The point that people seem to be missing

I wanted to make sure people got the whole point of what this is supposed to be about.
A lot of kids who weren't participating today got bullied themselves by people who were participating, saying that if you didn't participate and take bad grades because you wouldn't speak, that you were bullying gay kids.
The point was not to seek out and be mean to anyone who didn't participate. It's about acceptance and tolerance, not about starting a witch hunt over nothing. Just because people aren't refusing to talk doesn't mean that they hate gays and are horrible bullies. I didn't participate because I had two oral reports to give, wanted to study with my friends at lunch for a science test, and had to act out a couple of scenes in Romeo and Juliet for English class. And there were plenty of other kids who had similar reasons for not doing it.
As previously stated, the point was to support acceptance and tolerance. Don't attack the kids who didn't participate. It doesn't speak about their character at all. Every single day we should support acceptance and tolerance. Today was supposed to be a day against bullying for EVERYONE, not directly bullying to kids who didn't participate.
So, basically guys, remember that today is a day to support people. Making other people's lives better by supporting them is more important than tearing down other people.
I'm not complaining about what happened to me, I just want y'all to know that today is more than that and it sets a terrible, hypocritical example when people think it's an excuse to pick on other people.

Well the weird thing is this event coincided with the day 4/20. And well, 4/20 isn't a very good day to say the least.

I try not to be mean to anyone, ever. I'm normally the one who gets picked on and easily manipulated >_> So I guess I was successful today? ;-;

Or maybe I'm reading too much into it. Maybe you can try to show support in a different way to show your position?

I'm honestly not entirely sure myself. The posters say "SPEAK UP AGAINST SILENCE" but then they're being silent?? I don't get it, but I guess it's the point that matters more than anything.The protest is a good thing to do, but I'm having trouble understanding what it's trying to represent or symbolize. Usually for a social issue you want communication so that the problem can be fixed. I don't quiet understand what staying silent is suppose to mean.

today is also the Kony 2012 day.

Yeah, and it's also smoke pot day. Why are all these things being held on the same day?! >.<I'm honestly not entirely sure myself. The posters say "SPEAK UP AGAINST SILENCE" but then they're being silent?? I don't get it, but I guess it's the point that matters more than anything.

4/20 has been around for a while now. It's poor planning in my opinion. Why hold it on this day? There are so many other dates to choose.

Although i don't really want to say this, but it is also the birthday of a certain dead, evil, cruel and diabolic dictator whose name i won't mention.

Yes yes it does ...This is just sad..... I'm confused on why its on this day, and why the anti-bulliers were bullying.... Does that mean that they're hypocrites?
