When those two were defeated by Sora and his friends. Master Xehanort was able to come back. Thats why Ansem and Xemnas are back.

I know that. SInce they were both defeated, MX did return, but if he wants his heartless and his nobody to return, he'd have to unlock his heart againWhen those two were defeated by Sora and his friends. Master Xehanort was able to come back. Thats why Ansem and Xemnas are back.
