Ok, funny as it sounds, I was talking on msn and accidentally paused like in the right spot where Vanitas is being unmasked (kinda) xD. Well it seems his eyes are golden of course but it also seems they have a lighter golden color towards the middle near the pupil. Also to the right of the eye, you can see black bangs. One falls further down the face and one is kinda short lol. I just thought it was neat and I want to know who he is!? (so do all of us) /shot

Wellll, I just was bored and posted it and want to hear theories or whatever of who you think it is.

One of my friends said that too, but I don't think so. However, you never know in the world of KH series. I am going through characters who all have black hair, but it probably is a new character all together...

Good to see somebody else notice the longer bang too, I don't think Vanitas look like any of the current characters and the more they revealed the less likely it seem he has appear in the series at all.

I guess it COULD be sora's face, since square are keeping his identity top secret. But that'd be weird. I hope its a new character all together, but for some reason I doubt it.

About his eyes.. There are some characters that have golden and yellow eyes respectively in the universe of Kingdom Hearts: Saix, Vanitas, Master Xehanort, Xemnas and Terra in the secret trailer of KHII: Final Mix.

You may wonder, what do these characters have in common besides their yellow/golden eyes? All these characters gave in to the darkness and got those yellow eyes thus. I'm proving this by telling you that before giving into the darkness these characters hadn't had yellow eyes, for example, Isa (Saix somebody) has green eyes, Xehanort (Xemnas's somebody) has brown eyes, Terra had blue eyes before.

So what I'm trying to point out is that we shouldn't be focusing too much on Vanitas's eyes since they (probably) only got like this recently.
So if there actually is a face we know under his mask, it seems to have black hair right?

Thinking about characters in Kingdom Hearts having black hair leads me to Xion, but that wouldn't be making much sense, right?

I mainly was focusing on the hair, but the lighter part of his eyes caught my attention, but as you said it could just be related to that certain character giving in to the darkness and nothing more than that.

I kind of hope it is not Xion and I think Nomura said in an interview somewhere that she would only appear on Days or something...

Xion? really? I Mean Vanitas has the same VA as Sora form what i'm hearing,but in the serect trailer he was a "dupe" of Xehnort, so my threory is this. What he's a younger Xehnort,who, as in the recent trailer shows my theory of Terra going dark side , anyways I think he's a young version of Xehnort who consumes Terra and becomes Xemas. He could look like a young Xemas.

Sure, a lot of people relate them to darkness...
but what about the whole Organization? Or Maleficent? Or any of the villains? They all typically live in darkness, have surrendered to darkness or whatever, and yet they're eyes are not yellow/gold...

Just a thought..

Ansem the wise is a good example, he has yellow eyes. So yeah I guess you could say its becoming less and less associated with darkness

Well... The whole idea of being a young Xehanort is kinda farfetched to me... I mean, 1st off, the black hair, cause Xehanort has white hair... 2nd, Xehanort was an apperentice of Ansem the Wise... I just believe it to be a little off... Now, as mentioned in another thread, Vanitas could look like Xion, cause Xigbar saw Xion as Ven, but Roxas (who is somehow linked to Ven) and Axel (who's human form may have saw Vanitas's face) see Xion's face as a Kairi look-a-like... Cause if Roxas looks at Xion's face, and her face is based off Sora's memories of Kairi, well then shouldn't she look exactly like Kairi??? Color and all??? Maybe she looks like Vanitas??? I'm only saying...

However, vanitas could be Riku's father/brother also, so we won't know until Birth by Sleep is released.
