IT MAKES PEOPLE LOOK BAD! (like me. I should only have 1 point and it says I have 3.)

I have 1 point. :C

The warning thing never left?

The only person able to see your warning is yourself and the mods anyways.

Warnings?

Warnings?

It's what you get when you break a rule, and if you get so many of them you're banned.

http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.png Thank gosh im a good kid.. Is that why all the likes are gone?

No, that's not the reason. I'm going to quote Danne's status to explain.

Sorry everyone, but total reputation counts will be broken for the next day or so. Don't worry, your likes are still there!

I believe it's because of how he's been upgrading the site. But it's completely unrelated to you being able to see your warning points.

To give a warning, why else?

Stop being a communist

Wait that's back?

And how do I have 2 warning posts if I never broke a rule :/

It's a glitch in the system. I have 1 point in the history and it displays 3 for me under my posts. I've told DChiuch about it so it should be fixed eventually.

What happened to the likes? I back to being the way I was when I joined this site.

Yeah, the warnings never left. I should know.

How much warnings do you need till your banned.

@Topic

I never even realized this at all till now @_@

It shouldn't be a big deal, unless you do break a rule most of the time and dont want to look at the number of warnings you get.

i haven't seen this in a loonng time.

Warnings never left, we just don't really like using the points that often?

The Health and Safety man has returned, and he took my reps with him. Thanks for bringing him back, DC.

it's too much trouble to actually log the warning levels/points but they've always been there.

we'll do it when it's a serious offense or you've been acting up a lot, at least i do

why not

Because it induced rage and was a flawed system of punishment.

The warning thing never left?

It left after a massive clusterfiretruck was caused from people having their warning levels raised higher and higher for dumb crap. The problem is that it either expires after a LONG time or after moderators remove them themselves which they often forgot to do for everyone. This lead to people getting near the warning level of temporary bans because of minor rules being broken of the course of a long time.

It's not really a matter of who can see it or not, it's just the idea of accumalting penalties over time (usually for minor stuff) is rather silly.

There's no reason to complain really, it's always been there you guys just couldn't see it. We hardly use it anyways.

Exactly. We only raise a member's warning level for a minor rule (for example, double posting) if they break it multiple times within a short time period --like if they double post multiple times within a few days. But if the member double posts by accident (or because they're posting images and they've exceeded the image limit on the post), then we let it slide. If they break a major rule (like junior modding) then we'll raise their warning level each time they break it.

Really, we don't go around "LOLOLOLOL THEY BROKE A RULE, LET'S GIVE THEM 10000 WARNING POINTS" every time a person double posts or puts their thread in the wrong section. We're pretty chill about the whole thing.

we don't remove them ourselves for anyone unless they were wrongly warned, you're mistaked about that. and points accumulating doesn't mean we band you. if you double posted four times and have four warnings from that we dont say "oh they have four warnings ban them". we look at what they're for. now, if there are like 8 or so warnings for something minor like double posting, then yes, you will probably have a one day or so ban, because at that point you're just ignoring us.

no reason to get so worked up.

and yeah, we don't automatically give warnings, especially not for first offenses. i personally with smaller things send reminders and only up warnings after the first (or depending on what it is, second) offense.

tutti frutti. I just noticed the warning points. I thought I did something wrong until I read this. No offense to the staff, but feel like I've done something out of hand with this new system.

you haven't! don't worry about it. it's nothing new, we've had the warning system for like ever, but with the forum upgrade, the system upgraded too which is why you guys can see it now.
