Ok, so, in KH2, when you first go to space paranoids, Tron tells you that the Hollow Bastion OS is a copy of the original program made by ENCOM. In DDD, at the end of Sora's story in the Grid, Rinzler/Tron gets killed by CLU. The Grid, from what i can tell, is the original program, that's why you don't see CLU or Kevin in KH2. Because Space Paranoids is just the copy of it, Tron is still alive, but Rinzler isn't. (unless there's some thing going on where if you die in the realm of sleep, you get restored to the realm of light.) So what do you think?

Yep, that's the gist of it all. It would also seem Tron and Rinzlers memorys/hearts are linked, despite one being a copy of the other.
