In order to time travel , one must cast away the flesh. What about the events with the Cornerstone of Light in Kingdom Hearts 2?
I mean, it was so simple to people just cast magic doors. By that time Sora was already with his body back, and Donald, Goofy and Pete traveled too.
That was a proof time travel was possible in Kingdom Hearts series, but it was kind of forgotten despite that portal to Terra's armor in FM+.

Anyways, it just seems to not follow the same conditions to time travel in DDD, also Young Xehanort took an arrow to the knee a bunch of nobodies with partial hearts inside to the future, and they were most bodies...

Ideas?

Timeless River isn't from back in time. If anything, it is a small bubble of a world (Mysterious Tower, Space Paranoids) that has been created to protect the Cornerstone of Light and thus Disney Castle.
That portal to Terra's armour also doesn't go back in time. It transports everyone to the Keyblade Graveyard in the present.
And I have no idea what you're talking about with that last bit about Young Xehanort, but I think you really need to look over the subbed custscenes when they're added to the site.

They say Timeless River is the past of Disney Castle ... Merlin is a wise mage, he probably used Time Magic or something to open a door to the past. They didn't travel on their own, they used this door.

Young Xehanort mission was to escort other norts from past timelines together by the end of DDD wans't it? And once Xemnas was there, a Nobody, that means a body, flesh, time traveled. That was confusing, I just wan't to see theories about it, it's impossible to be 100% sure right now, it's like you say me you understand Evangelions ending. Kingdom Hearts went Gainax with the nonsense time travel.

Timeless River does go back in time that was why maleficent said that "on the other side of this portal the're about to begin construction on that retched castle" and Merlin said that the nature of the world may tempt them to do something dark. But more on topic, the door to Timeless River was special Merlin Magic, young Xehenort didn't have one so in order to time travel through darkness it was neccessary to cast off his flesh.

Ya I see why you might say that, but I meant that there is only one door to Timeless River and Merlin has access to it, Not saying that he can just time travel to any time he wants.

I'm with you. This whole time travel crap has put too many holes in the plot for me to count. I'm hoping that maybe it will be explained through better translations and the journel.

Maybe it is just the heart of Xemnas that just traveled. It was revealed that they could still harbor hearts.

Maybe Xemnas had a small fragment of a heart left, since it was still growing. Because he is the shell of AX, his heart grows around the memory inside the body, and rebuilds itself.

Hence, why Xemnas was there, it was just the heart.

Think of it like, it is not truly their bodies there but rather their hearts, taking on the form. That is what I think so far.

Timeless River is a way of manipulating the present by changing what possible future reality the present experiences. . . this is shown by how the cornerstone appears dark not gone altogether. If it was proper time travel then the present would be changed instantly.

YMX time travel isn't allowed to change history, so people can only influence the future from where history ends ("history ending" is Xehanort being revived as the defeat on Xemnas is the last important milestone that must happen). Merlin timetravel involves entering another realm of sorts that influences, but doesn't instantly change the present reality. Merlin timetravel only changes things not people or hearts as Pete doesn't remember fighting himself (or does he?) and Mickey doesn't remember meeting Sora. Timeless River is an alternative reality that can influence the present reality in some ways, not truly the past. Whereas YMX is from this reality so is bound by more rules than Timeless River experiences and can only silently go into the past or do things that does not disrupt the flow of time.

That makes sense, like when Sora who came back with a "magic body made of light or wtv" after he turned into a heartless, by that time I don't know if Nomura had already created the nobody idea, because it seemed a little forced to Sora come back without his body (Roxas).

It is still weird, if they could create new bodies why would they worry to create vessels anyaway? I guess their real bodies were there, but it's just not explained yet how.
