Hey I've been writing a fan fiction in the writing section for about a couple months now: 358/2 Days: Kairi's Story. A link to it is in my signature. I've reached a point in the story now where that school we know Kairi attends is introduced, and instead of just describing it in writing, I thought it would be much more fun, and much more of an opportunity, to ask if anyone here would like to draw their own interpretation of the academy. Any medium, any perspective! All of that is up to you. And there is no criteria at all. However you may imagine it looking like, is totally welcome. If there is more than one submission, then without favoritism, I'll pick the one that I believe ties with the story in the best way, and post it with the fanfiction! Thanks so much reading, and I'm excited to see if anyone has any ideas

 

A great inspiration to write Kairi's story was this clip from Kingdom Hearts II. It may be helpful:

I spent the past two days working on DI Academy art, on comp and irl. I've tried a sanggojae rural style, an urban school building based on my own school, tons of stuff. But none of them can be considered worthy of actually posting. You don't know how bad I feel. (._. )

Hey no worries man! I truly appreciate the time and effort that you spent working on it. It really means a lot to me All of those ideas sound very interesting and inspiring as well. I say you should reconsider because I think any art is worth posting, no matter what, but nevertheless, the choice is yours alone. Thanks so much man, and once again no problem at all!

I found this video before, and I think it might also be helpful or inspiring. It's a mod, allowing you to control Sora on the mainland of the islands. Many things are missing because that setting is only intended for the scenes that take place on the shore, but it still gives a new perspective that the game itself doesn't:
