember that I was chosen for the Beta Test...I didn't do much but found rare drops. Then the screen went white...then I found myself at what it seemed to be the spawn. I looked around then at myself, "Cool...." I looked at the top left corner seeing my health bar....

Mmm so... i ned to connect this... and ... done! i said while connecting the game to the PC. Sylvan Online huh? ... mmm i would like to see something new. I said while i lais down on my bed. Then i put the NerveGear on my head. "mmm I´m gonna take a look..." Link Start!

Then my screen became white... many menus begin to appear on my screen... then i logged in. The next thing i saw was a blue screen "Please begin character creation for Sylvan Online." i heared around me.. it was a female voice. I entered the name: Evan. Select gender: Male. Then another screen appeared... with a text in it.

"Welcome to Sylvan Online! We thank you for joining the earlier Beta Test! You will find a special item in your inventory."

"Character generation has begun, welcome to the world, Evan." The female voice said again. I was inside.

"Let's go, Suzume." her brother said, running foward.

"Ahh! Your going to fast!" Suzume said, trying to keep up.

"Your to gentle, I'm not carrying you." her brother said with a smile, swiftly cutting through the lines, with a Sylvan Online game in hand.

"Yes, I would like to buy this of course. It's not for me, it's for her." her brother said, placing the game on the counter and pointing to Suzume. In about two miunets, they were on their way home.

"Just point me out everywhere why don't you?" Suzume snapped, playing with the bag. Her brother just laughed as they finally arrived to their small home.

"Mother's at work, and Father's with her. I'll be doing my homework, okay? Be careful..." her brother said before walking out. Suzume nodded and dashed off to her room, flipping the little flatscreen T.V on and sat carefully down on the floor, popping in the disk as she logged on, her mind not in the real world.

A female voice rang thew the area as a white screen pulled up. "Welcome to Sylvan Online. Please begin your character creation." she said.

Suzume selected female and typed in the name 'Camilla Corvi'. The name Camilla from her best friend and Corvi, her mother's middle name. Then, Camilla, the former Suzume blacked out into a screen.

Lauren put on the gear. Taking a deep breath, she shouted: "Link...Start!" and was teleported to the world of Sylvan Online. She was faced a login screen, and logged in quickly. The room changed, and she was now in a blue room, facing a screen. "Welcome to Sylvan Online. Please begin your character creation." Said a female voice. She looked at the screen, Name:______ Gender:______. She filled in 'Livia' for her name, and Female for the gender. The second she had finsihed filling it out, it was replaced by another screen. "Welcome to Sylvan Online! We thank you for joining the earlier Beta Test! You will find a special item in your inventory." The female voice returned. "Character generation has begun, welcome to the world, Livia."

Nobara sighed greatfully as the time was up. "No more waiting." She said. She quickly turned her computer off and put her AR Helm. She took a few seconds before putting the game into the player and starting the Helm. She was quickly surrounded by blue screens. "Welcome to Sylvan online. Please begin Character creation." She heard a computerizd women say. The words Name: and Gender: appeared. Name: Light's Dawn; Gender:Female.

"Welcome to the world, Light's Dawn." She heard the same voice say. Then everything went seemingly white.

Shura put the gear on, already having set the game up fully, and sighed. "Link...Start!" she shouted. Sitting through the colorful Full DIve sequence, her determination grew. After logging in, the familiar female operating voice spoke. "Welcome to Sylvan Online. Please begin your character creation." The creation screen was in front of Shura. It didn't look any different from any of the other login screens she had seen before. Both the "Name" and "Gender" fields had already been filled out; Dessedere as the name, and female for gender. That's weird. Did I fill out before realizing it?" Shura thought about this while the voice spoke once more and the screen changed. "Welcome to Sylvan Online!" We thank you for joining the earlier Beta Test! You will find a special item in your inventory." A beeping sound rang three times in the room.

A male voice had spoke this time. "An administrator will be seeing you upon completion of your character generation. Listen carefully to what they say. And enjoy the game." Shura nodded as the female voice notified her character generation had begun.

"Welcome to the world, Dessedere."

Eon woke up, he didn't really 'wake' he just opened his 'eyes'. Before him was a small village-like town, and from his time in the Beta, he knew it was called 'Rimton', though was players referred to it as the 'Beginner's Town'. Eon looked down, seeing a pinging icon, that displayed a small blue treasure chest. With his hand, he poked the icon, and his inventory screen popped up.

Inside, displayed three items. One was a note titled 'To all Players'. Eon searched for a way to open it, but it appeared to open after a set time. The last two were the items for Beta players, a pair of 'Elven Gloves' and a Healing vial.

"Useless." Eon muttered, standing up. He breathed in, the out.

"Still as cool as ever." He said, seeing many other player's spawning in, and gathering their bearings. Eon walked down the short path from the standard spawn point, stopping at a pond to gaze at his character's appearance.

I walked out of the spawn area and opened my menu screen and found three new items one looked like it wasn't openble yet. The other was for the Beta Testers a pair of Elven Gloves and a Healing Vial. I looked at everything in my inventory and my weapon from the Beta Test was there, 'Is this a glitch or something?' I thought to myself and got out of my menu screen and walked over to the field like area seeing boars. 'I haven't seen these things in a while.' I thought as I summoned a beginners scythe charged and ran past it. And it broke like glass...

Dessedere looked around. Rimton looked exactly like it did in the beta, minus the many players and slight visual improvements. A character with a strange aura walked up to Dessedere wearing a red cloak and carrying a treasure chest.

"You have a decision to make, Dessedere. Either accept the contents of this chest, which houses character data specifically modified by you last time we met, or continue playing the game as a new user the normal way. If you accept the chest, you will begin at a higher level, but any further leveling will be slow, you will not be allowed to level up for a while, and you will be at our beck and call. Should you choose to continue on as a normal new user, all of the modifications to your character will be deleted and you will lose 100 exp from your first 5 fights." The male voice boomed. Dessedere thought about the choice for a while, but ultimately made the only decision she thought was even worth it.

"I choose the treasure chest." Dessedere said. The man grinned as he disappeared, leaving the chest on the ground. Dessedere opened it and watched as her character's parameters changed to match the character data she had saved to her computer and helm. Checking her inventory, Dessedere saw that there were six items in it; an auto-equipped item that locked her leveling until the majority of players had reached intermediate player-levels, an unique item that could be used to summon her sister's pet, who in this game generally served as a guide, a pair of Elven Gloves, a Healing Vial, and an item that couldn't be opened at the time. I wonder who noticed I modded my game data? Last time no one noticed I hacked the game at all. Maybe I left too many tracks. Oh well, at least I'm not banned. A lap dog, but not banned. Dessedere looked around. She heard some of the players commenting on the exchange between her and who she thought might have been a GM acting on behalf of the Administrators. Words like "cheater" and "hacker" were thrown around right along with angry glares. Some of these guys were going to be a problem in the future. Dessedere wanted to find a partner, another player who she could tag along with so she wouldn't be the main target.

"LInk... Start!" Analise called to the helm. She sat at her desk in her empty bedroom. A pleasing female voice responded. "Welcome to Sylvan ONline. Character creation has begun." the voice said as the screen became a regular MMORPG Character creation screen. She quickly filled out the name and gender field. "Name: Rikuva Gender: Female" she entered. A few quick moments later, and her desired appearance was on the screen of her eyes. "Done." she said. The feminine voice came again. "Character generation has begun. Welcome to the world, Rikuva." Analise blinked and she was in the world. A small village was before her. She decided to waste no time at spawn and walked into the village known as Rimton.

'Now that I think about it where am I?' I pulled up my map screen, 'Oh I spawned in Rimton.' I thought to myself and saw a notification on my inventory slot I clicked on it. And all the items I got from the Beta Test were there, 'Ok this is not supposed to be here.' I thought but I couldn't get rid of it either.....there was no delete button.....
