[XIIISwords]

This has been out since December, but I just saw it.

Supposedly these characters were leaked through early scans (NOTE: NOT CHARACTER ROSTER, JUST NEWCOMERS). They are of course not definite even if this is legit, because the game is still in its planning stage. They include:

King K Rool (Donkey Kong)
Zoroark (Pokemon)
Ghirahim (Zelda)
Little Mac (Punch Out)
Saki Amamiya (Sin and Punishment)
King Hippo (Punch Out)
Ridley (Metroid)
Prince Sable (Frogs the Bell Tolls)
Palutena (Kid Icarus)
Professor Layton (Professor Layton)
Megaman (Megaman)
Crystal (Star Fox)
Slime (Dragon Quest)
Shulk (Xenoblade)
Sonic (Sonic)

My Opinion on some of the characters:
Zoroark- Lucario replacement ): Likely
Ghirahim- Too "one time only" ? But i hear he's very important to the whole Hyrule mythos.
LIttle Mac- Assist Trophy earlier, so seems okay.
Ridley- If they scale him down like in Melee's opening, it would work. Metroid needs a non-Samus representative
Palutena- PLEASE! She was a boss, so they have her moveset roughly. Hey, they made Peach out of nothing. I'd expect Magnus though...
Megaman- Not personal to me, but since people have been clamoring for him, I say okay.
Crystal- A non-Fox clone. Please.
Slime- lol, but it'd work. DQ Adventures for the DS gives him more viability, although I would prefer Sora and Riku as SE representatives.

As much as I am a fan of the games, I would not want him in a fighting game. It would just be wierd >.<

yeah i wouldn't beleive this i mean they didn't have Mario or Link or Pikachu you know the ones that have been in ALL OF THE SMASH BROS GAMES!!! so yeah this is utter bs so it is most likely face pure and simple

That leak is from December, the game hadn't even began early concept stages at that point.
I don't expect any characters to be announced until the year is over, even if it's the veteran characters we all know are going to be there.
I remember the whole launch around Brawl that time and constantly checking the Smash Dojo website. Ah those were the days.

Yeah I can't see any of these being real. I'll only believe them if Nintendo themselves release the info.

Nevertheless, give me Marth and I don't care who else appears in the game, he is my character and always will be xD

You see, if you are ever in doubt about a 'leaked' roster, just check fro stupid illogical things. Like a billion third party characters, or Ridley.

1: That's far too early to have a definite list for. (IIRC it was Crunch-Time for Uprising at that point ) and 2: Ridley (As much as I love that magnificent cretin) was explicitly denied due to mechanics problems. Unless the development team and fans are REALLY determined to make him work I don't see them going through with it.

I was going to complain about the far-out character choices, but remembering R.O.B. I think the sky's the limit.
